Not just great on-mountain food, but good food overall. Roasted pork, potatoes, and cabbage were outstanding. Price was less than a cheeseburger and fries at base of mountain. Pizza and salads looked good. Bar is small for the size of the venue and can get busy. High Alpine location food looked good as well. Aspen needs to post (chalkboard and/or online) the menu of the cafeteria selections in addition to the basic bar/grill selections. We almost went back down mountain to east because all we saw outside was the bar grill menu. read more

Large location but filled to the max during the holiday season. Check out my before and after pictures of the eating area. I had the pizza and side of some tuna salad. Everything tastes good on the mountain. They have outdoor heated seating areas, which is a nice overflow. Connected to the Gondola which means they will be non-skiers at this location. read more

I don't understand all the complaints. Chicken soup was awesome. Some really great food choices here and plenty of staff. Also provide pitchers for free water not mini cups. The only minus was Mac cheese which was cold & needs to be covered during slow hours. Light years better experience than Vail properties and no idiotic touch screen ordering. read more

Convenient mid mountain lunch/bar spot on Snowmass mountain. The prices are as steep as the location! I got the chili and a side salad with a Coke and it ran me almost $30. The chili was real good! Plus, where else are you going to go? read more

This place has totally gone down hill. Prior to covid it was a great spot to eat. Now with a limited menu it is a total waste of time. Nothing ready when you want it, slow slow slow ! We have tried it a few times and will never eat at this place again. Go to one of the other mountains restaurants. Salad in plastic all plastic and Ordering from the app seems to tale forever. read more

This restaurant is always packed during the busy lunch hour in the winter from 12-2. Finding a table is the most challenging thing. The food is decent but I think it's a bit pricey. A lot of tourists come here for lunch, but I rather go to other restaurant in the mountain that less touristy. Sorry to give 3 stars because it's always hassle to get a table here. read more

This place serves outstanding food. Quick and easy for those with kids. Tuesday nights farm to table with live music. We tried the grass fed ribeye, striped bass, pizza (yes it's $13 a slice have them cut it in half perfect for 2 kids) and cherry cobbler for dessert. DIY Caesar salad station with fresh romaine hearts. Also an outdoor grill serving burgers brats and dogs. Full bars inside and outside. Lots of fun. Chef driven and the service is very well executed. When you are literally in the middle of nowhere on a mountain, you are grateful for an overcooked burger. Imagine how excited I was when I realized that Elk Camp has something much better to offer the tired and famished skier. This place is located at the top of the Elk Camp Lift - the one with the black gondola cars at Snowmass. There are the usual cafeteria foods such as pizza and burgers. But if you are on a "Paleo" diet or the Terry Wahls autoimmune diet protocol, you require copious quantities of veggies and some relatively unadorned animal protein. They can deliver! There is rotisserie chicken every single day plus one other form of meat and several choices of *real* cooked veggies such as baked sweet potatoes or fresh green beans. No more bushels of raw greens if you want to be healthy. Oh, but there is a fabulous salad bar, as well. So you *can* have it all. If you're not paleo, there is macaroni & cheese, pizza ... I'll have to look more carefully next time I'm there. Plus lots of packaged snacks that you can put in your pocket and save for later. I was able to get a gluten free bun to go with the chili that I shared with my hubby. There were other gluten free selections. Too much to take in all at once. I'm coming here every day for lunch while I'm here! Even better, as part of my 7 day lift ticket, I received a $20 voucher toward lunch at one of the on-mountain restaurants. read more

The food was surprisingly good - much better quality than we anticipated for an on-mountain spot to eat. We had green Chile corn chowder and cheese pizza. The chowder was really tasty with corn, chiles, vegetables and a variety of toppings. The pizza was so good. The sauce tasted freshly made and the dough was chewy. We stopped by at noon on a snowy day and it was very quick to get thru the line. The only downside is the prices are ridiculous but that is to be expected for a resort. We ate outside under the heaters- inside was packed and most people had their masks off to eat. read more

Summer: I like hiking up here when it's not mobbed and enjoying a drink. However if it is busy, it's beyond unbearable and stressful to have people poaching tables left and right. I would not ever come back here for the summer dinner. Also the John Mayer style live music made me nauseous. Winter: It's as expected during ski season. However, bonnies crushes it in food and has better prices. read more

Great food but very crowded. The vegetarian soup was delicious snd the salad bar had fresh greens and slot of options.

My family visited on July 3 after taking the chairlift. We had $10 off vouchers and were excited to try the restaurant. I was happy to see gluten free pastries, pizza, and bread in addition to salad bar. I ordered a sandwich and the employee was very knowledgeable. Unfortunately the gf bread was $4.95 more than the sandwich price. I also got a cookie. When I got to the table I was disgusted to see that one side of the bread was fuzzy and moldy. I tried to eat around it but it tasted weird. The cookie was fine but hard. Overall I am disappointed based on the price/low quality and would advise other gluten free customers to just get salad. read more

Nice easy pitstop if skiing Bull Run, Gunners View or any of the Elk runs. Decent cappucinos, good sausage/hotdogs on a bun - and an extensive bar and cafeteria with high end liquor, wines and champagne. Great place to sit, rest and people watch while you recharge for the quad back up. read more

Met a man named Taylor, he was dressed like a manager or someone in charge. He was so sweet, he opened the door for us, helped find us a table, and wiped it down. He also told us a really good joke. He made our day at Snowmass. He was our ray of sunshine on our snowy day. read more

I went to the Elk Camp restaurant for breakfast and all they had 3 breakfast burritos under a heat lamp and 5 bread-styled croissants "pastries". They were all unpriced. There were no plates available and I finally was able to find an employee who gave me one. I tried the pastries and they tasted day old and dry and lacked any fresh taste. They were $5. They do a better job with lunches but because their space is limited and because they are located on a popular easy ski area and near the teaching area it is often hard to find a seat. Here's an example of why I think SkiCo restaurants aren't run like family business. The girl at check out, held my Visa card in the reader because she feared I could not figure out when to remove it. It is no different than the 100's we've all used. I think most people in the area prefer Gwyn's which was started 35 years ago by the Gordon family. (Gwyn has produced 3 mountain cookbooks of her original recipes.) It's located in a popular area near the High Alpine lift just off the Alpine Springs lift. They have run it as a family business virtually every year since. This is the last remaining independent restaurant on the mountain. You know it is run like a family business as soon as you need help from one of their employees. It's size makes it easy to find a seat. I believe most people feel they outcompete the SkiCo restaurants on the mountain. SkiCo elected to not renew Gwyn's family run restaurant's lease and will be taking over the restaurant in 2020 ski season. After this year I'll be eating at Mawa's Kitchen or the Stew Pot, etc. It is too bad they are not located on a ski run and that SkiCo elected to have a monopoly on mountain dining. read more

Very cool place to eat. Top of the elk camp gondola with great views. It was packed but people move in and out quickly. Food was excellent and priced as expected for snowmass/aspen. Must visit when you're here. read more
