However, this year my wife and I went for an evening meal on either July 6 or 7 (forget which one) and had the opposite experience. The waitress serving us had some difficulty. We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer to start. The appetizer came out from the kitchen 20 minutes later, and I asked the runner who brought it out if she could check on where our wine was. The waitress came back a few minutes later with one glass of wine (even though we had ordered a bottle). I reminded her that we had ordered a bottle, and 10 minutes later we finally got our bottle of wine. It was a chilled white wine, and she did not bring an ice bucket to keep the wine chilled. In the meantime, my dinner salad and my appetizer arrived all at once. I mentioned I would prefer to have my salad first, then my entree later and the runner didn't understand what I said and simply walked away. My wife's meal arrived 10 minutes later. The two tables next to us were having similar issues with their orders. There didn't seem to be a manager anywhere in sight, and we hope this was simply some sort of a temporary staffing issue the night/week we were there. Here's hoping things get back up to snuff for our next visit.

With regards to the atmosphere, considering it is late December in Aspen/Snowmass, presumably one of if not the busiest time of year, when nearly all the restaurants in Aspen are fully booked, there were shockingly few customers, leading to a somewhat awkward feel. The Snowmass club itself is beautiful and luxurious but the restaurant decor is a bit lacking for character. Overall, a nice place for dinner with good food, but given the variety of other great options in Aspen at roughly the same or lower price, it would be hard to recommend as a first choice.

She came back and told us her manager said, "well it's wrong on the menu and the higher price is correct." Ummm, no, that's not how it works, so we asked to see her manager. "Vlad" the manager came and after we called him out on his shady comments, said he'd honor the menu price. Oh wow, thanks so much for honoring the menu pricing and for trying to make your nice young female server be complicit in your shady practices. Everything that they make is cooked to order. They have several breakfast packages. We booked one where we could spend up to $60 per day for 2 people. We weren't sure if the daughter's breakfast was included. At $18 for breakfast, and $5 for a cup of coffee, it was easy to reach $60. The daughter and I had our waiter well trained. He sat us down at a window table every morning and gave us coffee and juice while we waited for the wife's take out breakfast. After the wife's breakfast was done, he allowed us to go deliver the breakfast before coming back and ordering our breakfast. It is better than a typical hotel buffet because everything is cooked to order. You do have a lot more variety than a typical hotel buffet. I got their classic breakfast everyday. They cooked my over medium eggs perfectly. Even though I ordered their classic breakfast everyday, I could try different combos like ham, bacon or sausage. Daughter liked their burritos, and lollipop pancakes. Service was good. Everyone one of the employees working here are foreign students working on their hospitality degrees. They all spoke English pretty well. They came by frequently to check on us, and to fill our glasses with coffee or juice. It's a nice place for breakfast, with a great view out their window. It is way better than a hotel breakfast buffet. The daughter's breakfast was included in our stay. They started our day off right.

We got chili that had a bit of a kick, plus a half Reuben sandwich. Sister got red lentil curry soup. The restaurant also has a variety of baked goods, including some gluten free selections. There are coin lockers and a changing room for skiers arriving by car. The ski shop, Four Mountains Sports, inside this shared space will rent ski equipment and sells equipment such as helets and backpacks as well. The day we were here for lunch, a huge private party was being hosted on picnic benches out in the snow. We enjoyed the live music. Ski bum ambience with no requirement to be staggering around in ski boots. At the base of the Twin Creeks chair lift. Lots of blue runs off that lift, and you can head back to the main Snowmass Village off of that lift so it might be a nice place to ski toward the end of the day when the area will still be catching afternoon sun.
