Arriving via gondola to elk camp

Large location but filled to the max during the holiday season. Check out my before and after pictures of the eating area. I had the pizza and side of some tuna salad. Everything tastes good on the mountain. They have outdoor heated seating areas, which is a nice overflow. Connected to the Gondola which means they will be non-skiers at this location.

Amazing food and drink options! So clean and the staff was so attentive. We loved chatting with Steph the bartender. She was so sweet and gave us a fantastic experience.

This restaurant is always packed during the busy lunch hour in the winter from 12-2. Finding a table is the most challenging thing. The food is decent but I think it's a bit pricey. A lot of tourists come here for lunch, but I rather go to other restaurant in the mountain that less touristy. Sorry to give 3 stars because it's always hassle to get a table here.

This place serves outstanding food. Quick and easy for those with kids. Tuesday nights farm to table with live music. We tried the grass fed ribeye, striped bass, pizza (yes it's $13 a slice have them cut it in half perfect for 2 kids) and cherry cobbler for dessert. DIY Caesar salad station with fresh romaine hearts. Also an outdoor grill serving burgers brats and dogs. Full bars inside and outside. Lots of fun. Chef driven and the service is very well executed. No wait with kids - priceless! Pro tip: 10% off with season pass.

Real green beans! Chili for adults - has a little spice.

Great food but very crowded. The vegetarian soup was delicious snd the salad bar had fresh greens and slot of options.

We visited over Winter Break and tried Sage right after Christmas, as a family of five. We were…read moreall impressed and highly recommend visiting Sage...a great 4 star experience. Food was very good and service (Gray was our waiter) was excellent! Our favorite dishes were: Wedge Salad, Crab Cakes, Ahi Tuna Tacos, Short Ribs, and their ice cream and churros were fantastic! Atmosphere and ambiance were great...beautiful views and worth a visit!

Servers were responsive…read moreand friendly and the 4 entrees we tried were well prepared with a very nice presentation, albeit unsurprisingly expensive, considering the restaurant is located in the Snowmass Club. The Elk in particular was excellently prepared and delicious. The sides and appetizers were somewhat less impressive - the lobster risotto seemed heavy without much flavor and the arugula salad was absolutely loaded with beets, which one may not be expecting. With regards to the atmosphere, considering it is late December in Aspen/Snowmass, presumably one of if not the busiest time of year, when nearly all the restaurants in Aspen are fully booked, there were shockingly few customers, leading to a somewhat awkward feel. The Snowmass club itself is beautiful and luxurious but the restaurant decor is a bit lacking for character. Overall, a nice place for dinner with good food, but given the variety of other great options in Aspen at roughly the same or lower price, it would be hard to recommend as a first choice.

This review is for both the restaurant and the room service (which is an identical menu). I would…read moresuggest you use the room service option. If you are going to leave your room for dinner/lunch there are better options. Lunch/dinner: The turkey club is fantastic. The French fries are not. Substitute anything else (including the sweet potato fries which are amazing). The New England clam chowder is better than decent but not amazing. Worth ordering if you are in the mood for soup. The Caesar salad is large and flavorful. The grilled chicken addition was not as pleasant... albeit passable. The chopped salad was great... although I held the blue cheese and had the dressing on the side. Breakfast: The eggs were prepared to order correctly and properly. The turkey sausage was waaaaaaaay too dry... even at the end of the breakfast time span, meals should be prepared fresh and correctly. This definitely appeared to be turkey sausage cooked long ago and set under a heat lamp to shrivel up and desiccate. Very disappointing. Similarly the roasted potatoes were dry and over cooked... see above. The Greek yogurt was not sweeter enough for my taste. Very little honey on top. But they did provide extra honey with the jam and butter for the toast so I could add more. The berries were fresh and delicious! Overall I would recommend lunch/dinner in room service. Avoid breakfast. And if you want to leave the room; leave the resort and try something different!

Everything that they make is cooked to order. They have several breakfast packages. We booked one where we could spend up to $60 per day for 2 people. We weren't sure if the daughter's breakfast was included. At $18 for breakfast, and $5 for a cup of coffee, it was easy to reach $60. The daughter and I had our waiter well trained. He sat us down at a window table every morning and gave us coffee and juice while we waited for the wife's take out breakfast. After the wife's breakfast was done, he allowed us to go deliver the breakfast before coming back and ordering our breakfast. It is better than a typical hotel buffet because everything is cooked to order. You do have a lot more variety than a typical hotel buffet. I got their classic breakfast everyday. They cooked my over medium eggs perfectly. Even though I ordered their classic breakfast everyday, I could try different combos like ham, bacon or sausage. Daughter liked their burritos, and lollipop pancakes. Service was good. Everyone one of the employees working here are foreign students working on their hospitality degrees. They all spoke English pretty well. They came by frequently to check on us, and to fill our glasses with coffee or juice. It's a nice place for breakfast, with a great view out their window. It is way better than a hotel breakfast buffet. The daughter's breakfast was included in our stay. They started our day off right.
