Do you want to know a secret?…read more Powder 8's has some of the best food in Beaver Creek. They use the same chefs that work at the Park Hyatt and 8100 Mountainside. Do a comparison of the items here to any other restaurant in this ski resort, and you'll be shocked at how much better and cheaper it is. Beware the drink tent outside, though, as it will gouge you when it comes to alcohol, but you should probably be hydrating with water anyway. It may appear to be a simple lunch cafeteria for skiers ready to head back out to the slopes, but for those in the know, it's so much more than that.

Perfect dining hall experience. Remarkably clean. Can be a four or five star experience. Happy to…read moregive a five star review to bring up the average a bit. To read some of the reviews though, wow. More five-star resort price complainers. The sense of entitlement to getting something at a low price (almost synonymous for free) is appalling. High brow experiences, like skiing, come at a higher cost. This isn't a flatland convenience store. At any rate, certainly a fun right-off-the-slopes setting but a lot busier than Talon's or Spruce Saddle. I'll never forget the time I ran in to an iconic first name celebrity here as we compared notes about the state of society. After commiserating, the unnamed just wanted to remain unseen and unapproached. "Keep it quiet. I can't handle that right now." Like other settings, if you arrive for an early lunch you can beat the lines. Don't forget your cookie along the piazza on your way out.
