Dining at Vetri Cucina (56th floor of the Palms) isn't just dinner, it's a moment. You're floating above the Strip, glass of wine in hand, and suddenly the food matches the view. We started with the bread service and charcuterie board -- rustic, generous, and loaded with house-baked breads, silky prosciutto, spicy salumi, marcona almonds, and briny olives. Honestly, I could've made a meal out of that alone. Then came the legend: Swiss Chard Gnocchi. These little green pillows don't look like much until they melt on your tongue like butter disguised as pasta. Swimming in brown butter sauce, dusted with cheese -- they're pure heaven. The seafood salad with lobster, scallops, and shrimp was bright, smoky, and kissed with lemon -- the kind of dish that feels indulgent but still fresh. For mains, we shared the pork chop with peaches, cherries, basil, and pine nuts -- a sweet-savory knockout -- and the steak with maitake mushrooms that hit every carnivore note: juicy, tender, simple, but deeply satisfying. By the time dessert rolled around (yes, we saved room), we understood the hype: Vetri isn't just cooking Italian food -- they're composing love letters to it. The Vibe Elegant but not stuffy. Service was warm, attentive, and knew the menu inside out. And the view? Unreal

House bread (free) - 3.5 stars. A nice focaccia and sourdough. Wed dinner 2024-11-27

Vetri certainly has beautiful views (and we paid $50 to have guaranteed window seats). For the price point, not quite worth the quality of food. High 3 stars overall. Reservations were easy to make online for the Wednesday night before Thanksgiving. We had a couple amazing drinks/dishes, but for what we paid ($293 before tips for 3 drinks, 1 starter, 1 antipasti, 1 pasta, and a secondi for two, 1 dessert, 1 capu) it wasn't a consistently good enough meal for me to justify coming back. Our server was friendly, quite talkative, and explained the dishes/drinks very well. There's definitely a story behind every dish and a lot of in-house work (the house ground flour for the bread, the butter they culture themselves, the manhattan being poured down brown butter to make the Brown Butter Manhattan, probably lots more I can't remember). * Blood Orange Spritz ($18) - 3.5 stars. Simple, not too sweet. Good if you want something refreshing, but I was hoping for something more interesting. * L'Aviano ($20) - 5 stars. Excellent mezcal drink. Tastes like lemon & caramel. Even for someone like me who doesn't like strong drinks, I enjoyed this one. * Brown Butter Manhattan ($20) - 3.5 stars. * House bread (free) - 3.5 stars. A nice focaccia and sourdough. * Foie Gras Pastrami ($34) - 3.5 stars. I found the foie to be way too smooth (I like the grittier texture), the bread a little dry. My partner loved the smooth texture and the bread. * Burrata ($19) - 3 stars. The burrata was soft & tasty, but the arugula limp and dressing boring. The chip was pretty sharply flavored. * Zozzona ($34) - 3.5 stars. * Salted Baked Branzino ($100) - 4 stars. Heavenly soft with wonderful flavors. Brussel sprouts a little soggy, especially for the cost. * Pistachio cake ($18) - 3.5 stars. Good, but my expectations were set a little too high for how much our server raved about this. A little too sweet, and the outer layer of cake (which is separate from the gooey filling - vs being part of a continuous batter) was a bit dry. * Free chocolate - 4.5 stars. Lovely hard outer shell, tasty soft salted caramel inside.

Perfectly seared steak with a perfectly executed Béarnaise sauce. The charred leek was a bit under.

Vetri has been on our list after Iron Chef Michael Simon personally recommended it to me. It's on the 56th floor of Palms with what is probably the most spectacular view of the strip possible. We turned a four course restaurant week dinner into an eight course by sharing the two options The approach is what I would call northern Italian simplicity. Perfectly prepare outstanding ingredients and let them shine. The starting dish of yellowtail and scallop crudo with shaved fennel, lemon, capers and olive oil is a perfect example. The room and service take a similar approach, understated elegance. The courses for restaurant week are downsized, but that worked really well for us as we tend to share an entree at most restaurants. In a place wholly committed to bigger and flashier is better, this place is like a breath of fresh air. Outstanding food and a quiet elegance make it the perfect date night choice.

What a gem! Amazing view at the top of the Palms, wonderful service and food to die for. I highly recommend this restaurant. Surprisingly affordable for a strip restaurant, and quality of food. Oysters - I've had oysters on both coasts and these are in the top 3 for sure. The mignonette they are topped with is so balanced and fresh. The waitress said the chef had been thinking about changing them - I hope they don't! Pea and ricotta ravioli with preserved lemon - took a gamble on this as I love ricotta and ravioli but don't always love peas. This dish may have changed my mind on peas! The ravioli is obviously freshly made pasta and the preserved lemon was such a nice balance. Crab cannelloni with salmon roe - My boyfriend ordered this and loved it, I tried it and the crab was melt in your mouth good and sweet, the salmon roe fresh and the sauce was buttery goodness. Chocolate cheesecake and lemon gelato - this cheesecake had some of the best texture I've ever had. The caramel sauce was perfectly salty, and a great addition. Lemon gelato was smooth and a nice balance to the richness of chocolate.

    Champagne toast on the house.

We got married at Palms, in part because we wanted to eat at Vetri Cucina after. We are from Philly, so we wanted a touch of home on our wedding night, as we're in Vegas without family or friends (just us). I might be a little biased given the Philly connection, but it was legitimately a Top 3 meal either of us have had in our entire lives. We started with the Beef Carpaccio. We had the Wagyu beef tartare at CraftSteak at MGM the night before and it was spectacular. The first bite of Vetri's beef carpaccio was on another level entirely. Foie Gras Pastrami... I think after one bite I may have said out loud, "this doesn't actually exist. This isn't food." It was that good. You get 4 pieces on toast to share. I'll spare the details of other dishes and just list them. They were ALL incredible. Not one dish that was just "okay." Lomo Cotto with Asian Pear, Mushrooms and Hazelnuts. Mint Pappardelle with Morel Ragu Pea and Ricotta Doppio Ravioli with Preserved Lemon. All exceeded expectations, especially the pasta dishes. Wagyu Zabuton with polenta was great, and I had to eat most of it b/c she was so full. NOT COMPLAINING. The kicker? It is $62. Try finding a Wagyu steak for that price on the Strip. We ended the night with a Pistachio lava cake with raspberry that made her say out loud "why do people make this out of chocolate???" Oh, and the view?!?!? It's the best view of the Strip you can possibly imagine. Truly a perfect meal to cap an incredible night. Please go, not only to support a great Philly chef who has done wonderful things for our local community back home, but because the words/photos here cannot do justice how good this meal was.

What a beautiful restaurant with such a great view! First time here and we had such a nice time with our family. Our food server was very attentive too , she was very nice. The food was wonderful , the drinks were also very tasty. A great time!

Came with a group of 9 for a fun dinner with girlfriends at 5:30 on a Wednesday. The restaurant itself is very nice and you has great views of the strip! Our server was friendly and explained the menu and offered suggestions. We ordered lots of different appetizers and our entrees and a few desserts to share. We all enjoyed our meals, the beef cheek being one of the favorites. Our cocktails and wine were also good and the cappuccinos were perfect to end the night. I'd recommend this for a nice night out or celebration!

What a beautiful view! Never had a chance to really hang out at the Palms til recently. Got to try Vetri on a partial comp. The place was beautiful. 56th floor and had a fantastic view of the strip and all the lights. Wow. What a nice Pluto take a first date. You could not ask for better service. Very attendant my glass of water never went empty (I drink a lot of water). The bad. You can easily leave hungry. The food was tasty but the portions are horribly small..... I mean tiny. My wife wanted to make sure I emphasized, "the portions are really small" Would I come back? Hell Yes, it was comped. Would come back if I had to pay full price. Nope no way. It didn't taste that good.

Vetri Cucina is a super high quality upscale Italian Restaurant by restauranteur and award wining cookbook author Chef Mark Vetri. This restaurant is located on the 56TH floor of the Palms Casino and Resort with breath-taking views of Las Vegas. This is an expensive restaurant. You go here for a special occasion or a splurge night. The tables are set with very crisp well ironed linen, heavy silverware, and handmade water glasses. They have a regular a la carte menu and they also offer $99. per person Pre Theater Menu that we tried that can be a great sampling of many dishes that are on the menu. Whatever you choose they start you off with amazing delicious bread and house churned butter. We tried the sweet onion crepe, the blue fin tuna crudo, almond tortellini, beef cheek agnolotti, roasted goat, wood roasted black cod, house made ice cream and sorbet. Everything was perfection and service was impeccable.

We have now visited Vetri twice, and overall it remains a disappointing experience. TL:DR - Exceptionally high prices, exceptionally small portions (as many other reviewers have noted). I will say that on our most recent visit our server Brittani was excellent. Friendly, attentive, and highly knowledgeable about the menu. We were seated promptly at our reservation time, but we were not offered a table by the window. There were several available which remained available the entire three hours we were in the restaurant. I'm not sure how one obtains one of these seemingly elusive yet available window tables. One of our party wanted to try the tasting menu, but we were advised this was not allowed unless the whole table participated. So, we ordered a la carte. I had the spritz lemonata cocktail which was refreshing and strong. I then had the grilled cotechino (Italian pork sausage) appetizer. This was tasty, and the sausage had the winter spice flavor that our server told us to expect. I had the roasted turbot entree. I had never had this fish before, and I found it sweet and slightly flaky. It was served atop a tasty and crispy potato galette, and it had a pleasant green garlic sauce. Take a look at the photo, however, and you'll note the fish is barely visible. The portion of the fish was unbelievably tiny. I am not exaggerating when I say it was perhaps four small bites worth of fish for $50+. For dessert I had the pistachio cake. Tasty and with a warm and moist center (but again unbelievably tiny). Italian food should satisfy both the soul and the stomach, and unfortunately Vetri's cuisine did neither. I am not joking at all when I say we had to stop on the way home and grab a quick snack elsewhere because we remained hungry. This is the first time in my life I've spent $200+ on a dinner and left hungry. For a comparable price (that I will gladly pay over and over) we have had exceptional Italian meals at Carbone (in the Aria) and have left completely satisfied in all respects. I must say that Carbone blows Vetri away in all areas (except perhaps lacking Vetri's stunning view from the 56th floor).

What a beautiful restaurant and a beautiful view of the city. Riley was exceptional and very knowledgeable of the menu & was very accommodating to us. We will definitely be back!

Ventri is located in the Palms Casino Hotel on the 56th Floor. A few things that are great about this restaurant are the easy parking and quick and easy access to the restaurant. TIP: Request a seat alongside the windows for a panoramic strip or city view. Keep in mind that it is not guaranteed. Service is always great here. First visit, Karis was our server. 2nd visit, Alexandra. Both were awesome, but Karis was a little spunky. Food: * 24 Months Prosciutto di Parma * Bluefin Tuna Crudo with Blood Orange Vinaigrette * Almond Tortellini * Spinach Gnocchi * Grilled Wagyu Bavette * Grilled Heritage Pork Collar * Burrata di Puglia The servings are small, BUT the flavors are delicious. My least favorite would be the complimentary bread and pork collar. The burrata was soooo good. It had pesto on the bottom, and the different beans worked so well together. The prosciutto was the best. The bread was the best. It's dense and so satisfying. (I love bread.) The Almond Tortellini was equally as delcious. So rich and buttery. Overall, I'd definitely return. I just wouldn't order the pork anymore.

    Pistachio Flan! So good!

Does Vetri still off it's happy hour at the bar?

Hello Sara, yes they do, they have adjusted summer hours. Aperitivo Hour is Tuesday - Saturday from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the bar. Please be advised that hours may adjust based on the season.

Can I just sit at the bar for a couple of drinks and a view?

I don't see why they wouldn't allow it, I've heard of some restaurants to be snooty about things like that but I found the staff to be professional and friendly! They have quite an extensive wine list so I'd imagine they'd want more people to drink… Read more

No Italian food anywhere this good since Felix Trattoria in LA opened with the glassed in humidified Nonna Room where Chef Evan wielded his chitarra and made Sausage Tortellini with his sausage fingers. Felix was the Italian version of the glass Dumpling cage at Din Tai Fung where the 18 year olds made 18 folds all Din Tai day. Many Italian Restaurants use store bought Pasta. It's an acceptable Chef cheat. Some even go to the trouble to buy Bronze Dye Extruded dry Pasta as it pits the Pasta to help absorb Sauce. Here, the Pasta is all made by hand. (Renta Nonna?) All hands on deck and on the Rigatoni. There is a discernable difference especially when the fresh handmade Pasta is cooked quickly to keep it as toothsome as Ferraro's does it. The Decor: Rich, warm, welcoming, earthy and understated elegant. So, no warehouse close out of Majolica Pottery. The Hostess will greet you as if you were really someone she'd like to sit next to at Thanksgiving. This place is located off The Strip in a Strip Mall and thankfully no street stripper cajoling you to take a photo with her/him for a ten-spot. The Bar: As full as a Bar can get with some of most anything you can order to go with anything you can pick from the ambitious menu, and the wine list is heroic. Overwhelmed by the signature Cocktails I finally picked a Drunken Strawberry with a little push from Ivana the wonderful Server who cared for me like the first night with an adopted pound puppy. My drink had Porter's Tropical Old Tom Style Gin, Chamberryzette (Strawberry Aperitif), Aperol, and Fabbri Fregola (Strawberries in Syrup). It leaned sweet, and two more would have had me leaning in the street. Within minutes Fabio the "Bread Boy" offered a tray of complimentary warm Rustic Rolls which were favuloso along with rectangles of Foccacia. The House made Tapenade was meraviglioso. The Staff: Ivana was as warm as the beautiful Rustic Rolls. She was charming and genuinely concerned about every detail to insure that all her guests enjoyed everything they selected from the huge menu. And they all did. Who's here? Locals, regulars, expats all dreaming of what they ate every Sunday at their Nonna's kitchen table. Of course there were a few turisti who ventured off The Strip which rivals Bourbon St. and Times Square for being a rip. You'd have to know this wonderful place is here and now you do. The Food: It is simply not possible to make a mistake or bad choice here. The food is exceptional. The Ravioli with a chunk of Beef Cheek inside was brilliant. This could've been a main course. The Arancini Cacio e Pepe was the size of a Rawlings Baseball only much easier to chew. It's a Black Pepper and Pecorino-Romano Cheese Rice Ball breaded and fried then topped with a Truffle Cream Sauce laced with flecked and bits of Black Truffle. (Ask for a side of Crestor). While crisp is America's favorite flavor, apparently, it's Italy's too. Crunchy and creamy these were beyond delicious. Finally, the third appetizer took a bow. Crudo di Coda Ricciola (thin slices of Yellowtail), with Fennel, Hazelnuts, Capers, Calabrese Chili Oil and a drizzle of White Balsamic Vinegar. This was more than just fish. It's more than you could wish for, capeesh? My Caesar was good enough to hail. Creamy, Garlicy Dressing with just a hint of Anchovy and Toasted Bread Crumbs replacing soggy Croutons. Lovely. The Lobster Aragosta (like saying Shrimp Scampi), was pried out of it's shell (like a debutant at her first dance) tableside with the expertise of a trauma surgeon. The Pasta was perfect, nice and spicy, and coiled attractively with a fork in a ladle and more than enough for four hungry Construction Workers. Lobster in unskilled hands is often bouncy and rubbery. Not this one, it was tender, slightly transluscent, sightly briny and half buried in the Fresh Pomodoro Sauce. I ate way more of this delicious Pasta than I had any right or ability to. It was addictive with one bite. So, yes it was worth the 4 plus hour schelp from LA to get here. Ferraro's is the Ferrari of Italian Cuisine (a bitaly of Italy for sure) and might just be the true home of home made Italian food in the Country...any Country.

The food was delicious and dessert was a hit as well. The dining area indoor and out was nice. Allen was our server but a bit too comfortable and overwhelmed. We were informed that bread with EVOO would be brought to the table but unaware of the limitations. Like seriously, we received two choices and the option of 1 piece and the bread was whisked away. We asked for more bread and our beverages. I would truly like to visit another day at happy hour.

That just doesn't happen that often, so wife and I came - minds and mouths BLOWN AWAY! Cute place WAAY off the Strip but in a strip mall. (reservations needed) PEOPLE: Albino and Erma are the best, with their son also taking care of you. You literally sit five feet from Albino (pic) as he whips out THE BEST ITALIAN CUISINE IN VEGAS! (no caveats) FOOD: Los Olivos salad, sinful bread, super-light calamari, 'made-to-order'(?) lasagana, the lamb (pic), and a shrimp scampi that *stunned* my very culinarily experienced spouse are not to be missed‼ Besides my insane same-day-flights visit, Shar and I also did a w/e in LAS and ate here *both nights*!! Completely diff but fabulous meals. Like I said, believe that gives my review creds - trust me :D p.s. Almost forgot: bring your fav bottle of vino - no corkage

The restaurant is much larger than meets the eye and we were seated in the small back room with the additional bar. There were quite a few tables open. Service was attentive and professional. We ordered a bottle of wine which they kept chilled and always made sure to refill our glasses as needed. I was a huge fan of the complimentary starters and to be honest I think they were my favorite part of the meal. A member of the staff comes to your table to serve a chunk of parmesan cheese cut right off the block. You also receive a bowl of pickled cauliflower, a beautifully presented salami rose plate, and a basket of 3 types of fresh bread. Our waiter informed us that everything was served family style and meant to be shared, so I found it interesting that they split our order of Spicy Rigatoni Vodka for us. It's one of their most well-known dishes and we really enjoyed it. The Octopus Pizzaiolo was delicious, especially with the inclusion of the crispy potatoes. The thick piece of fish on the Salmon Oreganata was beautiful but the salmon itself lacked a bit of seasoning. They bring around a dessert cart but we opted out as nothing caught our eye and we were pretty full. They brought out a small birthday dessert with a candle, which was delicious and always appreciated.

Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst fine dining experiences we've had in Las Vegas and we eat out ALOT to numerous fine dining spots off and on strip. Our 9:15 PM reservation wasn't seated until 9:35. Water took over 15 minutes to arrive, and it was another 30-45 minutes before our waiter, Deon, even took our order after I asked him "who our waiter was". Ironically, both $350 bottles of wine arrived within minutes, but our food didn't. About 45 minutes after ordering, we were told one of our entrees had sold out. By the time our meals finally arrived around 11:30 PM, my husband had already spoken to the manager because waiting nearly two hours for entrees at a restaurant of this caliber is simply unacceptable. To make matters worse, my order was completely misunderstood. I asked for the restaurant's best chicken pasta recommendation and was served an odd combination that didn't go together at all (2 separate dishes NOT a pasta with chicken) Fine dining is about the entire experience, not just expensive wine. The food itself was underwhelming, but the service and apparent lack of management were the biggest disappointments. As Las Vegas locals who dine at high-end restaurants regularly, this was easily one of the most disappointing dining experiences we've had.

We had reservations at 5pm so it wasn't busy yet. The dining was very nicely furnished. They have about the same amount of seating on the patio as in the dining room with a bar and high top tables in the middle. I asked if the White Truffle Garlic Bread could be made gluten free. I was so happy to hear that they can. I felt like I had died and gone to cheesy heaven.before I developed my wheat allergy I ordered garlic bread anywhere it was in the menu. It's one of my favorite foods. So when I say theirs is quite possibly the best I've ever had in my life, it means something. We ordered family style for the entrees. We ordered the Bolognese Pappardelle, Strozzapreti, Ricotta Cavatelli( subbed gf pasta), Chicken Scarpariello and Short Rib Lumache. They were all absolutely delicious. Dessert did not disappoint either. We ordered the Brookie sundae and the Tiramisu. I couldn't have the Tiramisu but I was told that it was great. The Brookie sundae was a fun dessert. It came with vanilla, pistachio and chocolate gelato, whip and some sort of cake on the bottom. I didn't go all the way down because of my stupid allergy again. The gelatos were all good. It came with a side dish with strawberries and nuts and little chocolate balls. I can't wait to go back again. Next time I'll tell the rest of the table to get their own garlic bread so I don't have to share mine. I'll have dreams about that bread. So heavenly!!!!

Out of everything we ordered, my favorites were the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Chicken Pesto, and the Pepperoni Pizza with Hot Honey. The Chicken Pesto was a little more lemony than I expected, but I would still order it again because it was very good. The Spicy Rigatoni Vodka had the perfect amount of spice not too spicy, but enough to give it great flavor. The Strozzapreti and White Truffle Garlic Bread were not my personal favorites, but my family really enjoyed both of them. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were great, and I would definitely come back.
