I had a nice experience. The atmosphere was really beautiful and I enjoyed my food. It was a little expensive, but on par with other nearby places. The food came out quickly, and while not life changing, it hit the spot after a long day. The only pain point was the service. What a great deal! Not only is Alex outstanding at her job, but the way she orchestrated the entire experience was unforgettable. As locals, the strip can be a nuisance but the palazzo is a different place. I took advantage of the easy parking of the palazzo side and parked on P2 which led me straight to the elevator tugging me a straight shot to lavo. The venue is beautiful and the dj was playing vibes. The bottomless mimosas came with three Juices for us to add as much as we wanted to our bubbly. The food was so good I mean oysters salmón crudo the pancakes the pizza but best of all the veal ragout. I can't wait to go back. Visited LAVO Las Vegas with a group of 7 on a Monday night. Service: We had reservations, but the experience started off poorly. The host was very rude, which honestly set a negative tone right away and almost made us want to cancel. Thankfully, once we were seated, our waitress was nice and helpful throughout the meal, which helped improve the overall experience. Complimentary bread was provided for the table, but it wasn't anything special. Food: The burrata appetizer was delicious, and I especially enjoyed the eggplant that came with it. The burrata and arugula pizza was my personal favorite of the night. The penne pasta was also good. The tomahawk steak was decent and fun with the tableside garnish presentation. The seabass was just okay and didn't stand out. Unfortunately, the mushroom and shaved truffle pizza was not good at all -- we didn't realize until we took it home that the bottom of the pizza was completely burnt. Ambiance: The ambiance felt very typical Vegas -- dark lighting and loud music, which can be fun for a group dinner. However, we were seated in the back room away from everyone else, which felt a bit odd. The back room didn't have the same energy and wasn't as nice as the main dining area. Today was our first day in Las Vegas so after my friend Mat and I were done walking through the strip, we stopped at this resort, which is the palazzo and we decided to stop at the restaurant Lavo for dinner. After talking to the hostess I asked her if she had a dairy free noodle and a gluten-free noodle and they have both options available at this restaurant. For dinner this evening I decided to get the spaghetti with olive oil and marinara which is a dairy and an egg free noodle and my friend Mat decided to get the margarita pizza with a gluten-free crust we haven't gotten food yet, but we did get a complementary seasonal veggie platter from the shop and I did get my drink, which is the Velvet Petal. The ambience and decor reminds me of something really casual and upscale at the same time. The decor of the brick walls and lanterns, the flowing curtains, and the ambience lighting, makes the restaurant very romantic along with the fresh herbs and greenery. There is a lovely gentleman who came over with a tray of fresh, fruit, grapefruit, lime, lemon, and watermelon for our waters, and he placed the lemon slices from the tongs into our glasses. There is also another lovely lady who I believe is our server she brought me my cocktail. Her name is Brittney and she's outstanding. Made reservations for Lavo for a Wednesday evening and glad we did. There were multiple conventions in town and a line out the door of people hoping to get in. Once we checked in, our table was ready on time. A lovely lady in an amazing black dress seated us. They have a nice bar area, and a couple different seating areas. Generally the restaurant is lowly lighted, but somehow we ended up at a table with better lighting than many other tables - so we were very happy. They have limited Pepsi products - no Mountain Dew. Their specialty cocktails on menu can all be done as adult or nonalcoholic. They do have complimentary bread and vegetables. Their Fritto Misto was cooked perfectly. We of course had to get "The Meat Ball" - their monster 1 pound meatball. The Jumbo Shrimp Scampi was a healthy serving of 8 pieces and was prepared perfectly! The Reginette Seafood Alfredo has both sweet scallops and shrimp. I got it with a lobster tail - which was okay, but I would've been fine without the tail. The Alfred sauce was somehow a lighter preparation and not a heavy Alfredo. We ended the night with a Tiramisu, NY style Cheesecake and some sorbet. 2/5 Stars I really wanted to like LAVO Italian Restaurant, but unfortunately this was a major miss. We dined here nearly 10 months ago before a Backstreet Boys concert at the Sphere. I was hosting a client and was out with three girlfriends -- all of us dressed in white (as one does for BSB). The restaurant wasn't crowded, so we were expecting a smooth, easy dinner before the show, especially given the convenient location inside The Venetian Resort. Fast forward to this weekend, when I was in Vegas for No Doubt concert and dined at Carbone. That experience was so fantastic it completely triggered how bad LAVO was -- hence why I'm finally writing this review. Back to LAVO... Our server came to take drink orders and we tried to place food orders right away. We asked for very simple things: * A side of broccoli * An extra plate so we could split a chicken parmesan * A substitution of red sauce for Alfredo (we were wearing white...) * Or even just pasta with sauce on the side Every single request was denied. The response we repeatedly got was, "The chef doesn't do substitutions." No flexibility. No attempt to accommodate. No effort whatsoever. None of our requests were outrageous -- we weren't asking for a custom tasting menu -- just basic, reasonable dining accommodations. It felt unnecessarily rigid and honestly unwelcoming. To make matters worse, the food itself was underwhelming at best. I'd rate it a 2/10. In a city like Las Vegas, where incredible dining options are everywhere, this was a huge disappointment. It's especially frustrating that a resort like the Venetian has such a mediocre Italian restaurant. For comparison, Carbone was a 10/10, and I'd also highly recommend Scarpetta. Yes, you'll need to grab a taxi or rideshare if you're heading to the Sphere afterward, but it's well worth the extra few minutes. If you're seeing a show at the Sphere, do yourself a favor and skip LAVO. Don't waste your time or money here when Vegas has so many far better options nearby. read more

Five stars all the way for Lavo. From start to finish, everything was spot on! Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and provided quality recommendations. I offered the LAVO-Lini cocktail per her recommendation and it was exactly as described: fruity, bright, and refreshing. We started with the garlic bread paired with basil pesto, marinara, and gorgonzola dolce. A simple starter, but done exceptionally well. For my main, I had the Brick Oven Salmon Oreganato and it was perfectly cooked with a flavorful garlic butter. One of the best salmon dishes I've had in a while! I went for a birthday brunch at the Party Brunch on a Saturday, and it was definitely an experience. The patio has a $500 minimum, but you get a bar and a nice view of the Strip. Inside is a whole different vibe with a $1,000 minimum and up, a bigger DJ setup, and dancers who change into these super elaborate costumes throughout the afternoon. The menu is on the pricier side, so hitting the minimum really isn't hard. We tried the wagyu sliders, avocado croissant, calamari, shrimp cocktail and the benedict very good food. This is the kind of place where sharing with the table is the way to go so you can taste a little bit of everything. My random favorite part? The rainfall faucets in the bathroom. Seriously the coolest thing I've ever seen. FREE 3 hour parking for locals. Brunch opens inside at 1PM. Ladies get a free drink wristband until 2PM. LAVO is truly a dinner place for all occasions. Once we were sat, our waitress didn't really come to us. We thought, maybe she is by herself and there was a bit of a dinner time rush. We noticed she was at least providing bread and waters to other tables. We got her attention and asked her if we too could start with bread and water and she told us they were all out of the bread... but can bring us water. She was gone for another 10 minutes. We then placed our order for food and drinks. We decided to share a little bit of everything, and honestly, the food quality was solid. Truly did not have any complaints and the portions were big. Just finished an amazing brunch at Lavo inside the Palazzo. We had a reservation for 10am when they opened and was seated as soon as we checked in. The decor is beautiful and relaxing. Service was outstanding. Our server Andrew was so attentive and made great recommendations. High quality food. Did the brunch party here on a Saturday - reserved a table on the patio terrace area. The pros: DJ was awesome, weather was gorgeous, patio view is nice, and food is solid. The cons: people without table reservations on the patio were hovering over our table, crowding under our table umbrella, using our table to put down their drinks, and their personal items, uncomfortably close to our heads (I literally had someone that kept hitting the back of my chair/head), wasn't able to sit at our table comfortably bc they were blocking our chairs, no one was managing the crowd on the patio, service was slow and mediocre at best, we had to ask for several things throughout the meal, however the servers are very nice (the most helpful server was Jeffrey). Our pitchers were brought out without any cups, food we ordered were never brought to us, etc. We finally complained about the crowd being in our personal space and our server addressed it immediately which we really appreciated. The bathroom line gets long, it was faster to go to the hotel lobby and come back in than wait on the bathroom line. We enjoyed ourselves bc we were a group of friends, but for the price, we expected the service to be sharper, the food we ordered to actually arrive, and the patio to be managed better for the guests that paid $$$$ for a table. read more

I did a group dinner here recently and in the end, it went very well. When I got there, I found out our group of 20 was in the main dining room even though I had work with the sales manager (who was now on maternity leave) to be put on the outside patio. update for winter DAYCLUB experience. Here I am, back after over 10 years since my first review and now I'm of age with the crowds now. There was a wide range of ages spanning from 21 year olds to mostly mid to late 30's as a median and some sparring 50+ year olds, and everyone was having a lot of fun Indoor they slowly transition it into a dark night club. go go girls dancing and the lights slowly start dimming and the fog machines and strobe lights start going as you get deeper into the afternoon. Unfortunately the bar is super crowded and hard to get a drink at and the tables for brunch extend well into what used to be the dance floor in front of the bar. The upstairs is closed off now, however you can go outside for fresh air and sun and the DJ Cable was playing the crowd with Bay Area, SoCal, cultural and California hits. It was a whole good vibe, fun dancing. It was an invigorating experience. I did not have the food, though it all look large and aesthetically pleasing. I visited LAVO for the first time by accident a few years ago. We were looking for a place to eat and they were one of the only restaurants open at that time with seating available. We got complimentary bread and butter to start and it was so delicious, but the star of the show for me was the spaghetti and meatballs. I'm not one to order this type of dish at all, but when I saw the meatballs were made with wagyu I needed to try it. It was the most delicious spaghetti and meatballs I had ever tried. It was so flavorful, the meatballs melted in your mouth, and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I have been sitting on trying this pasta dish again so last night, I came back to Vegas and visited Lavo again. They gave us complimentary bread sticks and marinara, and it was so delicious, the bread was so crispy it was perfectly combined with the marinara sauce. They also brought out what I believe to be Giardiniera as a complimentary antipasti as well. I ordered my spaghetti and meatballs, which tasted just as I had it those years ago. Excellent. We went to celebrate a friend's birthday and our waiter kindly brought out a slice of cake for her birthday, complimentary as well! Let me say that our waiter was SO amazing. I wish I had gotten their name but he was so attentive to when we finished our antipasto, when to bring the mains and what utensils we needed, and was checking in on how we were doing and refilling our water. He was so great. The inside of the LAVO is also so beautifully decorated by the way! Worth checking out as I didn't get to take a photo! Lavo is truly a place to visit. I had high hopes for LAVO brunch, but this experience was a major letdown. Our reservation was at 12:15 PM, and we arrived early at 12:07--only to wait nearly an hour to be seated. Once we finally got to our table, we didn't even receive the complimentary bread and fruit until after our first round of food had already come out. We ordered the truffle fries and they were cold and undercooked. When we told our server (a man), he weirdly blamed it on having to "go through a wind tunnel"--which made no sense because everything was cold. Then a manager came by and tried to make a joke about it, saying, "He should've gone through the warm tunnel instead." ...Okay? We gave them another chance and ordered the fries again--and they somehow came out colder than before. At that point, we just gave up. For how expensive this brunch is, it's definitely not worth the price or quality. The only things we actually enjoyed were the Caesar salad, the raspberry croissant, and the meatball--but of course, the meatball isn't even included in the all-you-can-eat option. Wouldn't return. Soo we've been seeing their endless brunch ads and decided why not, bonus we had friends in town so it was a nice group brunch. One thing when booking, if you were looking for the more lively brunch, that is Saturday and Sunday is more regular Sunday brunch. Just to keep in mind, as we weren't sure if it was going to be a "Sunday Funday extravaganza" or a normal Sunday brunch. Either way, we were not disappointed. We checked and were quickly seated. The decor is giving Mediterranean seaside vibes, we all commented about how nice it was. The dangerous part: so it's endless brunch with a few "upgrades" such as added caviar and steaks and you can order as much as you'd like. Obviously the upgrades sounded amazing so we went with that, but the portions are full size portions! So make sure you come hungry haha. We had the bottomless mimosas / bloody's as well. Needless to say we left there stuffed to the gills! Food was delightful! 10/10: The mushroom pizza- garlic truffle oil drizzled ontop of a perfectly crispy thin crust pizza. OMG I could have ate 2-3 of them haha Other standouts- the steak and truffle fries. Adding caviar to any and everything, cause absolutely yes if it's an option. With the prices they charge, I was expecting to be wowed and nothing wowed me. We ordered the garlic bread with all the sauces. They were okay, the white alfredo sauce was probably the best, but even then, it wasn't noteworthy. I wouldn't order it again. We decided to try the meatball because everyone raves about the meatball. Again, it was fine. I definitely think it is extremely overhyped. I certainly wouldn't order it again given the cost. Chicken parmigiana is my favorite thing to order at an Italian restaurant. When I ordered, I was asked if I'd like a side of pasta with it. I should've known it would be an upcharge. It was $9 I think for small side of spaghetti. I don't know what it was about it, but I didn't like the noodles at all. I barely touched them. Now, my husband's salmon was fantastic. I don't even LIKE salmon. I don't eat any type of seafood. I've tried it before and just don't enjoy it at all. If I liked it, I could only imagine what a salmon lover would think. It was so well seasoned and flavorful. The presentation is not pretty, but the taste fully makes up for it. I might come back and try Lavo for brunch one day as I've seen a lot of good reviews on it, but then again, I saw good reviews for dinner too and it clearly just wasn't for me. The bill was very painful given the quality of the meal. There's a long list of places we'd rather go to eat for what they're charging. read more

Dinner at LAVO located at The Palazzo in Las Vegas was a wonderful dining experience to celebrate my son and niece's birthdays! The ambiance was quite the buzz in an ultra chic setting. The dinner menu offers your classic Italian options such as pizza and pasta with tasty cocktails. Customer service was excellent by Cristian, our server, and the rest of the team - thank you all! I opted for the vodka cocktail: Silk Road. Velvety, crisp, & fresh. Hints of lemon and pineapple and topped off with an egg white foam made it light and airy. But my son's mezcal drink was probably my favorite: Hot & Bothered. It was topped off with white chocolate for the sweet and spicy notes! Our party of five enjoyed the complimentary Foccacia along with the Black Truffle Pizza, Caesar Della Casa, and Fritto Misto for starters. Our plates left nothing behind and were whisked away in preparation for our entrees. While we waited for our Carbonara, Seafood fra Diavolo, Meatball, Brussell Sprouts and Truffle Fries, we couldn't help to stare at the neighboring table. They ordered the 48oz Tomahawk served tableside, which was quite the show! Meanwhile, our pasta dishes were your average Italian choices and our party was content. Pasta and sauces are made in-house. The star of the night was the Affogato dessert! The presentation was definitely social media worthy. Our table shared it, so it went pretty quick. But a couple bites of the coffee and ice cream were just what we needed to end the night on a great note! Would definitely recommend for a fun and flavorful dinner! Good service, beautiful location (except it was very dark), but the food was all very subpar minus the pizza. Chicken meatball appetizer treated fresh. Ordered chicken parm with a side of noodles but the noodles came out 10 min late by that time chicken was cold. The noodles didn't taste homemade, more like out of a cardboard box. read more

The menu and interior decor has. Web updated since we last dined here. The theme is now floral Italian, very beautiful. The cuisine is the same Italian themed. I'm happy they kept the famous meatball and garlic bread (Must Try appetizers)! The variety of cocktail spritzes are impressive and very tasty. Located downstairs in Palazzo is a little joint called Lavo that does a great brunch, and I'm sure other meals as well. The inside is beautifully decorated, though a big group like ours had some difficulty fitting. They made it happen though. Service was amazing. From our main server (The Filipino cat!) to his helpers (homie with the glasses who reminded me of Sketch, he could pour water 3 feet behind without missing) they handled everything amazingly. Thank you for amazing service. Your service alone is 5 stars. Food was OK. The oysters were the best part, however we were only able to secure one round. We were able to substitute something, but it definitely wasn't the amazing oysters. If we had AYCE oysters, this is a 4-5 star experience. The tartar and the deviled eggs were the highlights. The bacon was amazing. But that's because I love bacon...and it was cooked to perfection. The smoke Salmon pizza, although not a pizza, was beautifully done. I'd probably call it a smoked salmon flat bread though. Other than that, everything else was just OK. It was a little slow coming out, but we attributed that to how crowded it was. We kind of wish the order was switched up a little to have the breakfast food come out first, but I'm sure LAVO has their reasoning. Bottomless Mimosas/Bloody Marys for an extra charge. We chose LAVO for our Thanksgiving dinner because we used to live in Singapore, where LAVO was one of our absolute favorite spots. Unfortunately, the Las Vegas location didn't live up to the experience we were hoping for. The restaurant was very dark, making it hard to enjoy the ambiance or even see the food well. We were also seated in an inconvenient spot where people constantly brushed past and bumped into my seat. The visit started off on the wrong foot when the receptionist assumed my husband had the lowest rewards tier and told him he could "just give his card to the server," which isn't even true. It felt careless and unprofessional. Our server, to be fair, was warm, friendly, and attentive--probably the best part of the evening. However, when my son asked for au jus for his filet mignon (which wasn't great), the server offered peppercorn sauce instead and never mentioned there would be an extra charge. Seeing a $3 fee on the bill wasn't about the amount--it was the principle and lack of transparency. The food overall was good, but still not worth the high prices... though maybe that's just the Strip reality. With the combination of poor seating, extremely dim lighting, missteps at reception, and undisclosed charges, the experience simply didn't match the LAVO standard we knew and loved in Singapore. read more

Food: Party of six. Three said food was cold when it came out (8 oz Wagyu Skirt Steak, Eggplant Parmigiano, and Spaghetti and Meatballs). Three said food came out perfect (Lamb Chops, Spaghetti Tomato and Basil, and Chicken Parmigiana). Consensus of the group is that the food was good. Menu said the beet salad included oranges. However, my beet salad did not have oranges. We all enjoyed the 20 layer chocolate cake. It was tall and imposing. The table behind us was even in awe when it arrived at our table so kudos on presentation! Service: We were all unimpressed with the service. We don't know if it was inexperience or indifference. Water refills were sparse and very untimely. Soda and lemonade refills were sparse and untimely. Our coffee person said he was just ignored and gave up. He was never asked if he wanted a refill. I read that purchases at Lavos counted towards Venetian rewards points. The review said to ask staff to swipe card or get the receipt and go to the rewards desk. When I asked the waitress if they took the rewards card, she simply said they were Tao and didn't participate in the rewards program. I was waiting for her to tell me to take my receipt to the rewards desk to get points (because what she probably meant to say was they didn't swipe the card); that information never came. The waitress left the impression that money spent at Lavo did not count towards Venetian rewards points. I can't believe the staff doesn't know that Venetian Rewards accepts receipts from Lavo...so again, was it inexperience or indifference. I suspect indifference, but who knows? Finally, in the U.S.'s 2025, stellar first-rate customer service world, this restaurant is like some others that won't split checks at the customer's request. Three checks was apparently too much work. Remind me what the 18%, 20%, and 22% suggested gratuity is for again. Is it for taking the order, cooking the food, bringing the food? In-and-Out and McDonald's does that. Or is it for the quality and excellence of service and going a very little tad bit beyond the basics. In an honest, neutral world, I'd say no tip was warranted, but I could not do that and left the standard 20% (plus it was Christmas). I'll end on a positive. I do think the prices for what we ordered were fair. Not too high, not too low for The Strip. Give the place a try. read more

LAVO has a beautiful, modern atmosphere and the staff was friendly and attentive from the start. I ordered the beef carpaccio, which came with truffles. It had good flavor, but the bitter greens on top threw it off for me, and the carpaccio itself felt a bit dry. For my main dish, I had the chicken marsala. The portion was generous and it tasted good, although I've had better versions elsewhere. Our server suggested getting a side of pasta to go with the sauce, but I passed. Someone at our table did order it, and it showed up as plain buttered pasta for $15. Not exactly worth the upgrade, especially since it's not listed on the menu. For dessert, I tried the cheesecake and the affogato. The cheesecake was solid, nothing over the top, but enjoyable. The affogato had a great presentation and was fun to end the meal with. Overall, the experience was nice. The space is clean, upscale, and has that Vegas strip vibe. The food was decent, not amazing, and the prices are on the higher side for what you get but that's expected given the location. My wife really enjoyed the night, and the service stood out, so that helped balance things out. I don't regret going, though I'd probably try different menu items if I returned. read more

We were served by Sigi when we went here for brunch. He was VERY attentive and without hesitation, brought us all of the best dishes available! We didn't have to order a thing, he just kept the good times coming! He gave detailed descriptions of each dish when serving them and kept our drinks full!
