I am the daughter of the bride at a recent wedding held at the Elks Lodge in San Gabriel. It was not just a wedding with an extremely large wedding party, but many family members coming together in celebration of wedding nuptials. In light of all the chaos taking place in our world at this time, we felt safe and secure. It was nice and refreshing with lots of hugs, joy , peace and laughter. We met and spoke with Diana on several occasions prior to the event who made us feel safe. She was very welcoming, professional and I was able to feel and see the huge changes, that had been made in the past 5-7 years prior. I give this place 5 stars thanks to Diana's professionalism. We celebrated my mom's 85th birthday with over 100 guests. The Elk had plenty of room for our guests, and ample parking. They provided the tables, chairs, and linens. Diane is the manager. Had my daughter's Quinceañera here last month and overall had a great experience. PROS: Diane was very knowledgable and helpful - she really meant it when she said, "Call me anytime if you have questions," because I had a lot of questions and she was consistently pleasant and super helpful every time I called. The dance floor is HUGE - so perfect for a Quince! Able to bring outside catering so we could stay within out budget. Air conditioning worked. It has wifi. They have a giant screen for video montage. Sound system was great. There is a disco ball, a light system, and lights hanging from the ceiling so dance ready. We had about 114 people all comfortable and all had great views of the dances. CONS: We had hoped to decorate the day before but there was an event scheduled so we had to do all the decorations the morning of our event (on a positive, Diane did get there as early as possible so that we could decorate). Make sure you know when the deadline is to order linens because they get them from an outside vendor. I fortunately went in to finalize it just before the deadline (I got lucky since I didn't know there was a deadline to do it), however, I forgot to order the chair covers and then it was too late. Our overall experience was a positive one. Everyone had fun, my daughter was super happy, and we would consider having another event here. read more

My husband and I had our daughters Quinceanera at the elks lodge this past weekend (April 9th, 2022) everything turned out amazing. Diane was very accommodating and helpful every step of the way. We went over linen, layout of all the tables, and she explained everything that was permitted and not permitted. Our visit to this Elks Lodge was associated with the Howlin' Fall Market event held last Friday evening in their parking lot. Normally, the onsite parking lot accommodates about 43 vehicles, plus handicap spaces. You can also find street parking on E. Las Tunas Dr. There's a lounge with a full bar and the drink prices were very reasonable. The bar crowd was fun, well behaved, and the service was very good. The men's/women's indoor restrooms were clean and well stocked. The rest of the lodge's facilities were closed for the evening market, but I saw online that they have a ballroom/banquet space available for many types of events. On October 16 I had my daughter's sweet 16 at the Alhambra Elks Lodge I paid over $2000 dollars for the event and I know their bar made thousands of dollars because my family and friends are drinkers it was beautiful Diane, Mary Jane, Ray, and John we're all very kind and helpful for my event I was unable to take everything home that evening because I had to contact all my vendors. One of my vendors showed up Sunday to pick up their property and the other vendors couldn't get there till Monday my wife and I also went down there to make sure they removed all their property. When we got there there was a RUDE lady there who was very rude to us, we were trying to get our property and she was telling us in a very rude way to get our stuff out . I understand they were going to have an event the next day I just don't think she had to be so rude. I found out her name was Mary Garcia and that she was the ER she should be setting an example for your lodge especially for families that are spending lots of money. We could've had a event somewhere else but we loved the hall and the way Diane treated us .It's just a shame that you have such a rude person who is supposedly a leader in your Lodge. The SG/Alhambra Elks Lodge was a perfect venue for our RHS class reunion. The large room is spacious with tables surrounding the large dance floor . There are clean well attended restrooms. There's a stage and a full bar available and they also supply non alcoholic beverages and table linens for a reasonable fee. Catering can be brought in. Manager Diane met with us to plan the desired room design and any other needs ahead of time. Staff were available and helpful throughout the evening. Nice ceiling decorations and adjustable lighting set a nice ambiance for the fun time we had. We would recommend SG Alhambra Elks. read more

I reached out to Elks Lodge to plan a surprise birthday party for my terminally ill father. His birthday was during Thanksgiving weekend and the staff could not be more accommodating. Diane was so easy to work with; she sat down with me, explained all the charges to me, asked what needed to be done, made time for me to come in and decorate as long as I needed, and served as an amazing and fun bartender. My dad is a member of Elks Lodge and the party was less than a hundred people, so I only paid about $1,250 + linens. I had an open bar for the guests and Diane did an amazing job serving everyone while making sure the event ran smoothly. We had a DJ, catering, and a photo booth, and Diane helped with set up ideas, getting us enough tables, making sure there were outlets, etc. I'm definitely indecisive and do not plan parties often. Diane so graciously and patiently put up with me and my millions of questions and last-minute changes. Forever thankful to Diane and Elk's Lodge for helping celebrate my dad after such a tough year. First off, me and my family made the best of my moms 90th Birthday. I don't know if it was the heat, or the hormones, but the people here made it difficult to plan our celebration. Mannerism out the window, no air conditioning we had a decorate in 105° no air circulation, we had to bring our own. One nice little lady brought us a small fan, which just circulated the hot air over and over again. I cannot give any names of the unprofessional staff i will just sat the whole staff, including the security guy. The older gentleman who rotated the water for us was on it. He was, about the only one who was nice. Everyone else treated us like if we didn't belong there. Of course they kept our deposit, they started looking very hard for any excuse to keep our deposit. I'm talking about nitpick everything. So disappointed, I feel so embarrassed with our guest and family One more thing if you plan on making a party here, they don't tell you in the beginning that there is absolutely no kind of liquids allowed. I had my wedding here this past Saturday October 9,2021. I have been very stressed but I was working with Diane the whole time, and she reassured me in every conversation everything has been taken care of.. Well the Elks didn't disappoint. Half my wedding party love how she (Diane) handled the bar, very professional and kept everyone happy. The place itself was big enough there was enough space. And dance floor was perfect. Extra rude and crooked people running this place. Amazon lady came in and hounded me for tips after their extra large cup was filled twice with tip money from guests. One bartender enjoys screaming at kids but very polite when an adult confronted him. The folk who run this place are money hungry chumps which charge you for everything possible and look for excuses to keep your deposit. Look around for other places to hold your event, I would never go back or recommend a friend to attend anything there. Security guards are the only solid human beings around with any respect and common sense. Beware of the amazon lady which gives you the grand tour, then hits you with all the extra charges. This is the best Elks Lodge in the San Gabriel Valley. Monthly big parties including live music and dancing. Dinner Doggie Boxes available for purchase, but just bring your own tupperware, there is lots of food. Linda's music really inspires the crowd to dance. Theme parties such as Octoberfest Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines Day all have first class decorations. Raffles 50/50 for cash and prizes each time I've been there. Other Elks Lodges in this area do not have big social events, but the leaders in this group go the extra mile and then some. Membership is about $275/year, plus donations to the charities is encouraged. People who want to participate in the workings of the lodge, events and building or kitchen is welcomed for those who want to become an active member.
