It's so great having other bar options instead of driving to Los Angeles to drink nowadays. This is such an amazing spot for girls night out and for people who just want to sit by the bar to order drinks all night. Ambiance is super warm, the service and bartenders are amazing as well. I can honestly say this is one of the best bars in the 626.. Aesthetically pleasing and the drinks are actually made well. They don't use that shitty sweet and sour mix, a lot of syrups are made in house, they have a nice selection of spirits and the overall speakeasy vibes are immaculate. If I could come here every weekend I would! It's a nice spot to bring your girl after dinner or if you're on a date.

I love that parking is very very easy and FREE, they share the parking lot with Outback. Walk through the nail salon, and the real bar is hidden behind the door to the back. The decor in this place is breathtaking! We went on a Friday and there was a live DJ, music was spot on. The bartenders were super friendly and chatty, super fun to just hangout with. Most importantly, the drinks are sooooo yummy! My favorite was a white tea cocktail, forget the name but we ordered it over and over again. Definitely will come back for more drinks on and off menu.

This is the go to spot in the 626. They're brand new and just recently had their grand opening a few weeks ago. Such a cute & classy speakeasy lounge in Arcadia. I love that there's FINALLY a place in the area where I can dress up and go out for drinks with my girls, or get bottle service without overpriced minimums. The hand-crafted cocktails are so unique and delicious! My favorite is the lychee martini and the She so fine (spicy tequila grapefruit cocktail). I even like the dark liquor cocktails and I don't like dark liquor lol. Music is on point--hip hop & r&b and the DJ actually takes your requests unlike most. The music isn't blasting like a club so you can actually hear each other but it's loud enough where I've seen people dance. The place is huge, there's a front and a back of the lounge with lots of seating. There's security in the front and reservations are recommended since this place is more lowkey. So glad that I can come here knowing that there won't be sloppy drunkies!

My cousin and I went after dinner and decided what the heck let's live. We really went in not knowing what to expect and ended up having a great time and meet amazing people. The bartender is a 70 year old man who walks like he can't possibly make any drinks but he certainly can and boy are they strong. So beware. The live band is amazing. It is small place but most of the men there are gentlemen and will offer you their seat. It was a great time. So if you go just be prepared, this is not your usual fancy lounge or bar.

Fun, social crowd with regulars that we met and openly welcomed us. I believe that I heard that there's live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. On street parking, or a small lot in the back, off the alley. Hours: 6:00am - 12:00am (next day), Fri-Sat 6:00am - 2:00am (next day). DRINKS, but NO FOOD: A couple Bloody Mary's (two with horseradish, one regular) which were well made. We also tried an Old Fashioned, an Espresso Martini, a Modelo Especial, and a Michelob Ultra. One round was picked up by regular patron but talk about reasonable prices. Our whole tab was only $28. I couldn't believe it. They don't serve food, but you're welcome to bring in whatever you'd like. Claro's Italian Market is across the street, and we heard that many regulars pick up something there and bring it over. Thanks Apple, Paul, Ozzy, and Christy for making our visit a memorable one. If you haven't been here before, definitely worth stopping in.

The restaurant was kind of empty during our visit today; however, it is a small place -- and it was kind of nice. Every other time I have passed it (usually in the evening) it is packed. So, it was nice to be quiet today. Our service was friendly. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, which is a huge sandwich and it was delicious. It was not really spicy; however, I know -- for the masses. It was still absolutely delicious though. I did upgrade my salad to the side Cesar salad and it also was delicious. Overall, it was a nice win for lunch today. I even was able to wrap up half of my sandwich to bring home later. Dessert -- not this time -- but I'll be back!

This last visit was frustrating enough that we won't be rushing back. We came in just before 6:00 PM with a babysitter and a limited window. The restaurant wasn't busy, maybe five tables, but service was completely off. Our entrée took about 45 minutes. It was comped, but no one acknowledged the delay. No apology, no explanation, nothing. We also got the wrong side (fries instead of onion rings), and while it was corrected quickly, it added to the overall feeling that no one was really paying attention. The bigger issue was how absent the service felt. Our server never came back for a second round of drinks, and I had to go to the bar myself. When I mentioned it, the response was basically that the server was busy with another table, which felt dismissive given how long we had already been waiting. No one was busy. By the time food arrived, it was around 6:45 PM. The problem wasn't just the wait, it was the lack of communication or basic hospitality the entire time. I actually emailed the restaurant directly after our visit and never heard back, which is disappointing and honestly says a lot. At this point, it's hard not to feel like they just don't really care about the customer experience or about keeping people coming back. It's a shame, because the place has potential, but right now it doesn't feel like it's being taken seriously.

I've been going to them more and more, and The Lucky Tiki was one I definitely had to try out. First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. Was the perfect spot for a lively date night!

So after having a reservation for weeks, I get a text from this place saying someone booked a private event so my reservation is cancelled. How about instead of accepting $$$ for a private event that will deny customers their reservation, they make the private event work around what is available? Terrible way of doing business, but I hope they get lots of $$$ and engagement for the privileged private event attendees.

A little sweeter than I personally prefer, but the spice balanced it out nicely and kept me going back for more. I ordered the Black Angus Bassin Burger, and that was my favorite part. It came on a soft brioche bun with caramelized onions, arugula, special sauce, and I added bacon. The burger patty itself tasted high quality, juicy, and flavorful. Everything worked together really well. The onion rings were beer battered and seriously delicious. Golden, crunchy, crispy, and packed with flavor. The fries were also fresh and really good.

Mind you, this was in downtown Monrovia and I'm in Montebello, so it was about a 24-minute drive. We got there around 11:10pm and they closed at midnight on a Monday night. Parking was easy since it's in a strip center in downtown Monrovia, but I'm assuming that's because it was late. Not sure how parking is during the day. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. It was a cool little spot with quite a few customers still inside, which was a good sign. The guy helping us was super nice and attentive. We ordered the Corn Cheese, Garlic Chili Chicken, Mussel Soup, fries, and two sides of steamed rice. The fries were crispy and really good. The corn cheese was delicious, I'd probably add spice to it next time. The garlic chicken was very flavorful. The mussel soup had a very strong ocean taste and could've used just a little more seasoning, but I think that's just the style of the soup since it's more of a light broth. Overall though, everything else was great, good food, good vibe, and great service.
