UPDATED: This business is lucky that Yelp doesn't allow you to leave zero stars, because it's what I'd like to rate them after a totally insane response from the owner basically saying I didn't wait long enough for the Botox to kick in. I may have only waited 10 days between the second and third visit (which the third visit should not have even been necessary, but whatever) but I still had no results from the third visit! Here is a timeline of my visits: June 24 July 19 (25 DAYS, OVER TWO WEEKS) minimal results from first appointment - tons of movement in my face that I specifically requested to address July 29 (10 DAYS) zero results from second appointment (and zero results from this visit too) This review was written August 18, which is plenty of time for the neuromodulator to kick in after that experience (20 days). Regardless, as I type this update on October 3, I can tell you I did not experience ANY results from that third visit. I refused to put myself through another expensive visit with no results, so I didn't go back for a fourth visit. So I am still sticking by my original review. I've attached photos to confirm the timeline. Instead of believing patients who have had a poor experience, this place chooses to act like we are all idiots because we want something we paid for with a skilled injector who knows what they're doing. There is literally NO reason for me to have NO results between three appointments, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I had FULL movement in my forehead. The owner said Breanna likes to give patients a "natural look" which I guess means you're still going to have heavy movement which will lead to more wrinkles and spending more money at this place for all touch ups. I have never experienced this anywhere else and being upcharged for what's either diluted product or an unskilled injector is crazy. Plus all the other places also charge by the unit too, and I have basically never been charged for a touch up. I will be telling EVERYONE not to visit this place. I just recently started coming to Ella Esthetics and so far I've had such a positive experience! After my longtime esthetician moved on from the spa I used to go to, I decided to take a little break and just stick with my at home skincare treatments. But as I get older, the more I realize that the investment I make in my skincare is way more effective if I also incorporate additional treatments that can stimulate my collagen and improve my overall skin health in long term. With my previous esthetician (not at Ella) I would often do DMK Enzyme treatments which helped so much with the hormonal acne I was experiencing during and after COVID. However, I didn't try too many other treatments because we were focused on overall skin health and mostly just paired it with at home skin care based on my estheticians' guidance. However, I had been following Ella for years and figured this would be a good time to give the business a try since they have an expansive menu of offerings. I've now been to Ella 3x, under the care of D'Auna. She is lovely, knowledgeable and I knew I was in good hands with her after my first visit. In addition to a few light peels, I also recently had my first hydrafacial (which I'm obsessed with now!) I also experienced microneedling for the first time and plan on exploring that as well in the future since results for that are a bit more cumulative over time. But even after a few appointments, my skin has responded really well to these new treatments and I can tell a noticeable different in my overall texture and quality in terms of how smooth and hydrated it feels. It's also been helpful with any hyperpigmentation that has lingered. One thing I also appreciate is how D'Auna is so open to working with my schedule and needs. On my past visit, instead of a light peel I told her I had a bunch of events, presentations and work travel coming up so didn't want to have the look of dry skin that is sometimes a bit obvious the week after a light peel. So instead, she recommended the hydrafacial and now I'm wondering how often I should think about getting it again because I loved it! The business seems to be run in a professional manner all-around and I definitely feel a sense of ease when I arrive knowing I'll be in good hands. I had heard good things about Ella Esthetics and had considered switching my Botox here over the years and considered getting my eyebrows done here. I came for a consultation in 2023 but decided I wasn't ready to do it yet. In December 2025, I get a charge on my card for $750 from them for a no show. I immediately call and ask what's going on and they claimed I made an appointment on my portal. I search my email and texts and the only contact I have from this company is back from 2023. I tell them that and they tell me that's because I turned off appointment reminders. What? Why would I do that? It makes no sense. So basically they charged me $750 completely erroneously and refuse to acknowledge that or budge on the charge. read more

I came to this business after getting a frozen forehead 3 times at another establishment. I watched their social media for a year to make sure I wanted to give them a chance. I first got a facial - it was perfect, not overpriced, relaxing, and I had glowing skin. I then got a laser facial and microneedling. Then I decided to get Botox. Well, I didn't think if your provider made a mistake. They won't be liable for it. I had a fillers with Breanna. I noticed right away that there's something wrong with the fillers she injected under my eye. I thought it was just swollen and it will disappear after few days or 1 week. 2 weeks later, I returned to this clinic to address my concerns. Breanna said leave it for 3 weeks or 1 month to see the final result and let the skin absorbs the fillers. If it didn't settle and the bulky stays on my under eye she will be happy to remove it. I listened. Unfortunately, after 2 months and weeks nothing has change. I returned to the clinic. I was shocked when they asked me to pay 650$ just to fix their mistakes.! Which is unacceptable. I have been coming to see Angela Williams (owner of Ella Esthetics) since she was first in her Arlington location so about 4 years now. Her work as a microblading artist is truly amazing. I've done both traditional microblading, combo brows, and more recently just did the ombre brows. The ombre is definitely stronger and I was hella freaked out at first but I always trust her in any process. In addition to microblading, I also have a membership for facials and the device membership. I know, it's so much lol, but Ella has such great prices how I can even turn it down. I usually see Angela for my facials but I have also seen Joy and Bree. The really like their laser hair removal services but right now I'm doing em sculpt for device membership. If you ever wanted to know does em sculpt work or a place near Arlington/Alexadria, hit up Ella. The em sculpt on da butt slaps!! For injections, I see Breanna. I love her!!! She's such a sweet and amazing woman. Recently, I had to dissolve some filler from another injector and we did some PDO lip threads and filler. It is perfect! I also do Dysport and she's found a way to inject flawlessly. She's also up to date on training and knows the latest techniques and what fillers work and don't. Juvederm is so two thousand and late so i'm thrilled so find an injector who knows the latest! Julie is absolutely amazing at lash extensions and lash fills. She's also mastered the keratin lash lift (which I do more often because my beauty budget is bursting). I love that pop the eyelashes give me! There is free/validated underground parking. The staff are all vaccinated and they do the normal "covid protocols" but honestly they did all that before the pandemic so not even concerned. I just got lip injections for the first time today and even though I was super nervous going into it I had an amazing experience here! I was seen by Breanna who was so nice, listened to my concerns and requests, and was extremely knowledgeable. She explained every step of the way what she was doing and why (which made me feel super calm and in safe hands) and cheered me on through the whole procedure. We didn't use a full syringe bc she got me to where I asked to be with a little less than one and wanted me to check it out before just adding any unnecessary filler - and I LOVED my results so I'm glad she did! GIIIIIIIRL (or Duuuude), stop wiffling and waffling and get your sexy butt to Ella's ASAP! I get it, it's always terrifying going to a sap. Are they gonna mangle my face? Am I gonna get charged a billion dollars to look like low-rent Real Housewives? Isn't Botox basically anthrax? Well, I'm here to explain it all. To start with, I'm super critical of everything - I even quiz my fucking primary care physician on the Krebs Cycle before I let him even take my blood pressure. So the fact that I trust the practitioners at Ella means that they've been vetted. They won't throw some essential oils on your face and tell you that your acne will go away (which, no lie, I had one spa do to me). All the practitioners here constantly take classes and I believe that most (if not all) have some kind of legit medical background. So the treatment you're getting will be based on science. Additionally, they are extremely good about not pushing products on you (during your treatment they will recommend stuff, but if you say no, they don't bring it up again, and they don't do anything to make you feel pressured into buying or adding anything on). I'm getting old (my love of a good HH probably doesn't do skin any favors) but my monthly facial plus quarterly Aquagold treatment keeps my face fresh like I just sold my soul to the devil. I know I won't ever look 22 again, and the staff at Ella doesn't pretend that I ever will again. But they will do what they can to help make my skin tone and skin texture as filter perfect as they can. read more

I am speaking about my experience regarding lip fillers with Sorelle. I paid for 2 syringes (3 syringes were used due to a BOGO special back in October) that was split between my tear troughs and lips. My issues are with my lips. 1. I asked for more volume on the sides of my lips and was told that I would need more volume in the center. I agreed and while there was swelling, it seemed to subside. I went in to add more filler to the sides, as I felt that the sides were still not where I wanted them to be at all. I paid for another syringe, even though I think had more filler been simply added to my sides of my lips, it would have sufficed. 2. This is where things went wrong. I noticed that after the second attempt, there was a lump on the right side that was pretty noticeable especially when not smiling. I was in constant communication with Sorelle. She told me to come back and we added more filler to the other side and on the side of the lump to even out the lips. Additionally, a lip flip was added to help moving the sides of my lips outwards. I came out of this session pretty swollen. And it took about 5 full weeks for most of the swelling to subside. However my issue was that!!! Now the lump was on the other side and I could feel lumps on both sides...I was pretty frustrated because I missed my old lips. 3. Returned to Sorelle (as I had been in constant communication and was understanding that lumps can happen). However, when finishing the third syringe, I noticed a lot of focus was being placed in the center of my lips. Even though all I had really wanted from the beginning was more volume on the sides. I walked away from this session so utterly swollen for about 1 whole month and about 5 months later, my lips look worse than ever. I contacted Sorelle, and was told that I would need to get my lip filler dissolved and refilled (which I would have to pay for). I thought this was extremely unfair because I had a feeling the filler had been MISPLACED and overfilled in certain areas. When talking to a plastic surgeon in the Northern Virginia area, I was told that it looks as if the filler had been overfilled in the center of my lips and in a way that was rushed because of the lumps that had formed on both sides of my lips. I also have persistent "puncture wound" looking marks on my lips due to the numerous injection spots on my lips. When talking to Angela, she at first offered a refund, but then went back on her word and offered to dissolve the filler for free, which...why would I go back to the establishment to dissolve my filler when I feel as though they had messed up. When asking for a refund, it was refused completely, saying that this is how things happen. I was also told that asking other professionals for their opinion won't render an unbiased response and was told not to ask others. This was extremely strange, and I'd like to argue that asking other professionals for additional opinions is the key to healthcare. Not every person knows what they are doing/is doing the right thing. I am pretty disappointed with my whole experience, as I feel like i truly hate the way my lips look. I miss my old lips and I would be SO VERY careful with this establishment when looking at fillers, and I would recommend just looking at other places/other nurse practitioners/plastic surgeons. The solution isn't always adding more filler, and I did not feel like what I went in for (ADDING MORE FILLER TO THE SIDES of my lips) was ever ADDRESSED whatsoever. Getting filler I paid for dissolved because of a mistake THEY made is absolutely unfair. I attached photos of what my poor lips look like now to urge you guys to look elsewhere. I started going to Angela in 2019 for microblading. When I was younger I split my eyebrow open and had to get 18 stitches, the hair never grew back in the middle. Angela takes such special care in mapping your face, making sure you like everything (you will!) and focusing on each stroke. I wanted to have my eyebrows microbladed for a long time but had seen so many botched jobs that I thought I'd never do it. I knew the look I wanted, but hadn't seen anyone with that look. Before the consultation I started following Ella Esthetics on Instagram to see the work Angela had done and was impressed with what I saw. She had pictures of the before/during/after process of microblading so one would know what to expect. I found that super helpful and liked the transparency. During my consultation I was clear that I wanted a natural look, nothing too dramatic or that stood out that I had microblading done. Based on our conversation Angela recommended going with the combo. The process was painless and relatively quick. I was given clear expectations of the healing process and how to take care of my eyebrows over the next few weeks. You're required to have a follow up appointment within 6-8 weeks. Due to Covid and everything shutting down I ended up coming in at about the 12 week mark. I was worried waiting that long would mess up my eyebrows, but it didn't because Angela is so good at what she does. I am now months out from my first visit and I love my eyebrows! People comment on how nice my eyebrows are and are shocked when I tell them they're microbladed. Angela is a smart, well educated woman. Ask her about her college degree-you'll be impressed with her majors. This is something she has a passion for and it shows. She is running a great business. I am older (60ish), so I was concerned that my skin might be too loose to accept the beautiful work that I had seen on younger women. But I went for it anyway, and you would not believe the results! I just had my first appointment with Ashley Carmen for injectables and I had to immediately jump on here. I've had injectables done for the past 9 years, at a variety of locations. I have had them done by plastic surgeons; dermatologists--in very high end and fancy spaces, in more basic spaces. I can say that I have never had the sort of initial appointment experience as I did with Ashley--she is AMAZING. From her breadth of knowledge, to her pleasant demeanor. I was blown away. We went well over the scheduled service time, and she presented realistic options. She was never once pushy, and after we had spoken for a bit, she pointed out things she had noticed through the conversation. Never once has an injector done this. At one point, I looked at her and said, you may be one of the smartest people I know (as he went into a very detailed explanation of alleviating pain caused by grinding--it's not all about looks!) .
