What an amazing experience. I typically go to Triple Tree Center on Bellaire which has a great atmosphere, but I wanted to try somewhere new that is close to home. I called and made an appointment for two people an hour ahead of time and when i showed up I was extremely pleased with the staff and the atmosphere. I was greeted right away with a big smile and then escorted back to my private area. I decided to go for the 30 minute foot massage and 30 minute body massage for $40 and I would not do it any other way. The pressure and attention to detail was incredible. This was the best massage I have ever received and needless to say I will be going back on a regular basis. read more

I usually go to another place but a friend recommended this one closer to home. I'm so glad I took a chance. The atmosphere was Zen. There were bamboo dividers between tables, trickling water, soft lighting and relaxing music. Jimmy was GREAT! He used the perfect amount of pressure and often asked if the pressure was okay. 50 minutes was $30- a little more than what I usually pay. Wow! So, I've only had a couple foot massages in my life, but this absolutely blew them away. Great prices, great atmosphere. I felt like I was floating! For the second time in a row I paid for a 60 minute foot massage and was given a 50 minute massage. When I confronted them yet again that they were short on time they pretended not to understand Me. They looked at their little sheet then they looked at the clock, then they looked at the sheet, and then they said no you you were here an hour. Yes, we had been in the store an hour however the by the time they started massaging our feet 10 minutes had passed. So the service itself ended up only being 50 minutes. Even though I confirmed the start time with the therapist before he even commenced he pretended not to understand my problem. I so rarely write reviews but I think this awesome hidden little gem in our 'hood deserves it. It may not look like much, but this girl is a massage snob and I've never seen a splendid experience for such a value like this before. They are : clean, professional, well-priced, private, and the particular masseuse I've had (dare I mention his name!?) delivers the perfect pressure (I like deep and he gives the perfect blend of pressure point, deep tissue where needed and overall relaxing yet energizing). I went in for the head and foot massage, and I loved it. The head massage was especially therapeutic. They have a great ambient feel throughout the parlor which makes it especially authentic. I though it was funny that they had an instrumental version of "Somewhere Beyond the Sea" on repeat the whole time, but my overall experience was great. The pressure of their massage was perfect. My first time at a place like this, ever. It was wonderful, the staff was so courteous, and the environment was very relaxing. I had been standing in my kitchen working on cakes all night long, I'd say about 15-17 hrs straight. My feet hurt so bad I could barely walk without wanting to cry after deliveries. I decided to check this place out, and BOOM, after the 30 min foot massage/30 min body massage combo (ONLY 40 bux), I got up, placed my shoes on, stood up.......drum roll please.......NO pain. Wow. Usually i just ask them for lighter pressure or what it is I want and they try to be very accommodating! They cant read your mind so just communicate what you want! I've lived in Oak Forest for the past few years and have been eye-balling Ella Foot Spa for quite some time. I was a Massage Envy member up until few months ago when I decided it was time to give my over-priced membership the boot. Ever since then I have to admit I have been missing my massages, so I decided to make use of my day off work and treat myself with a foot/back massage at Ella Foot Spa. I called this morning shortly after 10am to set up an appointment. The man who answered the phone did not identify himself or mention anything about Ella Foot Spa so I was initially thinking I had the wrong number, but he confirmed I had the right place. I told him I wanted to come around 1pm for a foot/back massage and he said ok! When I went in for my appointment I was pleased with the atmosphere. It was dark, quiet and calming, and I was greeted by a nice lady who checked me in and took me back for my massage right away. I was situated quickly and had my feet placed in a bucket of very warm water before laying back to enjoy an hour of pure heaven! The man who did my massage was EXCELLENT. The pressure was perfect, and he asked me several times to make sure it was to my liking. While I was laying down he massaged my face/head, neck, shoulders, back, legs and feet. I am glad I wore a loose fitting t-shirt and some stretchy yoga capris. I recommend dressing similarly if you have never been before. When he completed my "foot" massage (which is really the equivalent of a full body massage), he asked me if I wanted shoulders or lower back next. I opted for shoulders, and he took me to a massage chair to finish up. I then got a ~10 minute shoulder/back massage that was equally wonderful. In the future I may choose lower back just so I can stay put and don't need to move during my massage. Regardless, the experience in the massage chair was equally impressive. My massage guy had me fill out a quick survey and he asked me how I heard about them. I told him I lived in the hood, and also that I saw lots of good reviews on Facebook and online. He seemed really pleased to hear that. My 60 minute foot/back massage cost $30 which I feel is really reasonable, especially for what you get. I definitely plan on going back in the future and I hope others do as well. I am not sure how much business these folks get but I hope they stick around for a long time! read more

I enjoy Ella Foot Spa frequently and have for over a year. 90% of the massages are excellent. very infrequently do i experience a less-than-great massage. The only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars is that some of the therapists smoke and the smell permeates their hands so that when they are working on my upper body, i smell the smoke. i like strong pressure on my tight shoulders and some of the guys can really get in and work on those muscles! They do work to be great and I choose them over the other massage place on the corner because I know that I will get what I came for, a relaxing massage with the pressure i ask in a clean and safe environment. read more

First we had to pay before the service (weird), it was cold and noisy (there was some uncomfortable yelling between reflexologists in outdoor voices besides the credit card machine beeping constantly), and my foot reflexologist (a middle aged man) made a couple of comments that made me incredibly uncomfortable. I've been wanting to try this place for a while. My husband and I went for a foot massage and foot scrub. The place was very quiet with dim lighting. They were very detailed with the massages, but the manner in which they soak your feet should be revised. Whatever they have to soak the feet in isn't very big and the way it tilts as you lay back causes the edge of the "basket" to press against the back of your legs. This is very uncomfortable. Next time, I will request a towel be placed on the edge to protect my legs. I wouldn't get the foot scrub afterwards either. It was very uncomfortable following the massage. And I want to warn the ladies, a neck and shoulders massage accompanies the foot massage. Parts of your face are massaged as well. I was ok with this but if I was going somewhere afterwards I would've been bothered about my makeup being smudged! Lol. Seriously though, I plan to come back and try another massage...with some adjustments. read more

I have had many massages over the years, but this is my first reflexology experience. You can't beat the price for the amount of time they spend with you. I chose the 50 minute foot treatment with a 25 minute back treatment and, for $40, I ended up with a full body massage. I like that it's in one room and clothes-on. I've never had a bad experience with this elsewhere, but it's nice to eliminate that awkward "I'll leave the room while you undress" portion of a massage. I was able to make an appointment day-of. The staff was very friendly and professional. My only advice is to be very quiet as you enter the building as there is no separate lobby. If you go in laughing or on your phone- everyone will hear you because it's very quiet with serene music playing. FYI! Definitely recommend. read more

Not super relaxing because I chose the intense muscle massage - but I still almost fell asleep during the foot reflexology portion.
