We have been here quite a few times. We've had good experiences and bad, and some awkward. The owner is a nice guy and tries to make everyone happy, which is appreciated. And they are involved with the community so that's also a plus. We've found that we can sometimes get a better deal and better food at other restaurants in the area. This is a good spot to hit for breakfast on the weekends. Sometimes the service is slow at breakfast, but if it's full what can you do. Not always the best experiences during dinner hour though. read more

This place is a hidden gem! The food is great and prepared by the restaurant's owners, Jeff and Azi. The service is also wonderful, the staff is always in good spirits and attentive. The prices are also very reasonable. We usually go for brunch on the weekends, and they serve dinner on Thurs and Fri nights. They have Thurs dinner club, where you get a free dinner for every six dinners you have there. Eller's is really awesome! read more

Everyone who works here seems really nice. The food is good but nothing special. We came here for brunch twice. The fried home fries are tasty, almost like crispy French fries in texture but the grilled home fries have an odd flavor to them. The ham in the eggs Benedict was pretty gristly - almost seemed like bad cuts of meat were hidden outside of view underneath the eggs/hollandaise. Good music though. read more

My husband And I came here last night on a whim. We have had breakfast many times here so thought we should try out dinner! It was fairly busy but we were seating right away in the dining area. Ordered drinks and an app and realized some of our family had just sat in the bar area..We asked if we could move all our stuff and head to the bar to sit with them and they were so accommodating! Our waitress was so great and continued to serve us even though we moved..highly recommend the pasta dishes! We got the buff. chicken and the cordon blu...both amazing and plenty leftover! Great experience for pub food dinner. I hadn't been but, purchased a promotion from Worcester Magazine for a burger and fries. Very pleasant, clean and friendly place. They were doing a half way to St. Patricks day with awesome specials so we had corned beef and cheese stuffed potatoes first. So good! Homemade with whole potatoes. The burger was a Fresh made patty and good fries. We will return, our server was great and the food was fresh, hot and delicious. I started out as a guest of this restaurant and am now a server there. This is a great place. The food is terrific, the kitchen staff is the absolute best I've ever worked with, and I've worked in a few restaurants. The owners are more than just the people who sign our paychecks. They legit care about their staff and we're treated as part of the Eller's family. Jeff and Azi do a phenomenal job from the front of the house to the back of the house. They have a way of making not only the guests feel welcome but the staff as well. I highly recommend Ellers to everyone. I am visiting friends in the area who have been showing me various local restaurants they frequent. Despite it being a little on the dark side, both staff and clientele were cheery and personable. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees, all of which were quite tasty, albeit a bit expensive for the beer bar atmosphere. I still might be tempted back by a couple unusual menu items that might be worth a try. read more

We tried Eller's for breakfast once before - on St. Patrick's Day in 2016. They were very busy - the service was off and so was the food. We attributed it to the Holiday - but we blacklisted the place anyway. It was suggested by several of my wife's friends that go there on a regular basis to try it again. So we did. It was busy and we were told that there would be a 25 minute wait. We sat down in the waiting area and we were told about 5 minutes later that our table was ready - someone can't judge wait times. We were glad we decided to wait --- at that point anyway. Our server was quick to arrive and very attentive - I asked about the corn beef hash on the menu and was told that it was homemade - but was told that it was chopped up fine - like the canned variety. I ordered it and it was absolutely canned - I don't care what anyone says. I love good homemade corn beef hash and try it whenever it's on the menu (I may just be a corn beef hash snob). I've also eaten more than my fair share of canned over the years. This was absolutely canned - down to the oh so finely chopped potatoes. Why not just tell the truth? If by some chance it is homemade: Congrats Eller's - you expertly emulated the canned variety - and if that's the case - why freaking bother??? I also ordered poached eggs - they didn't arrive with my breakfast - I had to ask for them - twice! Maybe they don't get that eggs are a big part of breakfast??? They finally arrived and were so overdone that the chalky looking yoke looked like it had exploded all over the dish. Apparently the cook didn't care - nor the waitress that served them to me. I asked her to take them back - at which point she heartily agreed that they were severely over cooked (as if she didn't already know). A place that cared about their food and customers would never have served poached eggs like that in the first place. My replacement eggs were undercooked - the egg whites were runny. Oh well. I also ordered the grilled homefries - you can order fired as well but I don't like french fries with my breakfast. The homefries were just awful. They were way over-boiled and lacked any seasoning or flavor - I couldn't eat them. My wife got an omelette and sausage - she liked her breakfast (yay for her) and thankfully was in the mood for sharing a bite or 2 with her starving husband. I should have checked the kitchen - maybe an old foe is working there and saw me arrive and exacted his/her revenge for something I did in my childhood?? I see a lot of good reviews on here for their breakfast - perhaps they're accurate - perhaps not? It may be a consistency thing - that doesn't matter to a person that ends up with a crappy meal (twice). I love going out for breakfast - but I hate when I pay for a breakfast that doesn't come anywhere close to what I could have made for myself at home. I usually have a "one and done" rule but I gave Eller's a second chance - there will never be a third. read more

Just discovered Eller's Restaurant the other day. My wife and I were Christmas shopping and very hungry. Located a few blocks west of Giguere's Gym, just over the Worcester border on the westbound side of Route 9 in Leicester's Cherry Valley area, Eller's has plenty of parking and is a casual family-style place that also had a pretty active bar area. We arrived about 6:30 p.m. and a crew was just bringing in equipment in preparation for a karaoke session that was to begin at 8 p.m. We didn't have time to stay and watch, but that sounded like fun. We were seated immediately in a booth and our waitress was very attentive throughout our meal. The waitress brought our drinks (a Killian's and a water with a lemon slice--nice large water glasses BTW) and two warm rolls with butter. There was a separate specials menu; however, I ordered fried haddock and chips off the regular menu ($10.99) with a cup of soup ($3.50) that was a special that night, a creamy tomato and basil that was delicious. My wife ordered a Greek wrap ($6.99) that came with fries, and ordered a cup of chili ($3.50) as well. I tried to eat my soup, but once my wife tasted it she had to have it so I relinquished it in exchange for her chili, and I was glad I did. The chili was delicious as well, full of roasted beef (not ground) and some red beans, but mostly meat. The chili's spice heat was medium; very good, but I could have used a touch more heat. Personal preference, of course. The cup of chili came with some cheese on top and corn chips on the plate around the cup. It made an excellent appetizer. A bowl of this chili plus a salad could easily be a meal. My wife also ordered a side of the butternut squash. Wow, this was the best butternut squash ($1.99) we had ever had and a generous portion at that. We shared the squash. It was sweet, almost dessert-like. I believe this was a special that night, but you should ask if they have it. My haddock was a large portion and perfectly breaded and fried--moist, flaky and hot. Came with the usual tartar sauce and side of coleslaw. My wife's Greek wrap was tasty as well. We were too full for dessert, and finished with coffee, which was just OK. Our bill was $37 and change. A great value. The owner, who visited us during our meal, seems to take genuine pride in the quality of his food and the service they provide. We'll definitely be going back! read more

My husband and I were at Ellers twice this week. WOW totally impressed. Wed night our server was prompt and very bubbly and friendly. The food was delicious, I had the maple walnut pork chops that were divine. The portion is good, not too much, not too little. Yesterday we went there and sat in the bar section. The bartender/waitress, Stephanie was delightful. Our food was great and we watched this girl, constantly with a smile on her face, clean tables, serve food, and take care of the customers sitting at the bar. The food was, yet again, awesome. I had the luncheon steak, my hubby, haddock with spinach, tomatoes and lightly breaded. This little place is gem in Leicester. Friends of mine go there for Sunday breakfast and rave about it. Haven't tried it yet, but definitely on the to do list. Hinting to my husband to make reservations there for mother's day. Great job to the workers and the staff. Keep up the good work!!! :) read more
