We were in the area looking to have a late 11:00 breakfast mid week. I ordered bacon and eggs, my friend had a broccoli and cheese omelette. The toast was delicious. Big chunks of grilled red potatoes. My friend noted the skins tasted like dirt was left on them. She also prefers the broccoli cooked first, chopped, and then added to the egg and cheese. Large pieces of al dente broccoli didn't seem right. I ordered poached eggs "medium" and the yoke was hard. They do pride themselves on their homemade desserts. We took 2 to go, a delicious chocolate cupcake with pudding in the middle and plenty of yummy vanilla frosting, and a sugar free blueberry pie. The server said their Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie was a best seller. Prices are average diner pricing, service with a smile, I think I'll be back but I'll try a lunch entree instead. read more

It's been awhile since we have tried Eller's. Honestly we had a few less than impressive experiences so just did not bother to return. WOW! A busy Saturday night and our visit was Perfect! From the appetizer of the day, hefty chicken soup, spinach salad served exactly as requested, to dessert and drinks......All were served hot(except the salad), as ordered, excellent presentation, tasty, and our server, Courtney, was the probably the best server we have had in a long time. She was super busy yet maintained a positive, respectful, helpful attitude and an endearing smile. There seemed to be a manager type helping out, checking tables. This was nice to see ..to me it indicates respect for his staff. Prices were very reasonable, seating was comfortable, clean, and Courtney, well it was nice to be treated with genuine friendly service and valued as a patron. Thank you Eller's. Came here for the first time last weekend for breakfast. I don't know why we haven't stopped by sooner. The eggs Benedict was great and they don't short on the hollandaise sauce. Poached eggs were perfect. But the star of the show was the potato pancakes. I will definitely come back here just to have those for breakfast. They were made perfectly and so delicious! Ample portions and pricing is great. Our waitress had us laughing and was a great personality. There was a little bit of wait when we first arrived but the time passed quickly and it was worth it. There's all kinds of breakfast options so everyone can be satisfied. This will definitely become part of our breakfast rotation. Boyfriend was happy with the food as well. The restaurant had nice decor and wasn't super loud despite the amount of people that were there. This should definitely be an option when going out to breakfast. Easter Brunch- we had an unexpected Easter Sunday free and were reading reviews for local brunches. They were all outrageously priced and the reviews were not good so we decided to call Eller's and see if they were open on Easter. They were and we found out they were offering a special brunch buffet. They had reservations for a little earlier than I'd have liked, but the fact that they had them at all was great. We were seated right by the buffet table and got a great view of how they handled it. The food was fresh, and plentiful. There was no wait for items to be refilled, and if things started to get a little dry or had been out a little while (scrambled eggs), they were removed and replenished, and the remainder were *not* scraped into the old tray - which I have seen done in other places. There was one person dedicated to monitoring the hot table at all times. The ham was excellent, the grilled potatoes were delicious. I don't know how they kept french toast crisp on a hot table, but they did. And it was really good french toast. My husband loved the roast beef and the quiche (which from our vantage point seemed to fly off the buffet... that was a favorite). There were many large parties, but they did a great job handling the crowds. The coffee cup was always filled, our plates cleared, the wait staff were friendly to everyone. Someone came to our table (I believe it was the owner) to check and see how everything was going. This is our third time here and I don't believe it will be our last. I'd been wanting to try this place for awhile. They recently renovated. I saw they were often busy which is a good since. I went with a group of five and got a table right away. Service was great. Food took awhile, but they were busy, and conversation was brisk, so it didn't feel like we waiting too long considering we ordered mostly appetizers. We ordered the shepherd's pie bites, PB&J chicken tenders (which sounded strange on the menu, but they were very tasty), nachos with chili on the side, a burger, and the pulled pork potato wedges. The only thing that didn't wow us were the nachos. They wasn't anything wrong with them at all, they just were run of the mill. The shepherd's pie bites were very good, perhaps could have been more of them and a little smaller to share for the group...but I'm betting there is a consistency issue where if they are too small, they don't have enough to them, and too big, they fall apart...they were delicious, so this was a minor quibble. The gravy on the side was decent, if on the bland side. Overall, the bites were the menu highlight. The wedges were good, but not a stand-out, and slightly too dry. I didn't try the sauce, so that could have changed the game. I like ginger ale, but not the fake bar tender's fake ginger ale...real ginger ale. I should have skipped this ginger ale, not good. Beers on tap were run of the mill mostly, would be nice to see them put additional local breweries on tap and I might have ordered one. The only other significant detractor...Styrofoam to-go containers. C'mon. In this day and age, there are so many options for compostable to-go containters...but perhaps the supply chain has forced them into it. We were overall impressed with the food, atmosphere, service, and food quality. I'm a total stickler for menu design (I'm a designer.) and while this menu is not winning any awards, it did have hierarchy I could follow (large read headers, black menu items) and it wasn't crammed too tight. That isn't to say it couldn't use an overhaul in design and writing, but it wasn't difficult to read or annoying to look at. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a solid pub experience that has a little extra too it. On service alone, they have full sails. Thanks Eller's! read more

I like this place. Have eaten breakfast here several times. Portions are good, I like the omelettes, breakfast buffet is standard fare, but solid. Nice atmosphere, good service, I'm rarely if ever disappointed in my breakfasts here. They put biscuits and gravy in the buffet the last time I went for breakfast and they were pretty damn good. Like the fried home fries much better than the grilled, but I'm a fried home fries guy (my wife does like the grilled ones). Would recommend. read more

6 of us went and had a great meal. Our orders were varied from steak to chicken to a special to seafood and even a few different appetizers and a couple deserts and everything was fantastic. Everything. Large portions of good food at decent prices. Staff was friendly, atmosphere was loud but it was very busy and we were seated in the middle of it all so that might have been why. Speaking of busy, almost a full house but nothing took longer than expected and still plenty of attention from staff as orders were taken and drinks refilled and food delivered all in a timely manner. The staff is great, and always makes you feel welcome, whether its your first time or 100th time. You have the option of sitting in the family dining or on the Bar side. Went there Saturday morning with 4 friends for breakfast. Took a while before our server took our order. She was using an Ipad,( I know a lot of places use this now, but didn't seem to get our order right), but it was only one item that wasn't correct. We had to wait for quite a while for our meal and she never came to offer more coffee, etc. After we got our meal, never came back to ask how it was, etc and again had to ask someone else for more coffee!!! If you're looking for a great place for coffee and to talk, I highly recommend Eller's. If you actually want some food, well, McDonalds is not that far and the service at the drive thru is far superior. If want to order something simple for breakfast, such as an order of eggs over with home fries and toast, with your spouse ordering blueberry pancakes, make sure you can wait about an hour. We got up and left after spending that long waiting for our order and then being ignored by our waitress. We eventually got up to leave, explained we had somewhere to be, and the coffee was no charge as a result. We were quite angry. If I had more time, I would return, sit down, order coffee and sit there for about 3-4 hours taking up a table without ordering anything else, just to prove a point. read more

I stopped here last night with my mom for dinner. I was hoping she would order some seafood which she loves. I was trying to convince her to get a big meal(she forgets what she likes to eat) but she insisted on something that was not on the menu. They accommodated her request with no questions. This place was literally an oasis for my boyfriend and I. We are up visiting from Philadelphia and struck out with restaurants in the Worcester area. We landed on Eller's and are so happy we did. The host lead us to our table and let us know that Courtney would be taking care of us. Courtney was attentive, friendly and made our experience very welcoming. The food came out hot and fast and the sausage puffs were DELICIOUS!! Normally going out to eat involves me "working the floor" as my boyfriend calls it since I'm a floor manager at another restaurant. Eller's was different. Everything ran like clock work on a Friday afternoon and I was able to just relax which is rare. I can only review for breakfast as I have only been there for breakfast!! It's an easy commute to Eller's as it's right on Route 9 and great parking. I've been a number of times for breakfast and always want to return. The waitstaff is very warm and friendly every time I've been there so it's not a chance time that they were good. I always get spinach tomato and feta cheese omelet because I LOVE it!!! It's absolutely perfect every time I get it. Light, fluffy full of good stuff! Really great prices for the amount you get. Bad experience. First we went to the bar, waited a few minutes, and no one came to greet us. Then we asked for a table. Soon after moving to Cherry Valley, Eller's opened right across the street from my apartment. After giving them a couple of tries, both for dinner and breakfast, and moved on to other places. To be clear, the food isn't bad at all, and the service is mostly okay, although sometimes the waitstaff can seem a little disinterested. One of my tries for breakfast I ordered blueberry oatmeal pancakes....when we got our food, I received a plate of pancakes...with a bowl of blueberry oatmeal. I explained to the waitress that I meant that I wanted pancakes with blueberries and oatmeal, I got a TON of attitude and a little bit of argument before getting it taken off the total...I did not want to make my partner wait, so I just stuck with the pancakes I was served. In the end, its decent, moderately priced food. There isn't a whole lot of adventure on the menu, but they do seem to do quite well. Good for older people and families. read more

I was looking for a new place for brunch and decided to go on Yelp to see what was in the area. Despite good or bad reviews I always try a restaurant if it sounds good and there were already good reviews about Eller's so I was excited to try it! I'm very simple when it comes to dining - don't need anything fancy, just a good meal on my plate and pleasant service, and Eller's definitely provided that and more. The service was great, our waitress checked on us enough times and treated my family and I like we were old friends. The brunch menu is typically what you'd find at any restaurant, but I am always a harsh critic on chocolate chip pancakes; can't be too dry, must be fluffy enough, etc. Eller's nailed it. Eller's Restaurant is one of the most underrated places to eat and have a drink in Worcester County! The prices are good, food is fresh and above average, the menu and specials change from time to time, and the atmosphere grows on you. One of the few places that does a wonderful job at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is a townie restaurant done right. This place is always clean, and fun. Parking lot is a toilet however, but I don't think that is their fault. There was a gentleman who posted a review about Eller's and didn't understand why all the love. I can't speak for everyone, but I love the place because the owners love the place. You can tell the ownership has a lot of passion for the establishment, and they have love for the community too. Combine that with the other things I mentioned above, and you have a great combination! Eller's is a great restaurant to be a regular at as well. You know their food is fresh, and prepared with some love. Sure it isn't a foodie's paradise, but it is good hometown food done right. read more

First time here tonight Take out order Beast burger / fries Smelled awesome - got home opened it fries were soggy, bread was soggy . So I had to replace bread and toss fries. Other than that husband said it has great taste but the bulkie would have been better Fried seafood platter Again smelled excellent - got that Home shrimp scallops and fish were soggy . Cole slaw was in aluminum foil and was runny. And juice was all over food (yuck ) . We will try again but the bread will be in side and no slaw !! wow This place was fantastic from the moment we walked in!! The atmosphere was family, pub style and friendly. The staff was pleasant, polite and very helpful. It was our first time there and we were treated like friends.The food was hot and absolutely delicious!!! and the prices were incredible. The best part was I ordered a shrimp dinner, which was not only fabulously delicious and cooked to profection, the shells of the shrimp were removed to make it easier to enjoy. Went there tonight for there $16.99 Italian buffet. Pasta, sausage and meatballs....No way...the menu is very limited to classic food. Tried to order a rare prime rib.. nothing left. got was suppose to be a heavy pork chop 15 bucks ..single pork chop that I can buy in the grocery store for 4 bucks..got a "baked potato" that was miked...best part of the meal was the butternut squash....waited 15 min for the check..bad food..bad service read more
