Ellie is open till 7pm- she keeps her door locked for safety but she is always open which I appreciate. If you come later there usually isn't s wait and there is always parking.. Cash only . $5 for eyebrows- I usually tip 2-3 dollars. I can't say she is my fave threader ever but she is local, consistent, and you can really see that she values her clientele from how she interacts... I was going to try a couple other places in the area but it just never happens... I often like soba but they are double her price and usually you have to brave a mall...I also got tired of trying new places and they quite you one price the first time and hike it up on you when you visit again.. I let my eyebrows grow out, for about two months, after getting my hair done next door, my hair stylist referred me to Ellie. Now let me tell you! She was so sweet, and she was quick. If you wanted your brows more arched she would def give you that. Ellie will also give you her advice or ask you if you want it thinner or however you would like it. I just went to my first appointment with Ellie & she was so sweet & welcoming! The salon was cute, clean & there are plenty of seats in case of a wait time. Luckily, there was no wait time when I went! I was in & out so quickly. My eyebrows were messed up, from a previous experience & I've been in the process of growing them out & hadn't got them threaded since HALLOWEEN! Ellie was swift & informative & she does a great job. They look amazing now! Plus she gives you a mini massage when she finishes them & asks if you want a trim! Ellie was so kind and polite. She asked me if it was my first time there and I had said yes. She was really gentle. I just moved to whittier from the city of commerce and the lady I usually go to, isn't so gentle. Had to give Ellie a try. I think I'll stick to my regular lady. She didn't trim my eyebrows good enough and saw a few hairs sticking out crazier than the other and she didn't clean them up to my liking. I have no problem going to Ellie's to support or go when I don't wanna make the drive to commerce. I'll start off by saying Ellie is very nice and greets everyone as they walk in, however when I was my turn and asked for my face to be threaded and she said well no because there were others waiting and asked I come in Monday or Tuesday to get my face threaded. It was my first time there and no where did it state that she doesn't thread full face on weekends so I was bummed. She did do my eyebrows, upper lip and chin. She cut me on the side of my lip and left hair on my chin. I definitely felt rushed. Based on all the good reviews I thought this would be my new Eyebrow place, however, I won't be back. read more

I go to her from time to time she is absolutely amazing men you can go to her for a clean up and I promise she doesn't thin out your eyebrows unless you ask her she is amazing at her job and I will never ever go anywhere else she knows I'm sensitive and will stop every so often to check on me and give me a tissue haha. I think the reviews are more for what a sweetheart she is. And if that's what you want in a service by all means. But the attention to detail is lacking. I had to go in and tweeze between my eyebrows. That's one thing I feel should always be done correctly and cleanly. Because if you mess up my arc. Okay. Maybe you had an off day or maybe I just didn't quite like what you did. But completely clean between the brows. I was in and out of her chair so fast I was disappointed.
