Ellie was amazing! I absolutely love my balayage. I only came in because I had made a big mistake with box dye the previous night and had a big emergency. I was hoping that she could just try to make it look a little bit better but she ended up Fixing it and giving me what I had originally wanted in the first place. I rarely get my hair dyed, but I have to say she is so friendly and funny and knows what she's doing. I would definitely recommend going to her!

Listen to what the client wants done. Don't just do what you want and give a completely different cut. This 'stylist' does not have any experience in shorter cuts, up to date trendy shorter styles. Also, very pricey for what was done. Had to go have my hair re-cut/styled at another salon. It may not be noticable on longer hair if mistakes are made however, on shorter hair it's definitely noticable. As she states in her ad, she's a colorist. Not too good at styling. Left her little shop very disappointed! read more

Wow. Where to begin. I was referred by a friend to Ellie after seeing the work she had done to her. And sure enough she did not disappoint. I came in with an idea in mind and with her experience and expertise she also guided me on what she thinks will compliment me which I appreciate. Her salon is located inside the District inside the Phoenix Salon suites. Nice adequate and clean space. She is so sweet and such a hardworker. Love my cut and root touch up that she did. ELLIE IS THE BEST HAIRSTYLIST. She updated my roots as this is the second time I came to her. The first time I went was for my first free hand balayage, and I got compliments the moment I posted photos and videos of myself. She highlighted the rest of my hair today, and this is the prettiest I've felt in my life. I even got a compliment from a random lady exiting the building. Ellie made the roots grow out brown so that the blonde naturally comes out. Ellie is so amazing. She took her time to even brush out, blowdry, and curl my hair after. It looks so natural and beautiful! Both times, Ellie and I discussed the price via text to make it easier when coming to my appointment so that there's no confusion. She taught me about using a masque to protect my hair as well as hair oil. My hair has improved and been beautiful ever since. YOU ALL NEED TO GO TO ELLIE. She is seriously talented. read more

Few weeks ago I tried to go blond but the person who did my hair made me a carrot top and left orange patches of bleach throughout my hair. I was trying to adjust to it because I simply didn't have the time to sit through another 5 hour session but found myself super depressed with my hair. Thankfully for my amazing husband he decided to help me find someone to fix the problem. This is when Ellie popped up on Yelp! Skeptical as to whether or not she would be working on a Saturday or if she already had appointments We decided to call and see if she was available. Ellie told us that she was actually done for the day but if we could make it to the salon she will be able to look at my hair and see if she could do something for us, within 15 minutes my husband had us out the door and in front of her shop. Ellie looked at the disastrous orange top that I had on my head and gave me a full consult before adding beautiful blonde pieces and low lights to my hair after a short two hour span, I already looked like a new person! She was so sweet to consult with me and comfort me the whole way as I was super terrified of damaging my hair even more. Needless to say she did a great job! I will definitely be coming back!!! P.S. Ellie is the absolute best! She's made such an amazing look for my hair for the second time! She always gives the best customer service and is the funniest, most charming woman! Not only does she do an amazing job with the coloring but also gives me the best recommendations for hair products that keep my hair super healthy despite the bleaching it has to go through to get such vibrant colors. Everything is Covid safe since you're the only one in the room when she's working on you and everything is disinfected and cleaned between each customer. If you're ever in her chair for an extended period of time she has snacks and beverages for you to keep you comfortable while you wait if you have crazy hair projects you want to try she's the only one crazy enough to help you accomplish it! I like that he's able to give me some variety without damaging it and without suggesting anything that would look bad on me. I have a little gray spot and he does a great job blending it with the highlights so that I don't have to do permanent color. Vibe is very casual and the prices are inexpensive for the area. He is a very honest businessman and will tell you up front if he doesn't think a look is going to be feasible. One time I wanted to go lighter and he lifted the color for a bit, tested it and showed me, went a little longer with no change and let me know that was my limit so that I wouldn't get breakage. He's very professional in conversation topics, keeping it friendly but without anything stressful. I feel safe and comfortable coming here. Overall, I definitely recommend this place and Ryan in particular.

I showed a reference photo, but the final result looked nothing like it. If the stylist wasn't comfortable doing that particular cut, I would have appreciated the honesty upfront. I would have gladly gone somewhere else rather than have a haircut that didn't turn out as requested. The front was noticeably uneven, the hair flared out in an odd way, and the bangs were poorly cut. I ended up having to fix the bangs myself at home. I paid $90 for the haircut, plus a $10 tip, for a total of $100. For that price, I expected much better. My advice would be that if a stylist isn't confident they can achieve a requested haircut, it's better to be honest from the beginning. Customers will appreciate that honesty much more than leaving with a haircut they're unhappy with.

When I say my hair has gone through hell and further I mean it. I went through years of box dye and salon after salon to fix it and nobody could do what I wanted or I would get turned down. I knew my hair would need multiple sessions due to damage and the need for a severe color correction but I was honestly so hopeless that I considered just shaving my head at one point. 2 years of ZERO growth and not a single salon that could help me. Just this year I started taking care of my hair, stopped box dying and it's actually growing(I know that's just a given but I was naive). Anyways In march I started the process of going to a salon to eventually return to my natural color so I could stop dying it all together. That salon said they couldn't do it and they did a terrible job and made my hair worse. Now being 7/8 months later I decided I was just going to go to a salon and let whoever do whatever but make it look better. I found Ellie's and gave her a call. She consulted me over the phone and I sent her pictures of the state my hair was in and we scheduled the appt for today. I went in and she looked at it and we both had the same reaction of WTF. Anyways, Ellie literally turned my hopeless hair into exactly what I wanted and in 1 session. I am still in shock that she was able to do this. Years of hair struggles and no one that could help and Ellie fixed it and she did a beyond perfect job. I couldn't be more grateful. I went to Ellie's Secret Salon after having a really frustrating experience with my hair color elsewhere. My hair had uneven tones, with some greenish/ashy areas and patchiness that I just couldn't fix no matter what I tried. Ellie's Salon took me last minute on a busy day and that was already gracious on its own. I told them I was on a tight schedule so I thought it was impossible to do a keratin- however Ellie said she would do a sped up Keratin treatment on my hair that would work just the same as the original quicker treatment I had planned, if not better. Shoko also assisted in giving me this "sped up" keratin, and I was astounded by the results. Not only does my hair look amazing, but I've never had a keratin treatment done where I don't feel like fainting afterwards because of how long they are! Afterwards Shoko also trimmed my hair, and the result got even better- she got every single one of my dead/split ends. I believe I have a difficult head for haircut! Through all my life I always had issue to get the proper haircut in a way that I really like. I can say through my life there were only 3 hair stylists that smart enough to figure out how to cut my hair and Ellie is the best of them. Since I have known her I never need to go anywhere else. Funny story! Ellie used to cut my hair years ago at a different place across town, and I walked by her new location one evening after dinner by chance and thought "hey, I know her!" Ive been seeing her for a few years now! She's the hair doctor!!! I went to her in a mess of orangey brown and she turned me blonde and my hair was soft and healthy after too! I have been to MANY stylists over the years trying to get the perfect blonde color since I have naturally almost black hair and I finally found my forever home and hairstylist. Ellie went above and beyond to listen and ask questions on my hair goals. She understands the chemistry of hair and color and you can tell she truly loves what she does.
