I love my haircut so much that I had to leave a review. I've tried numerous different salons from Buena Park, Fullerton, Chino, etc. Irvine is a bit of a farther drive for me but I'll do it for Sunnie. She actually ASKS what haircut I want instead of just cutting away like other salons. Also one thing I want to emphasize is that whenever Sunnie cuts my hair, it grows out so pretty I don't know how to describe it. I came here for a haircut after seeing so many positive reviews. I should have known when she had so many open appointment slots for the same weekend. My experience was not great, and one I wouldn't repeat. When I arrived, I was greeted right away, and Jessica, who washed my hair, was very friendly and did a great job. She made me feel welcome. The salon itself was much busier than I expected. There are a lot of styling chairs in a relatively compact space, so it felt more like a Supercuts than a relaxing salon experience. After my wash, I waited about five minutes before Sunny came over, which wasn't an issue. During the consultation, however, I found communication difficult. I showed her several reference photos--one of the look I wanted and another of what I didn't want. I explained that I wanted to keep as much length as possible while trimming the damaged ends and adding soft face-framing layers. I had to repeat myself a few times, and I wasn't sure whether it was a language barrier or simply a difference in communication style. She just asked me "what's different in your opinion." I tried explaining the differences between the photos, I was told it was "just styling," and the consultation didn't really go beyond that. Once the haircut started, there wasn't much discussion. I was asked once at the beginning how much length I wanted taken off, but there were no questions about the face-framing pieces or opportunities to check in as the cut progressed. The haircut itself moved very quickly--about 18 minutes before she was already blow-drying and styling my hair. The final result looked okay after styling, but it wasn't quite the haircut I had hoped for based on the "consultation". I have long hair, so the haircut was $120, which is a standard price for the area, and I still tipped 20% because it's the norm. Now I'm home, I don't love it, but it will have to do until I can go back to LA. For me, the biggest issue wasn't the technical haircut--it was the overall experience. It is a very fast-paced and transactional, almost like moving from one client to the next, like Supercuts and Fantastic Sam's, rather than a personalized consultation/ High-end Salons where the stylist takes time to understand exactly what you're looking for. I've been to many Korean salons in Los Angeles and Korea, and I'm used to a much more collaborative consultation, so this experience was different from what I expected. If you prefer a quick appointment, and just maybe a last minute resort, this may work well for you. If you're looking for a consultation based stylist who spends time discussing your haircut and knows your hair itself, and checking in throughout the process,definitely try somewhere else. I was looking for a salon to get a haircut, it's been a while since I cut my hair and my hair is pretty long. I came across sunnie_oc_hair on instagram and I'm so glad I did because I love my haircut! The salon was very clean and bright, they had some good music playing while I was there. I have to shout out the woman who washed my hair, it felt amazing and I was relaxed after. I had a very disappointing experience at this salon. I went in for a perm, but the result was uneven, with some sections of my hair appearing chemically straightened instead of curled. When I raised the issue, I was told my only options were to either get another perm or live with the results. I was also informed (after the fact) that there is a strict no-refund policy on perms, which would have been good to know upfront. Given how damaged my hair already felt, I chose not to risk another perm. Unfortunately, the haircut I received was also very poor and ended up looking more like a bowl cut than anything intentional or styled. I feel like I was scammed because I originally booked an all over hair color which I was quoted for $200, but was later convinced to just tone my hair. I highly recommend Sharon at All That Hair. She listens and makes the best recommendations when it comes to color and your hair health. I have thick and voluminous hair. She knows how to handle it so that I leave with a clean and sleek haircut each time. Plus she's super easy to talk to but also gives you space to relax while getting your hair done. The salon is clean, bright but welcoming, and the hair washing stations are comfortable to lay back on. The staff offers you a drink, stores your bag safely away (while you keep your phone on you), and they have a cozy room to change in and out of your salon robe. If you get your hair colored, they rub a bit of product along your hairline to prevent color getting on your face and they also slip little covers over your ears to prevent color getting all over your ears. It's the little details that make a difference, amiright? I love when they wash my hair. They cover your eyes with a cloth and you get a relaxing head and scalp massage as they scrub your hair and add fruity aromatic product to it (Toner? Conditioner? I'm not sure but the scent is pleasing to the senses). They have hair dryers that suspend from the ceiling to prevent cords from being all over the floor and Sharon can expertly dry and style your hair with just the hair dryer and a brush. Finish with a smidge of product and your hair is shiny (but not greasy) and ready to go. Appointments are easy. Just drop a text to Sharon and she's responsive and quickly gets you on the books. Her staff are kind and also are the ones who give the amazing massages during the wash (Stella is one of the best!). Go see Sharon. You won't regret it! read more

I have been looking for a local color specialist in Orange County who knows how to do balayage on Asian hair. I poured over multiple Yelp reviews and finally decided to go with All That Hair based on the ashy blond balayage photos I saw in the portfolio. I am so happy that I decided to go with All That Hair! Sunni is the owner and the shop has been open for about four months. Everything is brand new and very clean. She has a team of assistants who worked with her from another salon who were all helping wrap my hair for bleaching. I wound up with an ombré balayage that is an ashy grey-blonde. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. I usually don't get the color taken up so high towards my roots, but Sunni knew I wanted to have my grey blend in once my hair grew out. So there's a lot of depth to the balayage with it being an ombre from the roots to the ends. The whole process took over 5 hours, but I had my laptop with me to work. I was offered a nice foam laptop pad to use to prop up my MacBook while my hair was being foil wrapped by Sunni + her assistants. After the bleaching process was done, she gave me a book to choose color from and gave me some guidance about some of my color choices. I was concerned that the color choice I wanted - very light and ashy grey - would damage my hair, but she reassured me over and over that it would not be a problem and she was 100% correct about it. I was given a treatment after the bleaching process that helped keep my hair super soft after everything was done. I've never had my hair feel so soft after a color treatment before. I love my hair and how it turned out! Lastly, Sunni gave me some instructions on how long I should wait until I next do another balayage (8 months). She also said that I could come back to get it toned after a few months, but that the best thing to do would be to give it 8 months for good hair health. read more

This place had mostly great reviews so I came for a cut with Sunnie and my boyfriend came in for a perm with Stella and I was blown away by my haircut. I asked for a Jennie cut like I would assume everyone does these days! I've never had a stylist with this much experience and outcome in this area. Korean salon, charges $100 for a woman's haircut past the shoulder. Their sign posted $75+ and didn't communicate the difference to me of the up charge.
