    Spanish Omlette
    Allison P.

A beautiful historic home turned cult favorite brunch spot! Ellie's Table is the most darling little place in San Juan Capistrano. It's located pretty centrally, so parking can be a little tricky. There are a few paid lots nearby! I got the Spanish Omelette and a Strawberry Lemonade. The Spanish Omelette was a hefty one! It came with shredded beef, peppers and onions, salsa, cotija cheese, crema, and cilantro. Probably one of the bigger omelettes I've had- great for sharing! Love me a savory, spicy breakfast. Their Strawberry Lemonade was also really good! Fresh and tart with tinge of sweetness.

This little gem is in the most odd location. I feel like you either have to work close by or know to look for it. I've only been there twice but I do like their food. I just forget about it. This trip I came just for the lemon poppyseed cake and I thought it was very light and tasty. I wish there was more lemon curd on it but I enjoyed the slice. They have good salads and their little sandwiches are packed! They do validate so that's definitely good! SYOY

Charming cafe with great decor . Came I. After visiting the Mission and enjoyed a turkey sandwich which was massive . 10/10 Churro coffee was super yummy . Did not enjoy the focaccia turkey sandwich at all plate was to small and bread had a weird texture. I was thrown off by the deli style salad option I originally wanted a salad but they looks not so great . Baked goods looked good but I didn't order any .

This historic house has turned into a restaurant that offers a casual dining experience with quick great food. You walk up to the counter to order and then can wait inside or outside on the patio. The menu has plenty to offer and the counter has glass displaying bakery items both sweet and savory. The patio has seating areas under a big tree with plenty of shade. Parking is very limited on the property, but there is a lot 1 block south that has plenty of free parking. The location here is central to be able to walk afterwards. The mission, downtown, and Los Rios all within minutes. This is a memorable place for food and an experience in San Juan Capistrano!

Such a cute breakfast/brunch spot with plenty of food options to choose from. They have a small parking lot and lots of outdoor seating. The service is great and workers are all friendly. I tried their bruschetta chicken sandwich, garlic fries, chicken and waffles, and their bacon breakfast burrito. For a drink, I got their limited strawberry rose matcha latte. I was not a huge fan of this matcha, it was way too milky. Out of everything, do yourself a favor and get the chicken and waffles or their bruschetta chicken sandwich. The waffle is perfectly crisp and smells like heavenly vanilla. I would pass on the breakfast burrito, because it was pre-made, small, and the tortilla was hardened. I would come back to try their other goodies.

We ordered a variety of bite sized desserts for our son's wedding celebration & they were all delicious! Communication was clear through the process and everything was ready as ordered for en easy pick up. Ellie's table consistently delivers delicious food!

This place is a gen. Cute little building jam packed with people that know the delicious food that this place offers. Handsdown the best quiche I've ever had. I don't usually like quiche because they're usually too eggy but this thing was out of this world. The croissant - so buttery and flaky at the same time. The burrito was also very delicious . Perfect morning with the perfect company (my nephew) eating and drinking the most delicious coffee and breakfast.

Most of what I get here is pretty good. The croissants are huge and not good. The service is great, most of the reason we come back is because the staff is above average.Cali Benedict without bacon is the way to go for me. The rough thing is the parking situation isn't ideal.

Took a short weekend getaway and stumbled upon Ellie's Table. Wow! Not one item was a miss on taste or quality. Everything from their garlic Parmesan French fries to the cinnamon roles to their French toast and croissants were A++++! We will be back!!

First time at Ellie's Table, and I'm already looking forward to the next visit! We were in town looking for somewhere to brunch, and we ended up at this quaint cafe & bakery. Such a good read in the front of this historical landmark btw. Luckily for us, we found street parking around the corner and just walked over. We were welcomed by the beautiful display and array of delicious looking pastries and breads. We grabbed a menu, placed our order, paid at the counter, and got a table outside on their patio. There were amble of tables and chairs inside as well. While waiting for our order, we explored a bit and went upstairs, which showcased a beautiful antique dining table and matching hutch. Order up: - Apple Strudel (warmed up) - Blueberry scone (dusted w/ powdered sugar, yum!) - Strawberry Lavender Lemonade (wish this had free refills, so refreshingly good!!) - Chimichurri Tri Tip Sandwich (theirs was slow roasted and tender, and their ciabatta bread didn't wreck my mouth...must try!!!) - Steak and Egg Breakfast Sandwich (looked equally delish, with an option to upgrade to a butter croissant if you wanted) It did take a while to wait for the sammies, but it was worth the wait. We had the delicious pastries to hold us over. LOL. Cheers and happy eating till next time!

This place hit the spot! The vibes were so cute and the service was great. To drink: -banana bread iced latte: it was good, just barely tasted like banana at all. It was a yummy latte just not what I was expecting. To eat: -short rib egg plate special: SO BOMB! It had some sort of blueberry sauce and pickled onions and microgreens and was just the best -ham and cheese croissant: to die for! -bacon green chile breakfast burrito: needed more bacon, barely got any

The place is a an order at the counter and then get a table kind of place. Makes for quick & easy service. There are always pretty clean tables and a friendly staff. We went on weekday morning and the crowd is definitely more manageable. Today we tried their March Special of Corned Beef Benedict which is a poached egg w/hollandaise/mustard sauce & chives on top of a potato waffle (hash type) & sauerkraut . This is easily a must to appease your St. Patrick's craving of a corn beef breakfast. Very savory and well flavored. We also had the Ellie's Benedict which also has a savory and delectable experience. Really anything with their pastry is likely to have that light buttery texture which is pretty pleasant. Finished it off with a Honey Vanilla latte which is one of my favorite things on this menu. Speaking as a local with so many options, this is probably my favorite place in the area.

First of all the line is out the door and it takes about 30 minutes to order your coffee. There aren't any menus throughout along the way and it's really hard to determine what is actually on their menu until you get inside of the coffee shop because most of their drinks on Yelp and Instagram are seasonal. When I was finally able to order, I ordered two different coffees because I wasn't sure what I was going to like given the coffee shop states all of their syrups are made in house. I think that's why the coffee didn't have any flavor and I didn't like it. The staff was nice enough to remake my drink, but even the second drink tasted like it didn't have any syrup in it and tasted like a regular latte. There is very limited seating inside of the coffee shop, merch is $30+ and you should be prepared for long waits.

It's on me that I didn't realize it was pre-fixe at $48/person on the weekends. So our party of 5 was outrageously expensive considering the fact that we ended up with way too much food and most of it was meh. For course 1, we got the beet and burrata salad, hush puppies, "salmon lox," beignets, and coffee cake. We could have been done after and would have had 1/2 the food leftover. The salmon lox was mild in taste, but nice. The beet salad was delicious, but would have been better with goat cheese. Hush puppies were good, but SO HEAVY. My kids had the beignets and coffee cake, which were served with a lot of syrup/sauce. Neither dish was finished and they were also SO HEAVY. For 2nd plates, we had the beef stew, flannel hash, crab hash, and 2 orders of the mac and cheese with duck confit and truffles. The flannel hash was outstanding. Everything else was meh. The beef stew was good, but the potatoes were unnecessary and there were bites of blue cheese that were disproportionately strong. The crab hash was not good even after adding salt and pepper. The egg portion of the dish was bad. The sweet potato crispies were overwhelming and ridiculous. And the large crab cakes were just totally lacking in flavor. The mac and cheese was also meh although it did reheat better the next day. But the portion of duck confit was light and I ended up with a large bone in my mouth when I had it as leftovers. I do not believe there were any truffles or even truffle oil in this dish, just mushrooms. In short, I would never go again on the weekend and would not even seek this place out on the weekdays. I wonder if the chef changed because the food was just so mediocre compared to before. The portions are very large so if that is of interest, they have that in spades. And the flannel hash was outstanding. So if you find yourself here, definitely order that. I hope a revamp is done on the food. If so, I would come again as the patio is absolutely lovely.
