A must once you step off the train! Located across the train tracks, this super cute coffee shop is a gem. You'll see many locals sitting at the tables working on their computers. There is usually a line, especially during morning hours, but so worth it! I had the Strawberry Latte! So good! And don't forget a BAGEL BOMB! Omgosh! The bacon, cheese and sour cream are delicious! Just grab a few napkins because the cream cheese goes everywhere!

I'm surprised I have never been here and so happy I finally discovered it! Staff were very sweet and quick to make drinks. The place offers free WiFi and a bunch of outside seating. AC inside for when it's hot. They have an array of pastries to choose from. Reasonable pricing. I will be back here again for studying, catching up with a friend, or for a good drink!

I'm not really sure what all the hype is about when it comes to this coffee shop because I did not love it at all. First of all the line is out the door and it takes about 30 minutes to order your coffee. There aren't any menus throughout along the way and it's really hard to determine what is actually on their menu until you get inside of the coffee shop because most of their drinks on Yelp and Instagram are seasonal. When I was finally able to order, I ordered two different coffees because I wasn't sure what I was going to like given the coffee shop states all of their syrups are made in house. I think that's why the coffee didn't have any flavor and I didn't like it. The staff was nice enough to remake my drink, but even the second drink tasted like it didn't have any syrup in it and tasted like a regular latte. There is very limited seating inside of the coffee shop, merch is $30+ and you should be prepared for long waits.

A charming coffee shop located in my favorite area of San Juan Capistrano! The dirty chai was flavorful and a little on the sweeter side, but it was the perfect refreshing drink for a hot day. We also tried the bagel bomb, which was filled with cream cheese and so yummy, especially when heated up. The almond croissant was pretty standard, but the bagel bomb was by far the favorite. The barista was very friendly, and our orders came out quickly despite it being slightly crowded. They had plenty of indoor seating, I would definitely come back for another coffee run!

The location alone is ADORABLE, almost feels like you're walking into grandmas house. I been here multiple times and it's always delicious! I experiment with new flavors each time as they always add new seasonal flavors--super fun! This time I ordered the seasonal iced Strawberry latte with strawberry cold foam and I could tell it was fresh, not artificial. One call out, every time I've gone the outdoor seating has been covered with leaves, twigs, bugs. I wish the seating area was a tad cleaner to enjoy sitting there, maybe with a laptop and have no fear a spider nest was nearby, jaja.

I'm really glad I decided to give Hidden House Coffee another shot. My first visit didn't exactly leave me eager to come back, but the second time around completely changed my perspective, I finally see what all the buzz is about. The coffee was genuinely delicious, and I highly recommend adding the cold foam cream on top it takes the drink to another level. The shop itself is cute with some seating, though it's also a great grab-and-go spot. Located near the train tracks in downtown San Juan Capistrano, it's perfectly situated for a little stroll. I'd suggest grabbing your coffee and walking around the nearby shops to really enjoy the area. Overall, definitely worth a revisit if your first experience didn't wow you, this place redeemed itself for me.

I can't really fault this place. It's in a fantastic location right next to the train station and other restaurants in the area. We tried out the seasonal strawberry cold foam with their cold brew and I have to say it's pretty good! The girl behind the counter also recommended the strawberry matcha, but that's probably something I'll try another time. This place does get busy, but we were lucky and got in before a rush of people started flocking in.

I've been to this coffee shop in the Los Rios area a couple of times now and have always enjoyed their drinks! Tried out their seasonal strawberry cold foam with a cold brew and I really liked it. The cold brew was strong and the foam was delicious with a good strawberry flavor but it was not too sweet. The shop is a cozy shack style with some seating inside but plenty more in the patio. Definitely a good place to enjoy some coffee and vibes.

Ordered a hibiscus elderflower tea which was light and refreshing on a warm Saturday afternoon Be prepared for a wait if you're here on a Saturday afternoon. The line luckily went by quick for us but we with they had the menu posted outside as well so that we could see ahead of time as the inside area is quite small.

Seasonal May 2026: pistachio iced latte (50% sweetness) .
    Mel L.

Ambiance: quaint, cute, tucked away vibe Service: on point, considering how long the line was - out the door. Price: on par with every speciality coffee shop in OC scene: Taste: 5/5 - at 50% sweetness, the pistachio latte was perfectly balanced. You can smell the faint scent of pistachio and it was not too sweet. Parking: you have 4 options, and they do not validate. Hours: they close at 5pm, so no late evening conversations to be held here. (Will not deduct any stars bc frankly that's not their fault) Overall, one of my fave coffee spots in south county and can't wait to be back. Salud

Great coffee shop in downtown San Juan Capistrano. Wonderful seating outside in the wonderful San Juan Capistrano Climate. The coffee is always on point. Usually they have a lot of pastries that you can have also can't beat the friendly smiles in this place.

House of hidden coffee sounded mysterious I expected a ninja serving me. However the stuff were friendly and very informative. The drinks I got were strong and I really woke up by the morning coming the place is not that hidden but I'll let it slidesince I didn't mind finding this place. The place is pretty clean and spacious a good chill spot.

Is there other choices of milk? Perhaps oatmilke , almond or coconut?

    Yes, there were other options

    Where do you park?

We park in the parking garage just across the tracks. $2 per hour.

    Do they accept apple pay?

    Yes

Do they serve food other than pastry?

I haven't seen any food other than what is in the bakery case. A toasted bagel with cream cheese would be nice.... yum... I seems Ben has gone on walk-a-bout circumnavigating the globe.

    Is there anything vegan?

Yes they currently have vegan pumpkin muffins and vegan chocolate chip cookies! Their alternative milks are almond and oat milk (no soy).

    Anyone know the WiFi password?

The current restaurant has been open since 1995 so it's a true piece of California history. One thing I love about this place is that it feels like you're eating in a garden next to a cottage. It's very homely and also service was fantastic. Everything that we ordered came out very fast and was extremely tasty. For my breakfast, I started off with the Tomato Bisque and Grilled Cheese Sandwich, which was a great start to the meal. I'm a huge soup and sandwich fan and was probably the first time I've ever done that at brunch. For my big plate, I chose the Huevo Rancheros and really enjoyed it.
