Stopped by today and was happy to see there was plenty of parking! The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk & was really excited to try it after seeing all the positive reviews and photos. Unfortunately, the iced chai didn't live up to the hype for me. The chia had a very strong spice flavor and the flavoring/ spices seemed to settle at the bottom of the cup. Even after stirring it well, the spices didn't fully blend in and the taste was still overpowering. I feel TLC was overhyped in my opinion. The location has a good parking lot, the patio area is spacious and well decorated. The little space was themed well, and friendly staff, but my mocha iced coffee fell short. It tasted as if I had it sitting out for 30 minutes and all the ice melted. Cute little coffee shop in San Juan Capistrano. The decor is very minimal, but cute, the shops sign gave me a bit of a tattoo parlor vibe. The coffee shop itself is small, and so is the menu, so there aren't a ton of options. I ordered the Fig Matcha, and the flavor was actually really yummy. I loved the little piece of fig they added on top--it gave the drink an extra touch. The employees were nice, and I was surprised to find that the coffee shop is attached to a clothing store. I wasn't expecting that, but it was fun to browse while waiting for my drink. Unfortunately, the matcha made me very sick, and I ended up with a horrible stomach ache afterward. Came here on Thanksgiving and luckily they were open. Their main coffee shop is quite small with limited seating but they have outdoor seating and an apparel side to shop at. We got their seasonal drinks which was a blackberry matcha with oatmilk and the cold brew. Both were very different and unique tasting. The matcha tasted fruity with blackberry taste and it didnt taste artificial which was great. Very refreshing! The cold brew was light and paired well with sparkling soda. A very unique combination but I'm typically not a fan of cold brew so it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a good experience with their cute aesthetic. I've been eyeing True Love Coffee since they first opened and finally made my way in today. The space is super cute--the decor, vibe, and overall aesthetic are warm, stylish, and just super cute. It's definitely a spot you want to hang out in for a bit. Their menu leans more toward drip coffee than espresso drinks, but I ordered a vanilla latte and really enjoyed it. It was delicious and not overly sweet (without any modifications), though it did have a slightly sour note--maybe just the espresso profile. Still tasty overall! What a charming little place! My husband wanted to come try their special winter drink, The Heritage Latte, which features beans smoked at nearby Heritage BBQ. I don't drink much coffee so I got a hot chocolate. While we waited we checked out their merch, they have the cutest stuff! I ended up buying a coffee tumbler and some of their beans for my niece and her boyfriend, loved the packaging! Apparently you get a free coffee when you buy a tumbler, but since we had already ordered, we didn't take advantage of that. He loved his iced latte. It was unique, very salty! I actually did like the flavor, but the smokiness wasn't for me, it was intense! My hot chocolate was just alright, pretty weak on the chocolate flavor. So happy I finally went to try out true love coffee. I've been seeing it all over the socials. About a 10 minute drive from where I live, which is great. Parking was a bit of a challenge on a Tuesday around 11 AM. I don't know if there's parking behind any of the buildings so bring your patients. Super cute entry with a walk up counter to place your order there's also a large pastry case that had strawberry stuffed croissant, banana bread, other croissants, and other baked items. There is a standard menu, which has all of the basic hot and cold beverages. And then they have a seasonal menu, which was also very cool. I chose to get the iced Gwen drink off the seasonal menu which is a vanilla cherry cappuccino, but I chose to have it made into a latte. I purchased that along with a pastry and headed out to the shared patio courtyard. The service is extremely helpful and friendly just as you would expect from the name of the location I really enjoyed the outdoor patio area. I opted to sit under an umbrella at one of the small white tables, but there are large larger, patio tables and chair chairs to relax and perhaps even do some work. I didn't have a very good cell signal and I tried to get on the Wi-Fi but it looks like you needed a password. I don't know if they offer free Wi-Fi. My only issue, and I don't wanna sound like a boomer or a Karen, is that there were some young mothers there with their toddlers having coffee and conversation which is great. Unfortunately their toddlers were running around all over the place. I don't necessarily think it's their playground per se, and they seem disruptive to some of the other customers. It's a place of business not a park. Although I did see a dog so I'm going to assume it's dog friendly. My drink was so delicious that I ordered another one to go. The pastry was also phenomenal. I will definitely come back and bring my hubs. Reasonably priced. Looks like they also had some coffee beans for sale as well. Maybe some retail items I didn't really see clearly. Found this place on Tik Tok, & me being the sucker for aesthetically pleasing coffee spots, I had to make a trip! We drove an hour & a half for this!! Lets get into it.. It was 3pm on a Tuesday, parking was easy, it's located in a shopping center plaza, easy to spot with its cute signs out front. We ordered an Iced Matcha 4/10 - only because I did ask for it to be on the sweeter side, by adding vanilla syrup. Unfortunately I didn't taste any sweetener let alone vanilla, so it just tasted like a heavy milk poured matcha :( My husband ordered the Iced Chai he loved it, but we both didnt like the after taste it gave, I cant really describe the taste, but it tasted off & not like Chai at all. Lastly, we ordered a cinnamon roll which was a 9/10 very crunchy, flaky, & savory. They had outside seating, we chose to take it to go, but they also have very cute picture worthy spots to take content photos/videos, as well as a small merchandise section which was very cute. The service was great! which is mostly why I gave it the stars, as well as the aesthetic of the place. I do live in Downtown LA, so I probably wouldn't make the drive to come back, due to the let down on the drinks tasting not being what we hoped for. Ordered an iced vanilla latte. I would give it a 3 star because I couldn't taste the vanilla at all, I mean not even a little. However, I gave it a 4 star because it was a great iced latte. It was the perfect balance of coffee and milk, leaning stronger on the coffee side. Plus the extra star goes to the staff who were kind and patient while we took some time to look at the menu. What an utterly, huge disappointment. True Love Coffee had been on my list to visit for a while now, so today my husband and I drove just under two hours to try it. With all the positive reviews, we thought it would for sure be worth the journey. Unfortunately, there was NOTHING redeemable about our experience. The baristas were genuinely so incredibly rude. There was a blonde woman and a brunette woman. The blonde was the worst out of the two and immediately treated us like we were a nuisance the moment we walked in the store. Gross attitude and never offered us any assistance. We ordered the iced date night latte with oat milk and the iced strawberry shortcake matcha with oat milk. The prices weren't listed for the drinks, but the total came out to $19 with tip (yes, we still tipped even though they did not deserve it). The brunette barista who made our drinks didn't even acknowledge our existence just pushed our drinks on the counter and ignored us when we said thank you. So much for the love theme of this coffee shop. There was nothing kind or loving about the customer service, which is super ironic. The drinks themselves were absolute TRASH. My husband's latte was listed as having maple date syrup, vanilla sea salt, and grated nutmeg. It tasted like none of the above. All it tasted like was horribly, burnt espresso and oat milk. It didn't even taste slightly sweetened. It was clear the espresso shots were expired. It was genuinely one of the worst lattes we've ever had. The matcha was equally horrendous. The matcha had no flavor. My drink just tasted like a cup full of oat milk with a whisper of matcha. The strawberry vanilla syrup tasted like nothing but it had a horrible, gritty texture. The only thing this place has going for it is a cute aesthetic. We ended up throwing away both of our drinks because they were not drinkable. I hope this shop changes for the better, but after such horrendous customer service and terrible drinks, I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend it to my local friends and family. read more

Don't know if this will make much of an impression but let's give it a go- I've been working on my wife for YEARS on showing her proper shots of espresso. It's one of my favorite things and I always share a sip when I get a really good one. She always makes this scrunched, disgusted face when she tries it. And she's had some excellent ones... But yesterday, I got a quad from True Love and shared a sip and much to my astonishment, she said it was so impressed, she was thinking of getting her own cup. I was flabbergasted. Clean aesthetic. Cool men's boutique to browse next door. All that aside though, the coffee speaks for itself. I'm not taking about the lattes (which looked fab, latte art is on point - their chai is good, too, pictured below) but their batch brew and pour overs. They had 4 types of Ethiopian beans to choose from for the pour overs, and since the wait was going to be long for a pour over, I was happy to be offered the batch brew and saw that their batch brew was also an Ethiopian bean (My husband also worked in specialty coffee and would bring home beans for me to try - for some reason I really like the ones that come from that region of Africa). They also have pastries (mixed berry muffin was super good and sometimes they have sourdough pastries which have a more particular taste). There's a big outdoor patio that used to have tables but now is set up for picnic - there are some umbrellas. Parking is usually easy to find right outside as they're on a long stretch of free parking. They're latte art is also for the win - I heard the barista goes to competitions and it shows!
