THE GOOD: PARKING is great. In a strip mall with a ton of parking spots. AMBIANCE was also great. Cute little coffee shop, with a very photo-worthy heart (their logo) on the wall. SERVICE was good. The baristas were patient with all of the customers as we fumbled around trying to figure out what the drink options were. THE BAD: COFFEE was okay. Not great. Just kind of... fine. MENU isn't on the wall or in large print anywhere. Everybody had to wait until they were at the point-of-sale area to read a handheld menu, causing delays and frustration from the line behind us. (Again, the baristas were super patient, but still, I'd like to know what I'm ordering before I'm face-to-face with them)

I feel TLC was overhyped in my opinion. The location has a good parking lot, the patio area is spacious and well decorated. The little space was themed well, and friendly staff, but my mocha iced coffee fell short. It tasted as if I had it sitting out for 30 minutes and all the ice melted. If you're into shopping it opens up to a small boutique. The matcha here was good though. If you're a matcha lover, you should give this place a try.

I have been wanting to try this place!! I had their seasonal blueberry latte, their in house syrup was awesome. Everyone (staff and customers!) was friendly :) usual semi pricey, coffee shop, specialty latte prices. If in the area again, I'd come back!

Pour over coffee and brisket breakfast taco!

I had a great pour over coffee and a delicious Heritage brisket breakfast taco. I ask the barista and she said they serve brisket breakfast tacos Wed-Sun with a set amount each day. Highly recommend.

Cute little coffee shop in San Juan Capistrano. The decor is very minimal, but cute, the shops sign gave me a bit of a tattoo parlor vibe. The coffee shop itself is small, and so is the menu, so there aren't a ton of options. I ordered the Fig Matcha, and the flavor was actually really yummy. I loved the little piece of fig they added on top--it gave the drink an extra touch. The employees were nice, and I was surprised to find that the coffee shop is attached to a clothing store. I wasn't expecting that, but it was fun to browse while waiting for my drink. Unfortunately, the matcha made me very sick, and I ended up with a horrible stomach ache afterward. Other than that, it's a cute spot with easy parking and a unique concept. Would I go back? Probably not, but I'm glad I gave it a try.

True Love Coffee was such a great find! We ordered a hot mocha and the special Notorious Fig Matcha -- and wow, the matcha was absolutely to die for. Perfectly balanced, smooth, and full of flavor. The mocha was rich and comforting too. Great drinks, cozy vibe, and definitely a spot we'll be coming back to!

Stopped by today and was happy to see there was plenty of parking! The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk & was really excited to try it after seeing all the positive reviews and photos. Unfortunately, the iced chai didn't live up to the hype for me. The chia had a very strong spice flavor and the flavoring/ spices seemed to settle at the bottom of the cup. Even after stirring it well, the spices didn't fully blend in and the taste was still overpowering. Overall, the atmosphere and service were great ---- I just wished the chai had worked out better for me!

Great place to stop in for a quick coffee or tea to go. Small and convenient, but they don't have work space or even tables and chairs. There's a boutique next door, so grab and go or grab and shop. But you're not likely to hang out there much. Staff is friendly and the place is super cute. Definitely worth your while.

We came in not really knowing what to expect. It a small cute coffee shop with a nice ambiance. I usually would order coffee, but the Sunset lemonade matcha I got was sooo good. They also had a little water station and there's also a spot next door if you want to look around before your drink is ready.

What a cute, cool, neighborhood coffee shop. The vanilla latte was tasty and creamy (not as hot as I would like). The staff were friendly and helpful. The ambiance is cozy, classic decor with outdoor seatings.

This is a really cool spot with friendly staff to get come coffee. I grabbed a hot vanilla latte which was overall decent. The milk had a bit too much air during steaming and made my latte taste more airy rather than creamy. Still an enjoyable latte and I can see why locals come here.

Such an adorable spot! Service was friendly, decor was very photogenic and cute, and the drinks were delicious and very easy to drink. We tried a hot latte and iced matcha and both were very well-balanced, smooth, and creamy. Definitely worth checking out when you're in San Juan Capistrano. Thank you for a lovely first visit!

Came here on Thanksgiving and luckily they were open. Their main coffee shop is quite small with limited seating but they have outdoor seating and an apparel side to shop at. We got their seasonal drinks which was a blackberry matcha with oatmilk and the cold brew. Both were very different and unique tasting. The matcha tasted fruity with blackberry taste and it didnt taste artificial which was great. Very refreshing! The cold brew was light and paired well with sparkling soda. A very unique combination but I'm typically not a fan of cold brew so it was not my favorite. Overall, it was a good experience with their cute aesthetic. They also have their own coffee beans for sale. The workers were friendly!

It was 6:30pm on a Tuesday, well within business hours, which I only mention because apparently that memo didn't reach the staff. No hello, no acknowledgment, nothing. Luckily the kiosk was more personable than the humans; it had pictures of everything and nearly upsold me on macarons through sheer visual seduction. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, less sweet. My family and I waited, and eventually a name-less voice called out "Vietnamese coffee" into the void. I went up, said thank you like a functioning member of society, and got a full eye roll in return before she returned to washing dishes. Iconic. Here's the twist: the coffee was genuinely great. So great that I left happy despite the fact that I technically had zero human interaction with another human. Woo, 2026, the future is here and she's stirring your latte in silence. The space itself is clean and spacious, great for studying or a low key date. With boba spots on every corner these days, a little customer service would easily make this a 5 star spot. Docking two stars purely for the vibes (or lack thereof).

The drink I ordered was made incorrectly and did not match what was advertised (they added chamoy throughout the drink instead of just on the rim). I politely brought it to their attention and even asked if I should throw the drink away or leave it on the counter -- I was told to leave it there, which I did. They remade the drink, but then attempted to charge me AGAIN for the corrected version, despite the mistake being entirely on their end. At that point, I declined and said I didn't want it anymore. What happened next was beyond unacceptable -- the employee gave BOTH drinks to the next customer, including the one I had already drank from. That is a blatant health and sanitation violation. There is no scenario where a used drink should ever be re-served to another customer. This goes far beyond a simple mistake. Between trying to double charge and re-serving a contaminated drink, this reflects extremely poor training, lack of oversight, and disregard for basic hygiene standards. I will not be returning, and I strongly question how this location handles food safety behind the counter. Management needs to address this immediately.
