I recently went to get my car washed and while I was waiting I wandered into Vivot because I love coffee. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was this place was packed. I was really excited because if you have this many people in your shop it must be good. The downside, you order on a kiosk. I love that they offer SOY MILK which is my preferred milk and I alternate between the Ube matcha and the Pandan matcha. My daughters like the OG matcha and the strawberry matcha. They only have one size but you can vary the sugar level and the ice level and they have a variety of toppings you can choose from for extra cost. Just as good as the Fullerton location! I stopped here when I was in the area (Apple Maps makes it confusing but you can access it by parking in the lot next door and walking up to the second floor). I've developed a bad sensitivity to caffeine so I haven't been able to drink any classic milk teas in a while, which is why I was wonderfully surprised that they offered a decaf green milk tea. They are located in a fairly new small plaza on second floor in the same location with Hampton Inn and the car wash. There is an escalator and there is no sign like other Yelpers mentioned but it wasn't hard to find the. Go up the escalator and it's right behind the escalator when you came up. The staff were super nice and friendly! Drinks were good and they are known for their matcha, with so many options for it. Our 2nd time trying out this Matcha Cafe as it is conveniently located near the freeway exit. It's a hip modern cafe that has a lot of tables inside if you have some work stuff or friendly catchup to do. On our first visit we tried the Ube Matcha and Matcha Einspanner. Matcha Einspanner is much better than the ube. And they don't charge extra for Milk alternatives like Oat and Soymilk which is great! You can adjust the sweetness of their matcha drinks as well and have Splenda alternatives. On our 2nd visit we tried their Double Hojicha and Double Matcha which are both solid. I liked the Hojicha more because you can really taste the nutty flavor and cinammon on top. It's pretty packed on the weekends but there were no lines as the staffs are quick on the orders as well. Hands down the best matcha I've had. I would definitely come here all the time for their matcha because it's not too sweet. I tried their fruit flight matcha with oat milk and the balance was so perfect. It wasn't overly sweet so you don't need to adjust the sweetness. Hands down one of the best matcha places in deep South OC, probs even the best in my opinion. It's hard to come by such rich green tea flavors that aren't the muted-flavored/watered down matcha that we usually get around here. They have a variety of matcha, hojicha, and coffee with different fruit purees and cream tops. I'm here at least once a week because that's how good their matcha is. My go to is their mango matcha - the mango puree is fresh and the balance between mango and matcha is perfect. I've also tried their strawberry matcha, blueberry matcha, and matcha einspanner too and those are all great too. They are always consistent and I've never had a bad drink. The staff are friendly and always offer to adjust your drink if you don't like it. The space is nice and there's plenty of room and tables. After about 10-15 minutes, I got up to tell the barista we'd been waiting for a long time and wanted to know the status of our order. it was a young woman with medium cut wavy brown hair and glasses she just stared at me and then asked what the name was then when I told her she just said ours was next to be made and walked away. They didn't even start on our order! When we finally got it, I tried my matcha latte and it was extremely bitter. Even though I asked for 100% SWEETNESS it seems that the baristas didn't care enough to actually make it sweet. I didn't taste an ounce of sugar in my drink.The raspberry didn't make it any better so all I tasted was bitter and sour matcha, it was basically inedible. However, I will say the honey cinnamon latte was good, but they should really improve on the thing they're known for, which is matcha lattes. The muffin loaf tasted alright but I could tell they got it premade because it was clearly microwaved and was very greasy I had to wipe my hands every time I picked it up to take a bite. Once we got there, we decided to try something different - I got a lychee matcha and it was delicious! I really enjoy the flavor of matcha but lattes can get too heavy so the lychee was great and felt much lighter and not too sweet. Parking is plenty. The space is open and modern, but often packed, as it is very close to Saddleback college as well. Their matcha is great. The matcha einspanner with sea salt foam is delicious. There is a bit of a wait, because they make everything fresh. I thought the price is a little high but you also get a big cup.
