We got the asparagus mushroom quiche as well as the spinach feta - both were outstanding - creamy egg with flaky crust. The salad and French bread were also nice. The pastries were also excellent - flaky pastry. Nice little outdoor seating area!

This place offers a variety of breakfast selection in a modest setting. Their croissant is really good, as well as the crumble cake. They also offer loaves of bread, from olive to sourdough. I highly recommend this place for a quick breakfast or brunch.

Such a cute coffee shop. I had a cappuccino and I really liked that it was not too sweet. I also got a croissant with Nutella and it was very fresh with plenty of filling. Service was very pleasant and fast. I really loved this place and honestly wish I had a coffee shop like this closer to my home.

The pastries were delicious, but the service was frustratingly slow. There were only two groups of customers in the bakery, and I ordered just two pastries to go. Somehow, I still had to wait 15 minutes. With such a small crowd, I expected much faster service. Great food, but the long wait took away from the overall experience.

Stopped by this super cute French bakery, and we were helped by a lovely lady with amazing customer service. We ordered two cappuccino's an almond croissant and a mini mocha hazelnut cheesecake, they both were outstanding so fresh tasting and delicious! They have lots of baked goods to choose from, including coffee drinks and a variety of other beverages. You have the option to sit inside or on the front patio, such a cool vibe! We definitely will be back !!

Ham and Bacon Quiche - amazing

I was craving something for breakfast that was savory and filling so I grabbed a piece of their Ham and Bacon Quiche to take home with me. Was it good? Oh, yes it was! Was it filling? Absolutely! This may be the best quiche that I have ever eaten. They gave me instructions on how to heat it up, and it came out perfect. The crust was flakey and the filling was 5/5 delicious. They certainly have a number of great looking items to try but I want another slice of the quiche.

If this review was just for the baguette, I would rate this a solid 4. The baguette has a great chew to it. For some, it might be too much of a chew, but it was purchased late in the day. It has a great tasting crust. It would be a solid 5 if it was $3-$4. But at $6, it's pretty steep for a baguette. Even for Dana Point. Second review is for their chocolate chip cookies. I would rate them a solid 1. They don't have a strong chocolate chip taste to them, even though they look to have a lot of chocolate chips in them. They remind of me store bought cookies. I know everyone has a preference - these are definitely not mine. And for the price and size, they are a little disappointing. Great bread. Not-so-great chocolate chip cookies.

They have an impressive selection of pastries with a variety of flavors. They have also sourdough bread, french, and other loaves. We tried the raisin croissant, pistachio croissant, baguette, and quiche, which were all good. Even when they weren't crispy by the time we purchased them, which were at the San Juan Capistrano farmers market where we found them on a Friday.

    This person is terrible

UPDATE: since the owner is looking at their yelp you need to know that I relied on yelp to find your place I drove out of the way to actually try your place based off yelp reviews - what I did not appreciate is that your main highlight on yelp was your croissants which im sure if warmed up would change my mind but since your employee could care less about your customers experience and to experience your croissant then it was a terrible decision to come to this place the LEAST she can do is warm it up but because I bugged her on her break it seems like I'm the bad guy for coming in and giving you my money. **l wish I never wasted my money and time coming to this stpid coffee shop it's a waste of my time. This lady is absolutely miserable it's like I walked in to her break and she's pissed off at me for being a customer would never ever come back here!!!! Croissants are hard and cold she was pissed that I asked to warm it up

Went for a morning snack and found a gem! We ordered the kouign amann, raspberry fruit parfait and a coffee. Pastry was fresh, tasty, baked to perfection and high quality. Coffee was delicious. Fruit parfait was the best my wife has ever had. Service was slow as they appeared understaffed. But it was well worth it. Definitely repeat.

    Matcha

The matcha was fantastic, there was great service, and an ambient atmosphere!!! I will be coming back.

The raspberry croissant was immaculate and the that served us was super kind and welcoming!

Our pastries were not cooked all the way through. The kouign-amann was raw inside. And the almond croissant had no almond paste.

Love their Nutella banana croissant, but I have to get there early because it sells out fast. Iced caramel latte better than Starbucks!

While the prices are slightly higher than in other places, this shop offers special orders and various cakes. We came here after a fest at Jimmy's famous American tavern restaurant. So we decided to just buy one raspberry cupcake. I had it for breakfast in the morning. It was super delicious. It was a very satisfying chocolate cupcake with a raspberry cream on top covered in fine chocolate. I regretted that we discovered it the night just before we departed. First, the hostess was amazing and very tolerant when we had to switch tables 3 times before it was "just right". It's a tiny place where you order at the counter and then they bring the food and drinks to your table and they have a nice patio with various styles of tables. Since Benedict's are their specialty, I had to try one and went with the Jojo's since it was a little different with bacon and jalapeños. It was absolutely delicious, super flavorful, but honestly 2 eggs are too much for me - wish I had someone to share, but my table mates had the classic Benedict and the Ahi salad. On the side were amazing purple potatoes - such a nice surprise. And I had to do a cranberry mimosa (because brunch!) that came with a little pitcher of juice on the side so I could customize. Loved this spot and would definitely try dinner here next time as I hear it's also great.

As an example, I have had some incredible meals here, where the food quality, food prep and presentation, were all stellar. So far so good, right? But I can go back with friends a week later and order the exact same dishes and they come out COMPLETELY different and horrible in every way. I've had inedible food served to me that should have never left the kitchen. Likewise, I can come one day and get good, friendly service and I can come the next day, stand in line for 30 minutes and get bad attitudes and total chaos. Unfortunately the latter seems more common. This is all disappointing, especially from a catering company. I would never hire them for catering because of this. You'd think they would have a recipe book and train anyone to cook and prepare dishes the proper way. Consistency is extremely important in the food service industry. You'd also think after all these years, they could solve their staffing and scheduling issues. The most common excuse I hear from the cafe staff is that they had a catering gig that day and all the staff are off doing that, leaving the cafe in chaos, where it seems like the dishwasher is doing the cooking. Finally, as MANY other customers have mentioned here, the ambience is utterly ruined by the LOUD obnoxious MUSIC playing on the outdoor speakers. This seems to be for the benefit of the staff and absolutely ruins what could be a very unique and peaceful courtyard patio setting. We can hardly have a conversation out there. Everyone I've brought here says the same thing. There's a reason restaurants offer indoor and outdoor seating. People who choose to sit outside want to talk and want a quieter atmosphere. Here's a solution: Play what you want INSIDE the cafe, in which case the open doors would allow music to waft outside a little, but PLEASE turn the outside speakers off, as they are completely unnecessary. If you insist on playing music outside, PLEASE get rid of the pounding nightclub music (which makes zero sense at 1PM) and please play something soft and jazzy AT A VERY LOW VOLUME. We are the locals. We are your regulars. Please listen to our concerns. You have the potential to be one of the best 5 star spots in this area, but for now it's 2.5 stars.
