I was very happy to find a new optometrist and didn't anticipate returning for a second visit so quickly. Within a few days of my appointment I got something in my eye when walking outside in the wind. I finally called several days later when it became even more irritated and they worked me in the same day. Dr. McMahon found a grain of sand had stuck itself to my eye and said next time to not hesitate calling to come in for a check. It was such a relief to get it out and they were so awesome to get me scheduled same day to come in when I called. My daughter needs a new optometrist and I know who I'll be sending her to! I highly recommend Dr. McMahon and appreciate how considerate and professional both she and her practice is.

Very poor customer service. I went in to get my yearly exam and got glasses. The prescription…read moreended up being off so I needed to get the lenses replaced. But I had broken the frames so I was willing to pay for the frames I just needed the lenses replaced. What happens and I wasn't able to get back there and I actually completely forgot about them. So when I called to ask about where we were in the process they told me I needed to bring in my broken frames in order for the lab to make a new glasses. What? I obviously don't have the broken frames. No one told me this information the first time I went. And the girl on the phone kept saying well since it's been so long (about six months) what does that matter? My prescription is good for a year and the prescription was incorrect so either way I still needed a replacement but they told me I would have to pay full price for the frames and the lenses. The girl on the phone was not helpful. Just very disappointed. I will not be returning there. On the other hand the doctor was very nice and helpful. Was able to see me in short notice.

Both were very professional and willingly helped adjust my glasses any time I had the need. Several weeks ago, I needed an adjustment as my glasses were crooked (my fault). After adjusting them, I asked a question about a flash I was seeing occasionally. I was told to go to my eye doctor ASAP as the flash COULD indicate a retina problem. I went the next morning and the flash turned out to be a detached retina which has been repaired. Had I not asked the question, I probably would have lost the sight. Thank you, Fred!!

He went in and told the salesman that they were broken, and the salesman said there was no way they were broken- he said you could kick them across the room and they wouldn't break. Then he proceeded to kick them across the room. My 87 year olds father's glasses! When came home, he had this look on his face that I've never seen before, like complete shame. I was horrified; he told me not to make a big deal of it, but I'll never go back, and neither will he. What a shame.

They also pointed out why my older frames weren't the best fit for my face and educated me to the sizing and numbers located on the frame. I started my process of replacing my progressive glasses online from another company, and it just…read moredidn't work out because of the many variables. In short, I could hardly read. The online store was actually very fair, accepted returns, but it wasn't a good option for me. Fast forward, the optometrist checked my prescription, and rechecked when I was in doubt without charge. The optician helped me find a stylish suitable frame, and after about a week, the precision lenses were very good, and clear at multiple distances. Sure, online is cheaper, but due to the variables, I have come to the conclusion it's not worth it unless you know the frame fit and have a simple correction. Pay a bit more (still less than many private practices) and visit the brick-and-mortar store.

I went in for an annual appointment, which was efficient and overall fine. I looked at some glasses…read moreand told the optometrist clerk I didn't want to spend any money out of pocket and just wanted to get something covered by my insurance. She said she understood and then took me to a rack to pick out some options that were covered. After sitting back down, she tried to upsell every option to me. I declined them, and then was still met by a $110 quote on my way out. There are signs everywhere saying "no refunds", which did not inspire my confidence in the quality of their craftsmanship. I can get 5 pairs of similar quality glasses online for less money and be met with better customer service with return options, so I'll be doing that. During my short thirty minute visit, the phone was ringing off the hook, calls were going unanswered, and another customer was in the lobby literally crying in frustration over having had such terrible experiences with the office. I had a similar experience with this office last year and will likely be taking my business elsewhere in the future, which is a shame because again, the tech and doctor seemed knowledgeable and efficient.

I leave work 40 minutes early to drive to my appointment. As I sat in the waiting room I see a text message on my my phone telling me that my appointment had been cancelled. The text message was sent 28 minutes before appointment. They called me too 28 minutes before but I'm driving so my phone is in automatic do not disturb until I shut off my car. I asked why and I was told by the receptionist that even though I confirmed my appointment by email prior thereto, because I failed to return their call when they called me to remind me of the appointment they cancelled it. I confirmed my appointment and that is all that should be necessary. I lost an hour and a half of work with no pay. I will find a nice little small office who will treat me with respect.

Although I do not think it's right that Medicare doesn't pay for routine but necessary to buy contacts or eyeglasses exams, I felt some empathy coming back to me. Gladly my eyes haven't changed so I was happy about that. I complimented Dr Hayden on the gal that does the preliminary eye stuff super nice, and the photos of my inner eyeball were way cool and looked like Mars Dr Hayden himself was very nice and explained what he was seeing. He had a Mensa magazine on the table in the waiting room of which he belongs. I am light years in IQ points below that lol but appreciate that a down to earth bona fide genius is my eye Docter.
