He ran into a problem with the old disposal, it was too big. He had a brand new on his truck, at a very reasonable cost. I would never recommend hiring these guys…read more I had them come out to install a tankless electric water heater in my short term rental unit. It was New Year's Eve. When they finished installing the water heater, they turned on power to it and sparks flew everywhere. It tripped the breaker feeding power to my entire unit. The Plumber's quickly packed up and left, saying it was not their fault and there was nothing they could do. I had guests checking in mere hours later. I called my Electrician and he quickly came and saw that they had wired the unit incorrectly, causing the breaker to trip. When I confronted them about the issue, they said I would have to take it up with the branch manager, Matt. I spoke with Matt multiple times on different occasions and he assured me that he would care for my electricians emergency service call charge on New Year's Eve. He never followed through on his promise. I escalated the matter to the regional manager, and he too promised the bill would be cared for. They never followed thru. After months of bugging them, they have finally stopped taking my calls. In short, they deliver sub-par work, charge out the nose for it, and do not stand behind their work. Very very disappointed in my dealings with them.

The plumber, Austin was very nice and thorough. He was great at explaining his recommendations and the differences in the brands. He also was knowledgeable about the various warranties for the tankless water heaters as well as his service. I found him to be friendly and timely. He also provided great communication in regards to when he could obtain the recommended tankless water heater and when he would be out to install it the next day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service and my interaction with Austin. He was very helpful in helping me move some items. He also left the work area cleaned and disposed of the old water heater. The old water heater installation was very unorganized so he did put the pipes and everything back on the wall and left them better than they were before. It took him about two hours to install the new tankless water heater. The first issues at hand was a halway three-way switch that would only work if the other switch was in the on position. The service tech spent about 30-45 correcting the wiring so that the both light switches work as advertised. The second was correcting the wiring in my garage which at first seemed like a daunting task due to the accessibility/small crawl space to get where the electrical work was required. But yet again, the service tech knock this project out seamlessly and better than than initially thought. The total cost for these repairs was approximately $400 for a couple hours of work. As a homeowner, that cost seemed reasonable enough for that peace of mind that an electrical issue was corrected to code. And with that, I highly recommend this business if you're looking for a straight forward, reasonable, professional electrician.

In the past we've agonized over finding a new contractor or handyman who not only did good work but didn't hit us with questionable or surprise charges, but from the time we first found Eric's business profile on Facebook with examples of his gorgeous tile work and had him redo our bathroom floor, we haven't needed to find anyone else. He has redone the tile in both our bathrooms and our shower (looks absolutely amazing and we are SO pleased with it!), installed toilets, bathroom vanities, painted our hallway and bedrooms, and helped us switch out a ceiling fan with a ceiling-flush fixture with multiple lighting settings, and installed a new mailbox (w/post). We gave him a key to go into the house while we were out of town to install a cover plate for an empty outlet box; he fit it in on short notice so the listing photos for our house would look good. Not only has he done great work on everything, but he's a clear and kind communicator. In the past I've had contractors be very short with me and make me feel foolish for asking detailed questions about aspects of the work we're having done (not great for my anxiety), but Eric has always been extremely gracious and patient. He broke down the process of how the tiling job would go when I asked, he's shown me the most efficient way to patch nail holes and use tools properly, and during the first job we hired him for (as I was just getting comfortable with power tools and DIY projects) he took the time to show me how to properly (and safely) replace the blade on my miter saw! To boot, he's good with our large dogs which is a big deal for us having had many fosters and adopted a few rescues of our own. We can't recommend Eric and his work highly enough. Quality, fair prices, good communication, and trustworthy! Once you hire him for a job, you'll never need to look elsewhere for handyman work and tiling.

We had this company come out to put in water lines and drainage on two properties. The water lines lasted just about a year before leaking everywhere. They wanted to charge $140 to come back out because "they don't know what could have happened in the last year." That I could possibly understand. What I can't understand is the drainage they put in. We see the ceiling has wet spots and is soaked so we cut it open to find out the problem and we see that it's leaking from the fitting that they installed. It ended up leaking into the ceiling of the house and destroying it. We had to cut open the brand-new ceiling just to see that the fitting they installed was shredded around the hub. There was a gap between the pipe and the fitting that they just lathered a bunch of glue around in an attempt to have it hold until it wasn't their problem anymore. We messaged them about it, and they read the texts (with read receipts on) and then just straight up ignored it. We have to replace the entire ceiling, along with having the plumbing redone now. We cut out the fitting and we can see the pipe wasn't even inserted all the way into the fitting. As someone who also works in the plumbing field, seeing how that was installed, this wasn't a possible accident like the water lines. They knew that the pipe wasn't fully inserted properly and just dumped a ton of glue on it to get it to hold, even though they knew there was a very, very high probability it would leak down the road and it did. I'd never use this company again. read more

I feel lucky to have found Elliot Plumbing. After essentially being ripped off by a large national plumbing company who I will not name, I sought out another plumber for my next job and Elliot Plumbing came through. Communication was stellar, truly felt like a collaborative process towards getting the job done. Price was very reasonable which it seems hard to find anyone now adays with reasonable fees/rates. Finally, they responded to an emergency of no water to the house, they quickly came up with a solution and restored services. I wish more companies were like Elliot plumbing. Bruce came by an hour before scheduled time and knew exactly what to do!! My kitchen sink had been backed up for days and I tried everything I could find on YouTube and called multiple people to come and look at it. He attempted to fix it, said it was repaired, and then left our home. Before leaving, he also gave us written instructions on what to do if the water heater started leaking again. About 13 minutes after he left, the entire unit began leaking heavily and flooded our laundry room and garage. A technician should never leave a home with a newly installed unit that was already leaking during installation. If the unit was defective, it should have been replaced or shut off before leaving. The flooding required professional remediation and repairs. The company's insurance carrier ultimately accepted liability and paid for the damage, but the situation should never have happened in the first place. We also requested installation documentation during the claim process and had difficulty obtaining it. Very disappointing experience.

Both contractors stated they are doing labor for free. I just want my issue fixed. Issue Winds up costing me $95 service fee and parts at $271. This total $366 plus the annual fee of having home warranty that i have only used once this yearly cycle witch end next month. I definitely will not be renewing membership agian for sure! Visit 2: Explained to my partner someone replaced the handle at some point to our $1,500 toilet with an after market one, so he made created his own handle. After he left I tested it, his creation was too long for the inside of the toilet and the flapper now got hung up on his creation. He told the owner he tested before he left, but pictures speak for themselves. Visit 3: Called an hour late saying he would be there in 5 minutes. I told him he was an hour late and we were headed out the door. He has attitude I was wrong. Sent him a screen shot of schedule text and he apologized. Pulled manual confirmed my theory of the issue, hired new plumber.

He told us it works be $25k. When we didn't immediately agree to get the $25k in work done (who doesn't get a second opinion for that much work?), he informed us that we had to pay extra for a copy of the video!! The rotor and "camera" cost us $749. The next day, I called him asking for a copy of the estimate bc I hadn't received it via email yet. He said that he doesn't give written estimates bc we might use it to get a cheaper quote from someone else!! We didn't use the water at all until we tried flushing once the next day. The backup was back, which wouldn't be too surprising if there was a break. We called a different plumber. He did another rotor and camera for $400. He didn't find a break. He also provided us with a copy of the video and a written estimate if we wanted to replace the cast iron. We watched the video. The pipe is in surprisingly good condition and there is no break. It's unclear what caused the backup. It's been over a month and there has been no further issues. I called Jonathan and asked to see the video showing the break or a refund of only the cost of the camera. He repeatedly *insisted* that he never told us that there was a break and that he only told us to jet the line. No wonder he refused to provide a written estimate. Fortunately, I had the payment receipt which mentioned the break. He then started to discuss not charging us for another camera if we hired him to put in a cutout. I declined and he said that he'd call me back in half an hour. He didn't call back. When i texted him late that evening, he demanded to see the video showing no break. Why does he want the video showing no breaks when he insisted that he never said that there were breaks? Maybe I should have sent it to him, but he had already gaslit me and now he was moving the goalposts. I told him I'd play if for him if he came over, but I wasn't going to email it to him. He refused. I told him that I'd send it if he sent the video showing a break. He didn't respond (this part was over text). I have no evidence that he even did the camera. His rotor job appears to also have also been subpar considering the backup reoccurred so quickly and the pipes are fine now that another plumber rotored them.
