Tried them again. I'll never learn. Took 45 min for a car wash that should have taken 15 min. They didn't wash all my mats even though I paid for all of them. My car took 30 min JUST to get into the car wash. Owner said it's because someone ahead of me paid for a hand wash. They literally stopped all cars from entering the automatic car wash because the Ellis Car Wash System blocks the entrance to the automatic car wash for 30 minutes while they hand wash a car. I think this is the definition of stupidity and the fact that the owner thought this was acceptable proves that the beat-down, tired look on all of the employees faces is now understandable. Ok, this is it, won't EVER be going back. I will be driving to hammer lane for the full service car wash over there. If I could give Ellis a Zero I would. read more

I wish I took some pics of before and after because you wouldn't even know it was the same car. I had my company car transported from Colorado to California and when it came off the transporter it wasn't even black anymore. The driver got stuck in a snow storm in Wyoming and my car literally was grey. Took it to Ellis Car Wash after and what they did was amazing! I paid for the top end wash which covers everything including conditioning tires and the whole inside well worth the $40 for sure. What I got back was basically a brand new car. It looked and smelled so good and completely happy! The place itself isn't that nice and in an old building but what it lacks in style or decor to wait for your car it makes up for in quality for sure!! Will for sure be coming back. read more

Took my dirty Toyota in today and for $29.99 the results were fantastic. The inside was vacuumed, and interior windows clean!

I payed $75 dollars for a hand wash on my 24 Ram 2500 Mega Cab pickup and they did a shitty job. The bed cover was still dirty, there vacuuming sucked, they didnt clean my sun roof and I had to tell them to armor all my tires So we will not be going back read more

Online it says they close at 430pm, but they say they take their last car at 415pm. Wouldn't take my car even though I was there at 416pm.

I don't know what kind of soap/wax they're using but whatever it is, it's AMAZING. Got the "Best Wash" on Sunday and since then it's rained. I walked out after the rain had dried thinking my car would be all dirty and spotty again, but as of today (Thursday) it still looks like the day it was washed. Super happy!! read more

I drove up to the drive-through requested a car wash. They gave me a price of $29. I asked the young lady please make sure they clean my inside windshield. She never even acknowledged me even talking to her. She told me to go inside the store, I did I told the young person to make sure that they clean inside my trunk. He said he would as I was watching the employees clean the interior of my car one of the employees flagged me to let me know when my car was ready as I began to inspect my car I noticed that there was still debris in the trunk that was not properly vacuumed. I noticed that in between the seats, it was not vacuumed at all. I asked to speak to the manager. The young person came out, and I showed him all the areas which they employees did not clean at this time one of the employees began to argue with me about who did what and she didn't do it and they should do a better job. I told her it doesn't matter. I just want to clean my car and I will never come back and she told me she didn't want me to come back. I addressed that to the young manager to make a long story short. The car wash was ok. The interior cleaning was not very good. I can do better my self. This experience that I had at this car wash just made me think .. the cost of everything has gone up, but the poor workmanship continues to decline wake up people we can do better! read more

This is the second time I have taken my black, small SUV to Ellis. Both times, my car looks like it's brand new. Having a black car is not always easy to keep clean and I was doing it myself but it is well worth the price to have it be so clean. Not sure why there are so many recent bad reviews but I went today and overlooked all the comments and decided to give them a try. My car looks brand spanking new!! I have been to a couple full service car washes and this by far is the best one yet. They even cleaned inside my cup holders and that is always overlooked! Also, the best part was the gentleman saw that I had hit my car and he took out the scratches from my car IT DOESNT EVEN LOOK LIKE I HIT IT I'm extremely happy definitely coming back. I'll drop what my scratches looked like before and how clean and scratch free my car looks now. read more

I read the reviews and looked at the pics and most were very old. I also thought maybe people expected too much from a "car wash" and maybe should have looked into a detail rather than a wash. I would not expect my vents to be dust free or a car wash to fix and clean my inability to not spill drinks and food throughout my interior. However I do expect the "best" package to include a proper wash of the outside. This would include bugs....and dirt. They appear to go through the motions, but reviewing the same areas they "did" resulted in a redo when I got home. I went there because I didn't have the time to do it myself today, but ended up spending just as much time redoing as I would have if I had just done it myself. And I'd still have the $40+ in my pocket. Positive note: the air fresheners is still the same as it was 20 yrs ago. That's about it. Lesson learned. read more

I've noticed that most reviews on the Ellis Car Wash are more than a year old. This review is based on my bringing in 2 cars to the car wash on an average of 6 times a month. Since moving to Lodi in March 2020 I have been using this Ellis Car Wash. Admittedly it was not the best wash at the time but it was the only full service wash in town. Sean and his family had just bought the business, which seemed to have been neglected and needed much updating. This place is a work in progress. In September 2021 they replaced the old tunnel washing system with a new state of the art system. They are constantly upgrading the business and doing whatever they can to get the cars cleaner and in and out in a timely manner. If it's not too busy you are in and out in less than 20 minutes. They try make your wait a short and pleasant experience. The employees and management team are responsive to any concerns you might have and go out of their way to make sure the customer is satisfied with their car wash experience. I have been very happy with the service and have been treated very well by the employees. I only get the "Best Wash" and do not have any complaints. I can not speak about the other washes offered. read more

The new set up for vacuuming and drying is a nightmare. Our door was being opened into the car next to ours and left a mark. Watched them do it twice. Left a white paint mark from the truck next to us. There is not enough space to work side by side without door dings happening. Extremely frustrated! Waited for someone to talk to and it took to long and so we left. I doubt anything would have been done. Watch your doors! read more

The paint on my 2007 Ford Expedition was starting to fade and oxidize. I started looking around for exterior treatments both do-it-yourself and professional quotes. I had previously had Ellis do the interior of my son's car to which they did an amazing job. So I had them quote for my Expedition exterior including buffing the headlights. Short story - the best $$ I have spent on my SUV in a loooong time. Not only did they ace the exterior - because it's a full service car wash - they also vacuumed and wiped down the entire interior. I've been going there for years. I've always gotten a clean car. The intake person is really friendly and doesn't try to talk you into any particular price. I needed my phone charged and he went to his car to get his charger for me. The manager is also very friendly and helpful. If your car isn't done to your satisfaction then give him a chance to redo whatever you feel wasn't done right. It's hard for the manager to keep employees there when needed as it's fruit picking season and the workers go to those jobs. So tip well as they are the ones cleaning your car out in the sun all day while we sit indoors or the shade. Give them a try...I really think you will like them. read more

I purchased a booklet of car wash coupons from Ellis Car Wash and they refused to accept them when I came to get a car wash. The man at the counter said that it didn't say what kind of car wash it was for and that it was too old. I didn't print the tickets and it had no expiration date, so I don't believe that is my problem. Never will go to Ellis again. read more

So.. I don't frequent here as much during our "rainy" season even with as little rain we've had for the year thus far. I drive anywhere up to 400-500 miles a week, so my windshield time makes it a challenge to keep the car clean- A few months ago we had come and had a not so great experience, but truly Ellis redeemed themselves today- they did a fantastic job on my car. I got the "Ultra" plus interior dressing. It looks like a completely brand new car- Thank you to the manager for addressing any concerns from previous- and to the guys that took care of my car for the great attention to detail. Ellis Car Wash was recommended to me by a family member who had their car detailed by them and said they did a good job. Had my car fully detailed including the head light restoration. The only problem I had is that the driver seat leather was damaged after getting the car detailed. Was told it was due to the wear and tear of the seat leather. I am currently having the damaged seat repaired. Was told by the place that is repairing the seat said , it looks like Ellis Car Wash used to harsh of chemicals . I just wish Ellis Car Wash would of been more truthful with me about their mistake. No w I am out of more money for repairs read more

Paid for the best wash and got horrible service, took my truck came out with a bunch of swirls on the black paint, windows,rims looked all ashy and were still dirty from the old rags they use, people drying it outside did a half ass job as well they don't care to do a nice job on your vehicle , Had to get home and wash it my self all over.
