I came to get my car wash and the first time I got it was there were heck of dirt spots on my truck. I complained to one of the employees and he told me to go back through again. I went through the car wash again and the employee was rude. He was trying to rush me through to wash I had to stop and make him wash my car again. After this I will never come back to this place. So Ive been washing my truck with a lumber rack on it for the past 30 years with not problem. Ibeen washing the same truck at this car wash in galt since the day it opened with no problems. So now today the attendant tells me I can no longer use his car wash with a rack. What a bullshit policy !! I noticed about 6 months to a year ago they ( other car washes) stopped letting trucks with racks on them. So now everyone jumps on the train to no racks allowed any more. Well when services are removed its the beginning of the end. This car wash just lost my business for 2 cars forever, because of a stupid BS policy. read more

I have had a membership for a while. my car never seems to be fully clean. I tried to cancel my membership in person months ago at the Galt location and was told the membership would be canceled and at the most I may receive a phone call. I have tried emailing and calling for months and can not get ahold of anyone besides the Livermore store who said she would leave the Galt location a message. So I go to the Triple Crown car wash last week and there's no one to dry my truck. I had to do it and I cannot reach the windows front or back or the top of the truck. So they have raised their rate and they do not drive the cars till after 11 till 4 o'clock. I go there today at noon and again there's no one there to dry my car. I do it myself and just as I'm done the person comes out and says "oh I'm sorry" I said I'm done now so it doesn't matter. So raised prices with poor quality and not worth the value any longer. Some of their wash equipment has not been working for several weeks now. The other day their soap was more water than soap. Half the vacuums are broken and or clogged. Their rinse is not adequate to remove the soap. I get water spots are areas that are not hand dried. Done...! The last Time I went in the soap did not dispense, and the scrubbers didn't oscillate. I went back through the line again and told the guy. He allowed me to go through again, and they worked. Minutes ago, I went through the car wash again, and again, no soap and the scrubbers didn't scrub. I love the owner's concept and appreciate that I can get a member sticker and that all I have to do is drive up chose my extras. I also love that I don't need a code for the vacuum, the other car wash in Galt you need a code, so don't lose your paper. Sometimes they have the blue wash in spray bottles. The stuff is amazing on my glass! Just bring extra towels to toss for the interior! Or do what I do and bring a cloth glass cleaner cloth. read more

This is not the closest car wash to my home, but I always come here because they do a great job overall. They have a guy doing a pre-scrub on your front grill, lower sides and windows. The wash itself seems pretty standard, but at the end there is a person ready to dry off the portions of your car that did not fully dry in the blower section. This saves me from parking, getting out and drying my own car. Also the vaccums are not on a timer like our other wash location is, so you can take as long as you need to get a good job done. read more

I've been going consistently got the last 4 weeks and I love this spot. It's super conveniently located, and it is set up well- to pull in, vacuum in WIDE spaces. I have been going to Big Sponge for several years now. I am very excited that they now have a monthly membership that allows me to get unlimited carwashes. The place is conveniently located right off the freeway. On the weekends the line can get pretty long but they do their best to get everyone through quickly. Luckily I have Fridays off so I usually go then to avoid the lines. With the membership its nice because I get through pretty quickly. Everyone is very friendly and I like that they hand dry your car at the end. They always do a good job and pay attention to detail. They also offer free vacuums and cleaner for various projects. I bring my own towels to wipe down the inside of my doors, etc but if you ask they will let you use some of their towels. On a recent visit, I am petty sure it was the owner, came around to everyone to thank them for their business. It added a nice personal touch. read more

It is with regret that I have to respond to a local business that I patronize often informing them that they have lost a loyal customer for good. On August 5th I went to the car wash as I do every other week to have my vehicle cleaned and as always, I purchased the Big Dawg Wash. Upon entering the wash bay I asked if the young man would spray the wheel wells of my vehicle, a Honda Pilot. I was met with an exaggerated eye roll and a "yup." I requested the spraying of the wheel wells because the same dirt is there after three (3) washes at this car wash, the only wash I've ever used on this vehicle. I tipped one dollar when I entered as I always do, however, the young man did not spray the wheel wells as requested even though he agreed to do so with his "yup" response and eye roll. The dirt is still there, after my fourth (4) wash at Big Sponge. The car wash was not busy, there was no one behind me waiting in line and there was one vehicle that had just gone through before me. There was a female and two males in the wash bay and a female and male wiping the exiting vehicles down. I always tip one dollar in the wash bay and one dollar outside after the vehicle is wiped down. This costs me $13 every two weeks, $26 per month, $312 per year... And I have a second vehicle that gets washed there just as often, so that can be doubled. I just cannot continue to pay for subpar and rude service, regardless of the fact that it is a local business. Any attempt at offering a free wash or other service will be met with a "thanks but no thanks response." I will go to Elk Grove or Lodi for a wash from now on. With regret, Josh P.S. My experience here has been very positive setting up my account at the kiosk was super easy getting any changes made is also super easy you don't have to subscribe to the most expensive membership if you don't want to because you always get the option to upgrade before you go through the entrance but I did sign up for the $25 a month plan and it is really good the service is excellent and they even drive your car for you although I prefer to do it myself because I can look at anything that might different. This place is a really good value for the cost and the customer service is just extraordinarily helpful I highly recommend it in, don't waste your time at Gillys , Big Sponge is much better And you don't have to scan a receipt code to use the vacuums they are always just on and also this location provides windshield cleaning solution so it's just a really good option for those who like me or a little more hands-on when they have their car washed. read more

This car wash would be one of the few reasons I wish I still worked in Galt!! No car wash in Sac compares to this one. I think it's actually called Big Dog now, as the sign really when I pulled up. Plus, I got the "Big Dog" wash for just $7. I also purchased the special polish for just $2 extra. The staff are young and very helpful! They had smiles on their faces and I'm sorry that can be hard to come by with teens these days. I recently went to Quick Quack in Rancho Cordova and I sat there wishing I was at Big Dog. This is the only drive-through car wash I go to, I usually wash my own at a self service place. But, this place is pretty awesome. JD has the best customer service I've ever seen at a car wash. I don't often ask folks for their names, but I asked him for his because I've never seen such amazing customer service.
