Due to battery failure, AAA assigned Ellison's company, my car and I were under the sun with hot weather, I contacted Ellison's them directly, a person named Ana responded the phone, I asked for an ETA because I wanted to coordinate the timing so I could go walking to find some water to drink, she was very rude, I decided to stay in the hot car, I called again asking for an update, she was rude again and hang up the phone. Definitely a deficient customer service. I've seen trucks from Ellison's Towing around Bay Area freeways for more than a decade, but never had occasion to use their services until Thursday, December 27, when I walked out to my car and couldn't get it to start. First thing I did was call the dealership that has been servicing my car to see if I could bring it in and then I called AAA. I wasn't sure what the problem was, and so I thought they would probably either give me a jump so I could drive to the dealership or tow me over there to get the car checked out. I was pleasantly surprised when a truck from Ellison's arrived (not a tow truck), and the first thing the driver (Hans Werner) did was run a quick diagnostic on my car's electrical system. Within a couple of minutes Hans was able to confirm that my battery was at the end of its useful life, but that the rest of my electrical system was in good shape. At this point, he told me I could get a tow to the dealership, but that the wait time would be 1-2 hours. Alternatively, however, AAA could send another truck and they could replace my battery on the spot. I took the second option, and about thirty minutes later a second truck from Ellison's arrived. The driver, Andres Ramirez, was efficient, friendly, and helpful (just like Hans!) -- he repeated the diagnostic that Hans had run, then removed my old battery and replaced it with a new one. I was good to go in about 15 minutes. I'm so grateful for the quick, efficient, and helpful service provided by both Hans and Andres -- they got me on the road and saved me an unnecessary trip to the dealership. I am very pleased with Ellison's Towing services. I was helped by Curtis, who was so good natured and helpful. I felt comfortable, found him genuine and likable, and trusted him with my car. He was careful to securely fasten my mini onto his truck, which I appreciated. He came earlier than I could have even hoped for, which I SUPER appreciated. I was stuck on Black Friday with a blown tire and without a tow, and I needed to get my car to the shop by 2pm. My car was 20 minutes away from my shop preference. My insurance company gave me an estimated time of arrival of "about 1:40pm", which could mean a number of things. If the tow person wanted to, they could have waited to come by at exactly 1:40pm. They could have gotten to me at 1:50pm or 2pm, and this could still be "about 1:40pm." I was SO happy that Ellison's Towing exceeded timing expectations, and they came to help me well before the expected time arrival. I was wide-mouth smiling when I saw a tow truck pull up, like seeing your present drive up to you. Because they got to me so early, my car made it to the shop at 2pm. It took time for Curtis to safely secure my car onto his tow truck, and had he arrived any later I would have been without a usable car that day. Hello, My car Toyota Campy was towed by this company on 06/28/23 by mistake. An apartment's manager called this company without sending any notes out to ask asking who belonged this car. I was first in shock to find out that my car was not on the parking lot. Then my friends and I found out that my car was taken by this company by the manager's error. They charged me $300 me for the wrong towing. Then we waited for a long time to get an access to my car since they were very slow. Then I got another shock when my car could not start at all for hours . Their people tried to start but nothing happened even though my car has a new battery and a starter. We called AAA to come to get my car out of their parking lot because they would charge more money for my car staying there . While waiting for AAA for 2 hours we had been watching how truck drivers treated cars without owners presence. After sitting in friend's car ,waiting , and praying for 2 hours AAA came to get me . However, I decided first to try again to start my car and it finally started so that I canceled AAA service. I started driving home while it was still working and I noticed that my GPS that was before mounted on the front glass now on the car's floor. I tried to use it but it was dead dead since there was not connection with satellite anymore . After being in horrible shock of all of these issues for hours it came to me that my front glass is broken and has a line across the window. It is absolutely obvious that they dropped my car from their truck so hard that connection in the car was damaged , GPS sensors got damaged, and front glass got cracking line now . They even did not apology for these problems. I had very bad experience with them, don't care about people cars , not being considerate , just ignorant. read more

I had a great experience with Hans Werner, who came from Ellison's Towing when Tesla Roadside assistance arranged for my car wheel to be changed on the freeway. It was a great experience, as Hans was very knowledgeable, very thoughtful in checking the other wheels and voluntarily escorted me to the tire shop, knowing the other wheel may get into trouble. I give 5 stars to Hans for his great attitude and support. The police officer Mr. Bautista, (I think, I got his name right) who helped me get to the safe place, he was so kind. I will start by leaving the information that I did for AAA regarding a car battery that would not hold a charge and should be under warranty by AAA. Apparently AAA and roadside service don't work together on getting things resolved. It they come and it can be jumped then they said it is a good battery. But what happens is if you don't drive it for a day, it's dead. It will charge but that's not supposed to be how a battery works. I guess they want me to waste my times waiting for AAA to come and jump it every other day. Her is the story. also , don't buy a AAA battery and think your getting a warranty. Had the best service experience of my life with Ellison's Towing. I was driving on the highway when I hit a sharp object and popped one of the tires on my Rav-4. I was on the way to my brothers wedding at the time and was dismayed I would miss the event. Even worse, it was 10:30 at night so I knew that it was unlikely I would be able to get a repair until the next day. When I called AAA they dispatched Jose Ramirez to help with the situation. Jose arrived promptly and quickly got to work helping rectify the situation. He was able to help me put on the spare within 10 minutes and even was able to list several repair shops in the area that were open later. One of the shops was miraculously willing to fix my car that night and I was on my way to the wedding. Jose was incredibly knowledgeable, careful, and courteous through the entire experience. I contacted AAA and Ellison Towing was sent to view my car and problem they sent Curtis Castro what a young, wonderful and inspiring person he is. Mr Castro inform me everything would work out fine we discovered it was my starter. Mr Castro then took me to my location where my starter was previously installed and was under warranty as we drove we had a great conversation he told me about how he enjoyed his job. Trust me had he not been happy employed with Ellison Towing, I surely would have asked him if he had administrative skills and would have hired him on the spot! I've used Ellison's Towing on several occasions, as they are a AAA affiliated business and I am a AAA Premier member. The most recent experience was excellent as always! Two of my car's tires were almost flat due to screws, so I called AAA road service, and within 15 minutes of my call, Carlos Nerimora arrived driving a flat bed tow truck (the best kind, in my opinion, as your car will be protected from road rash etc. by being up on the flat bed behind the cab). This tow truck has a built in air compressor and after Carlos and I talked a few minutes, I decided to have him inflate all four tires to a much higher poundage so I could drive to Redwood General Tire in Redwood City nearby (see my recent review for the rest of the story). It was Carlos who reminded me that this great business was not far away (I had purchased tires there in the past for different cars), a great recommendation! Carlos is very friendly and helpful, and when we first began talking he said he could advise me but that it was ultimately my decision about what to do (inflate the tires as I requested, or put on my spare tire which made less sense because more than one tire was almost flat). His great judgement and the kindness I received was very important. I'm an older woman who knows something about cars, and Carlos treated me with respect, which doesn't always happen to women in these instances. Thanks again, Carlos. I'll be sure to ask for you every time I need assistance from AAA! Omg. To say that this was by far the easiest/fastest lock out service I've ever received would be an understatement. AAA quoted me an eta of 1 hour and within 5 minutes Oliver had called me and said he would be here in 10 minutes or less. I had a flat after a road trip, and was looking to get a tow to the nearest dealership for a fix. I called AAA, was quoted 45 minutes until someone came, and Oliver from Ellison's was there 15 minutes early. He helped me get the car out of the underground garage and diagnosed the flat. The tire was fully deflated, but after filling it up from the truck, the tire was losing air slowly enough that it was safe to drive to the dealership down the road, avoiding the need for a full tow.
