Called to have my vehicle towed at 10:15 at night. We have been a AAA Plus member for 5+ years. Called and gave information on my wife's card to have the car towed to the shop from our home with a brake or suspension issue. Dispatcher asked if we wanted to use my car or my wife's and I told her my wife's and explained that she was in bed. Truck arrives, employee CARLOS SALAZAR in a dirty uniform asks me questions about why the car is being towed and i explained to him. HE DOESN'T WANT TO TOW THE CAR and starts asking more questions about the issues. It's nearly 11:00 pm and I tell him to take the car to the shop as we requested.Because he doesn't want to tow the car he makes my wife get out of bed, show him ID from our home address and makes her sign a slip that they don't even use any more. We pay a lot of money for a service that we have used once in the last year. This is what happens when you pay drivers by the hour. There is no incentive to work. A good tow truck driver is worth their weight in gold. This guy should start collecting aluminum cans. Nothing else out there for him I'm sure You would be best off calling Action Towing. read more

I caught a flat today and had those lug nuts that require a key to unlock. I bought my car used and couldn't find it. It looked like I was going to not be able to find it and would have needed to get towed (not my ideal situation given that I have work in the morning). I had a flat with Tesla model S and Tesla customer service told me to expect the wait from their approved service between 1 to 3 hours, suddenly I got a phone call from Patrick (Ellison's Towing) that he will be there within 20 minutes. It was unbelievable, but I still have to abandon my car and get a ride to my office for urgent meeting. Patrick informed me when he arrived next to my car so I can remotely unlock the car. A vintage Jaguar's electronic brakes would not release. The only option was to be towed to the dealer, 12 miles away. EXCELLENT customer service! It was assigned to Ellison's towing company through AAA today when I locked my keys out of my car. In less than half an hour Carlos arrived and was so nice about trying to get my door unlocked. My car is older and it is not an easy car to get into. Carlis remain patient and work hard until the job was done. There was a small issue with some damage to the windshield of my car which Carlos quickly acknowledged and apologized for. Considering how difficult my car was and how it took a while to get it open, I was just happy to get inside. He made sure that any damage to my car would be quickly taken car of. I then had a quick follow-up phone call from supervisor Jessica (? or Jennifer, just forgot... facepalm) who worked with me all day on a Sunday to make sure the issue was resolved. Can't say enough about how kind and professional these folks are. Carlos and Jessica made my weekend great! It could've been a terrible situation but they were really nice to work with. I was in an accident on El Camino Real and Ellison's towing was called by the police department. I was hit so hard that my airbags deployed and my car was not drivable. I was literally shaking and in tears when the tow truck driver asked me if I wanted my car be taken to the tow yard. No fees or price was mentioned and I was in no state of mind to be thinking clearly enough to ask. I later found out that the daily storage rate is $50 per day plus additional "lien fees" kick in after 72 hours, and because I had the vehicle towed to the tow yard instead of my home the tow price was $250 instead of a free AAA tow (I have AAA). While their daily storage rate is reasonable and they have the right to charge whatever fees they want, it is absolutely *predatory* that they took advantage of someone in my state after a serious accident. read more
