Called Elroy 3 times and he was very patient with me on the phone. I dropped my car off same day and walked over to Mcdonalds (10 min walk) to wait for it. From 9:30-3ish they replaced my brakes, windshield wipers, and performed an oil change. I really liked his customer service! These guys saved our vacation, and possibly our lives. We were about 1500 miles into our road trip when he brakes started making a scary grinding noise. I called Elroy's and explained the situation and they said they could fix it for us that same day if we could bring it in in the next hour. We did so and then went to Hyperspace arcade nearby to wait (also highly recommended by the way if you like vintage games!) Turned out the car was really messed up - the rear brakes were totally rusted and it turned into this big project for them, but they kept their promise and got all the work done for us by that evening! They even found a whole other issue while test driving the car - another part that was completely rusted that would've caused our car to lock up and spin out when it finally seized, which it was in the process of doing. They replaced that as well for us, only charging for the part and not the labor. They went way above and beyond, almost certainly prevented us from getting in a wreck, gave us a great deal on the parts and repairs, and got us back on the road in time for us to make it to our hotel in Taos only a couple hours later than planned. Seriously the best experience I have ever had with an auto mechanic. They got me in and out in about 35 minutes. Never tried to add on additional services or up-charges. Had extremely reasonable prices ($45 for an alignment on 4WD SUV!!) And explained everything I needed to know about what they did and why they did it. Highly recommend these guys, the only place I'll take my vehicles from now on, have an Audi and a Dodge Diesel, Bess the owner, has worked on both for me. Had an issue with my truck witch is also my business, I'm a remodel contractor. Long story short, I took it to a competitors shop, because I thought that the problem had to do with something he worked on, before I met Bess, they quoted me a ridiculous amount of money. I explained the problem to Bess, they were very busy as usual, but told me to have it towed to him and he would get right to it. Had the truck towed there, they ordered the parts and got it right back to me, at literally half the price the other guy wanted for the same work and then some. As with my Audi, pricey car to have worked on, unfortunately have had some issues, thou Elroy's have always charged me very reasonable prices for everything they worked on, every time. It was Saturday... I was traveling through on my way to Oklahoma, and thankfully someone I called recommended Elroy's. Another mechanic had already struggled to determine what my problem was, but Elroy's showed tremendous knowledge and customer service. They were very cautious to uphold all Covid guidelines, and they quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and had me back on the road in less than an hour. I entrusted Elroy's Alignment and Brakes with the rebuild of my 2009 Subaru Forester and this mistake cost me. I picked up my vehicle on November 15, 2016. The repairs included a "long block" and a "complete rebuild of engine" with a "2 year or 24,000 mile warranty." The odometer read 90,000 at time of service. The odometer read 104, 846 when I experienced a malfunction with my engine on October 24, 2018. I contacted them on this day to notify them that there was an issue with my engine; within both parameters of the warranty. Due to my relocation to Michigan, Besmillah stated that I would be able to take it to another shop for diagnostics. I had it towed on October 28, 2018. It was determined that the bolt belonging to the timing belt kit supplied by Gates Cooperation was broken and had caused the problem. Besmilah informed me that this was not covered under warranty; however, when I spoke directly with Bill from Gates Cooperation with pictures for proof, he sent me a warranty claim form on November 2, 2018 and he assured me that this part was covered and emailed me a warranty claim form. I completed this form to the best of my ability and highlighted a few sections for Besmillah to complete. I sent this information to him on November 5, 2018. I still have yet to receive the information needed to complete the form, most importantly, proof of purchase for the timing belt kit. On November 19, 2018, I contacted WAWD and Deb informed me that they had no record of purchase from Elroy's Alignment during the months from October through November 2016 when my vehicle was at their facility. This was the company that Besmillah had told me the parts were purchased. This was not the case. At this time, I do not trust that the parts listed on my invoice are new. There are NO part numbers listed and no proof of purchase of any of the items. Without a complete invoice, I have no proof that the parts in my engine are new. According to the Colorado Motor Vehicle Repair Act, the invoice needs to include an "itemization of charges, taxes, service and handling, shop supplies and materials along with part descriptions (name and number) and whether new oem, new non-OEM, used, reconditioned or rebuilt and the charge for each part. The invoice MUST BE LEGIBLE and a copy given to the customer. The facility must retain a copy of the customer invoice for THREE YEARS" (https://www.colorado.aaa.com/automotive/colorado-motor-repair-act). The invoice that I received does not include any part numbers, prices, or warranty information. I have tried to obtain proof of purchase for the timing belt kit by Gates Cooperation from Elroy's Alignment and Brakes without success. I also filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau with no response from Elroy's Alignment and Brakes. All I was asking for was proof of purchase and they were not able to provide this information and instead made excuses and ignored any attempts at communication. They did not honor the warranty which cost me time and money. I would not recommend them based on my experience. read more

The shop is very busy, and for good cause. Not located in the best neighborhood, they do good work, and for much less than other places. Very trustworthy, and don't pad anything. I was quoted $2000 by Big O for a front end repair, and looked elsewhere. A friend recomended Elroys, and SO I went in for a quote. Their quote was for $400, and that was with premium parts. Their Rep proceeds them, I went in and had to wait 20 minutes for a mecganic to look at my vehicle. That might be a bit long, but they were swamped, and with price differences like the ones I mentioned, they are swamped for good reasn. read more

This is a great shop! I actually drive down from evergreen, figure what I spend in gas is more than saved by their honesty and great prices. Now they're not flight attendants, but they're still friendly as mechanics go. And honest. Get here early (especially for alignment) as they fill up fast (ppl know the secret!). They also have a sitting room with a tv. Its kinda grungy but don't worry.. you won't get your suit dirty. And who needs some fancy fake plant in the corner anyhow!? I called around to get my power steering pump replaced. Must have called a dozen local shops, and everybody gave me an estimate of between $300 and $400 dollars (parts + labor). I needed an alignment on a Mercury Mariner Hybrid and was recommended by Mark Greene Automotive Repair to go to Elroy for the alignment as he does good work. had an appointment a few days later and Elroy took about 45 min to do the alignment. They gave me a print out and explained the difference between the before the alignment and after the alignment and how much they had to correct and what the out of alignment would do to the tires. This was very helpful information and wish every shop would do this.Will use Elroy again. read more

I was finally able to talk to "Bob" who then proceeded to chastise me for coming in late at 9:30 am, as though I was one of his employees. His attitude was poor and the manner in which spoke to me was condescending. His explanation of how I needed to be at his shop 5 minutes before opening was the only way to get service was the worst example of customer service I have ever seen. Don't mind the surroundings when you walk in. These guys get after it and do great work. I had some struts that needed to be replaced on the front and they guy who actually does the work recommended that I go ahead and replace the rears as well. Boy was I glad. He showed me the ones that he took out from the back and when you compressed them, they didn't even spring back. My car literally feels like a new car. I can corner faster and I don't feel the bumps anymore. They saved me thousands of dollars! I have a Hybrid Tahoe and was experiencing what I believed to be a misfiring of the engine. First it was taken to a highly regarded Hybrid specialist shop in North Denver. After diagnosing it they informed me I would need a new engine to the tune of $5,800. I opted to get a second opinion and brought it to Elroys where they diagnosed it as an electrical issue. They repaired the damaged ground wire and I received it back in two days at a cost of $330.00.
