Established in 2021.

We started Elves Magical Lights in 2021. We wanted to start a business that provides a sense of easement during the holidays for your family. We bring the MAGIC into your kids' eyes that you once saw when you were little. Christmas has always been our favorite holiday, and we really enjoy lighting up others' homes.

I lived in Bentonville from 2002 to 2006 and return often to visit family and friends. It's been…read moreinteresting to see this town develop and grow as a result of Walmart and the people who moved here to work for Walmart or who work for vendors and suppliers that service Walmart. I could go with the "I remember when this was all farmland" but let's just say that this is the most cosmopolitan small city in the "Flyover States." Downtown Bentonville has pubs and bars and restaurants and retail shopping. This year, they have an ice skating rink with an actual Zamboni. There is public art and free modern parking decks and a world-class art museum (that's free to visit!). I learned that Bentonville is a mountain biking capital thanks to the investment of the Walton family to build trails throughout Northwest Arkansas. And tiny XNA that used to be Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is now Northwest Arkansas NATIONAL Airport with regular commercial service to far away hubs including MSP and PHX and LGA and even FLL and MIA! The former US Highway 71 that was upgraded to Interstate 540 is now Interstate 49 and it connects I-40 with I-44 from Fort Smith to Joplin. Amazing! This evening, I had a chance to walk around the Bentonville Square which is all lit up for Christmas. What a great little city and well worth a visit! When I questioned this, I was told that drip irrigation in a planter of individual plants was not a proper application. No response when I asked them what a "proper application" for drip was in their opinion. They "tried" to fix their mess and were wholly unable to do so. When I had the system removed, we found the reason. Multiple spaghetti lines from one emitter. Surprisingly, all the water was going to the downslope plant and the upslope plants died. Who would have guessed? If you think saving a few dollars over an actual skilled company is worth it, think again.

We had a very disappointing experience with S&G Carpet…read more The initial installation was extremely poor, staples and nails and screws were left exposed on the carpet and also thrown on the floor (a safety hazard, especially with small children), debris wasn't cleaned up, and there was even a spill that was not disclosed until we pointed it out. The carpet also had to be redone due to workmanship issues, requiring multiple return visits and extending what should have been a straightforward project into several days. (Install was Monday and was finally properly completed on Thursday) While the company eventually sent a different installer to correct the work (2 more times), the process to get there was frustrating. Communication from management was argumentative and combative at times, to the point that I did not feel comfortable meeting alone and asked my husband to be present. The tone of the interaction was noticeably different in person. We ultimately reached a resolution, but it took far more effort than it should have. After spending nearly $8,000, the level of workmanship, professionalism, and overall experience simply did not reflect the value we were promised. I would strongly recommend closely monitoring any work done and documenting everything if you choose to use this company.

Rusted out pool pipe needed replacing. Jerry showed up on time the same day and disconnected…read morepiping. He recommended piping be put underground, being late in the day he showed up the next morning to assess the situation and accused the builder of a 6 year old house that the gas line was 'not up to code'. I contacted the builder concerned who reassured me it was with photos and a video. He then reassessed the situation and determined it was ok then said he would be "right back". He never returned that day. It being day 2 with gas for hot water, i contacted another plumber. I texted him and figured he didn't want the work. He called back and said he still wanted to complete the work, but said he had 'emegencies' that day and forgot to contact me. I said that's fine but i need a fixed bid. He said he could provide an estimate but "didn't know what he was going to find" in the ground. Which is not a "fixed" bid. The new plumber showed up the next assessed the situation and determined that digging was not required and gave me a firm cost. They had my gas back on by the afternoon. Meanwhile, I told Jerry i would pay for the work completed as I felt bad. He showed up to my house without notice and demanded payment then as 'he had to be somewhere'. As I was out i told him i could leave him a check when i got back but couldn't magically appear at that moment. I ended paying Jerry for the 'work' he completed. A nice fellow, but not very focused on the customer's situation. He recommended unnecessary work ( a bunch of needless trenching) and needless anxiety (by suggesting my gas line was not up to code and the house may 'blow up'). And i spent $460 on nothing but grief and a 2 day delay. Wouldn't recommend. Find someone else.
