We had time for some food before our flight back to South Florida, so we went to Elway's that was next to our gate. The time flew by quickly as it was soon time for us to board between ordering cocktails and food. The views of the planes taxing to the gate was soothing as I enjoyed an espresso martini with my bacon burger. The floor to ceiling windows help bring in the natural light as you dine on your meal. This location wasn't far from my gate so I was able to stop by for breakfast before boarding. Party of one seated immediately and greeted quickly by a very friendly waiter! He was super personable and attentive. I had a coffee and the breakfast platter. The food was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The food was ok, the service was good though. They have a to go window almost in the restaurant and if you order from that you're not allowed to sit at their tables(understandably) so the wait staff had to keep asking people to leave which felt a bit awkward especially given that there are signs. Most places say no outside food or drink but people were bringing entire meals. One family ordered 4 waters, went somewhere else and brought back their dinner, then ordered one appy so they could sit there. read more

Having been to all elways locations, including now closed and the larger airport one in terminal B, this was a failure. Dirty glassware, simply cold (not icy) martini with standard off tasting bar olives, wilted salad--and no, I don't think it was intentional. This felt like a cosplay of elways, and an expensive airport interpretation that makes me feel like I should have just made the extra time to go to the other terminal. I ordered the grilled chicken wings and charred red pepper soup. The chicken looked delicious; it was tough and tasteless, the soup was interesting. My server Paul was great. Kept checking on me. Food was good. I had the short rib and a side of broccoli. The short rib was almost like a version of a prime rib. It was tender and flavorful with an aus jus on top of potatoes but it seemed to be missing that trademark red wine reduction sauce. I think that's what's missing from making it phenomenal. The broccoli was, well broccoli. Touch to go wrong. Elway Margarita was decent. I'm from San Diego so relatively it was great being in Denver but not as good as they are in SD. Overall for airport food it was excellent. One of the best I've had. I recommend this place and again I had a great server Paul. read more

Two visits a few months apart: June 2025 - The beef tacos are amazing: they use the trimmings from the steaks. These are almost cheesesteak tacos. I think this may be a better choice than the burger. - M got the burger with the over-easy egg. It was messy, but he thought it was very good. - R got the steak salad once again. As with last time, the piece of fillet they made is amazing. I think the dressing for the salad is fantastic. It is a sort of garlic aïoli that might remind you of a Caesar dressing, perhaps. Or maybe a pepper Parmesan? - The onion rings remain good. This time around, I think I would have liked them cooked a little bit more; some of the onion was a bit softer than I would like. It is once again a fairly generous portion when you consider the size of the rest of the plates. - This place is fairly expensive, but all things considered, I think worth it if you are looking for a sit down in an airport as opposed to something fast on the run. It was $230 including tip for three of us. October 2024 - Steak salad: R is pleased even though they dressed the salad instead of putting the dressing on the side. I agree. The base is mostly arugula and it is a delicious blend particularly with the sun-dried tomatoes. The piece of fillet they paired with it was absolutely fantastic. - The "Smashburger" is not what you think of as a classic Smashburger; this is actually just a regular large eight or 9 ounce burger patty that someone squished a little bit, but not very much. That said, the ground beef blend is very good. Not to the level of R's custom-made ground beef blend, but worth being in the same conversation. Burger served medium rare, totally fell apart, but worth it. - The onion rings are thin to medium cut. They are actually cooked as a seasoned tempura. Would order again. The portion is expensive at $17, but is fairly generous. read more

TL;DR: Recommended will repeat. It is a nice airport bar. Upholstery is upscale and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Bartenders are in need of a good customer service class. listened to them chew over all there co workers and supervisors, complain about schedules, etc. paying no attention to their patrons except at their convenience. sat at bar only two others had to wave them done to take my order. at the time I wanted to eat something before I drank so I asked for water. After eating I asked for a cocktail. they asked for my id which is my drivers license which expired on my Sept birthday. TSA said it was good for 2 years as just an ID and encouraged me to get it renewed. But ok to use as ID only. Bartender said he was unable to serve me with expired drivers license even though my picture ID has all the info he needs and told by TSA it was a good picture ID until renewed. Sorry for the rant, but proper customer service period is so absent from our culture these days had to share. Overall great atmosphere in a good location in A concourse. This location is at the airport, terminal A, in between gate A19-A18. We were quickly seated. In 35 minutes, we were seated, ordered, got our food and paid. I'm always leery of airport food. This was excellent. It was the same cost as a regularly outside restaurant. We got a house salad which was a decent size. The artichoke dip, which was EXCELLENT. I was honestly shocked. It came with warm tortilla chips that were perfectly salted and toasted slices of bread. My husband got the mushroom burger and he loved it. A great experience. read more

Came here after having a good experience at Elways in concourse B. Brought my family since we had a few hour delay (hoping to be comfortable during our delay). Not only are the tables so close together you will not be comfortable, but the menu is so reduced... you get sandwiches or breakfast. $24 for a burger and if you want fries, $11 more for that. Drinks took over 15 minutes to be brought to the table each time we ordered. Skip this place as your money is better spent elsewhere. read more

Wow we were not expecting such great food and service for an airport! Elway's terminal A is the place you have to eat! I had the red pepper soup which was great when you are tired and cold, and my husband had the most out of the world steak tacos that had the most amazing flavor, feel, and balance. The tortillas they used were soft and fluffy and sort of melted in your mouth. It held the tacos together great.
