    Breakfast platter

This location wasn't far from my gate so I was able to stop by for breakfast before boarding. Party of one seated immediately and greeted quickly by a very friendly waiter! He was super personable and attentive. I had a coffee and the breakfast platter. The food was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I really appreciate the service and the quality and promptness of the food coming out. I'll definitely come back.

The food was ok, the service was good though. They have a to go window almost in the restaurant and if you order from that you're not allowed to sit at their tables(understandably) so the wait staff had to keep asking people to leave which felt a bit awkward especially given that there are signs. Most places say no outside food or drink but people were bringing entire meals. One family ordered 4 waters, went somewhere else and brought back their dinner, then ordered one appy so they could sit there.

Having been to all elways locations, including now closed and the larger airport one in terminal B, this was a failure. Dirty glassware, simply cold (not icy) martini with standard off tasting bar olives, wilted salad--and no, I don't think it was intentional. This felt like a cosplay of elways, and an expensive airport interpretation that makes me feel like I should have just made the extra time to go to the other terminal. Service was fine, server was friendly. But again, and comparison is a thief of joy, but I have had much better food and experiences in their full service DIA location.

On 21 October 2025, I ordered food from Elway's Taproom & Grill. The absolute best thing about this restaurant was the superb service provided by the hostess/waiter. I ordered the grilled chicken wings and charred red pepper soup. The chicken looked delicious; it was tough and tasteless, the soup was interesting. I tried something new; I can now say I tried charred red pepper soup. The ambiance is absolutely inviting!!! The amber backdrop sign is what drew me to it.

My server Paul was great. Kept checking on me. Food was good. I had the short rib and a side of broccoli. The short rib was almost like a version of a prime rib. It was tender and flavorful with an aus jus on top of potatoes but it seemed to be missing that trademark red wine reduction sauce. I think that's what's missing from making it phenomenal. The broccoli was, well broccoli. Touch to go wrong. Elway Margarita was decent. I'm from San Diego so relatively it was great being in Denver but not as good as they are in SD. Overall for airport food it was excellent. One of the best I've had. I recommend this place and again I had a great server Paul.

Food and service was great. The cocktail was so strong I couldn't even finish it. Lol there was plenty of seating and it wasn't very loud. Def worth checking out if you have a little time to spare.

This is the menu that the restaurant gave us late May 2026

Extremely attentive staff, comfy seating right next to our gate. Food flavor profile was excellent, although the steak in my sandwich was a bit crumbly it was still really good. Price is a little more expensive but that's the price you pay for a nice restaurant ambience over crowded noisy food courts at airports

Could not have had a better experience. My burger was amazing. My server was amazing. The wine was so good. Yes it's a little pricey, but I had a terrific experience and you should absolutely give it a try.

Good food, good drinks, and great service. This is more of a limited menu place, but it's a good option for a bar in concourse A

Small location but excellent food and drink at the Denver airport. Expensive. Sandwiches don't come with a side.

Like most hotel bars, the drinks and food can be expensive, but the bartenders are on point with the cocktails. Their smoked old-fashioned drinks were good, the Negronis were very crushable, as was its bourbon cousin, the Boulevardier. The shrimp appetizer that my wife ordered was also very good, and a nice starter before we had dinner at the English Pub. It's a good spot to experience sunsets as you knock back a drink or two, or watch the night sky, so long as it's not overcast or raining. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone staying at or visiting the resort.

In the first few minutes of her greeting us she was so bubbly, kind, and welcoming. Let me start by saying my food experience would've left me giving no stars if I could, but because our server was the goddess she is - I had to upgrade to 5 stars. I ordered the steak frites med rare with sweet potato fries. The first dish took about 45 mins to an hr to come out. I thought, the airport is a busy place it's not a big deal. Unfortunately, when I finally got my food it was very cold. Everything on tasted like it has been sitting there for the whole 45 mins. I let our server know and she immediately apologizes and gets it remade for me. The second time it comes out (now well over an hour since I ordered initially), it's overcooked. Looked like they simply put it back on the grill, but I could be wrong. At this point my partner has already ordered and eaten two separate dishes while I was starving. Whitney felt really bad and I told her I was going to just get food somewhere else and not to worry. Not only did she take it off the bill without me asking, but they came back and gave me a THIRD steak I didn't request. Unfortunately, it came with the wrong fries and no chimichurri. The steak was cooked med-rare as asked so I did end up eating that part. There were also no carrots. She then comes back with a dessert and a healthy magnesium drink on the house to take with me. I mean cmon, talk about fantastic service! I feel service in general has really gone down since covid, but there are still amazing people who seem to really care about what they do and she's one of them. That's what legit customer service is all about and you bet your ass we overtipped her! Bad things can happen, but if you know how to show your customers you care that's all that matters and instead of leaving with a negative outlook on my first visit to Rootdown- I'd actually give it another chance. That's why I'm giving 5 stars instead of 1. Rootdown--give that woman a raise! Steak frites- even when the steak was finally cooked properly, it was mediocre and the accompanying sauces did not complement it well. The fries are also soggy. 4/10 Duck wings 7/10 good flavor but kinda dry Den Sammy 7/10 partner said it was a really good portion size and tasty.

The lounge has pretty good food options and a nice bar full service bar. The seating area has a view of the tarmac and of the gate areas in terminal A. During peak times the lounge can get pretty packed so if you're a Venture X card holder you can add your name to the waitlist on the capital one app to save some time.

I've been a VentureX customer since they…read moreannounced the lounge, waited a long time for it to not open and not open and not open, finally got in within the first week, loved it for a bit, and it's just gone downhill ever since. They created a "premium" lounge and then have spent the past year eliminating as many of their customers as they can. Wut? I have visited the Denver Cap1 lounge over 30 times. I travel a lot, often for business, and often early. I've been the first person in the door more times than I can count. In 2026, Cap1 has refused me entry more times than it's let me in, and I'm done with them. I got the card for this lounge and now I'm leaving CapitalOne entirely. Back when it was decent/they still allowed guests to enter with card members (that's over now, it's like $65 or something for your partner/secondary card holder to get in!), there were still a lot of issues that have only gotten worse over time. The plumbing was bad from the start. Toilets would back up and fail to flush and I repeatedly had employees tell me that happens all the time. They have huge chairs that sit 4 around a table that could otherwise fit 8. Layout of the lounge isn't conducive to solo travelers - more space should have been allocated for business travel, but instead they prioritized family type seating... and then they banned families. Most recently they have refused me service repeatedly. It's busy on a wait and I have a flight, can I just take food to go? No. I have a redeye well after they're closed for the day, can I come in at 8 or 8:30 and get food/bev and to go food? No, my flight has to be "during the same business day". It boards at 11:09pm, but apparently the business day ends at 9pm for Cap1. Nicely played! They lost my sister when they banned families and have now lost me as a customer for life. They don't want our business anymore so I'm happy to oblige, close the card I opened for access to this lounge, and go spend my premium card dollars elsewhere. After they denied me entry ahead of my redeye (the lounge was at best 1/4 full, there was no practical reason for them to deny me entry) I walked out and canceled my card. They keep telling me to F off so I finally heard them - I'm outie, y'all! BYEEEEE FELICIA!

We had picked out a few places ahead of time, but they ended up being further away than we wanted. We walked in here and sat ourselves at the bar. Service was fast, friendly and frequent. The person behind the bar was super attentive, we never wanted for anything. I am writing this review to help myself remember that I definitely want to come back here on future Denver airport visits. I was just looking for a snack and decided on the wok fried edamame. As a person with restrictive dietary needs, I eat a lot of edamame. Usually it is just something high in protein that fills me up and is kind of fun to eat. Here it was so delicious. I insisted my partner try some and he was in complete agreement. This is the best edamame I have ever had in my life. It had great sauce, a great citrus salt and was wok fried. I could have eaten 2 orders of this. I asked my partner if he thought he could recreate this at home, I asked the bartender about how they prepared it to make it so delicious. If you need a tasty snack do stop here for this, but this is also a great place to get a to go drink, which I guess is a thing at the Denver airport. I chose this restaurant because they had Asian food and the menu looked really good. The restaurant itself was really busy as it had a bar inside. Plus they were showing the Stanley cup hockey games so I decided to order to go. Staff was not really friendly at the front desk but I did not let that deter me. I placed my order for pad Thai and the pork belly buns. I waited. And waited. And waited. Didn't hear them. Call my name so I went to check at the host desk to see if my order is ready as it was at least 30 minutes. Then they said that my food was ready and quickly obtained it and gave it to me. I was a little just worried and didn't try calling my name or anything as I was waiting right there in front of the host desk. When I opened up my food containers, pork belly buns looked really delicious and smelled delicious. When I open the pad tie container I was rather disappointed as there were nuts all over the bowl. I felt like there was more peanuts than noodles and tofu in here. Plus the flavor of the pad Thai was not right. I've eaten a lot of pad Thai in my time and this dish did not even come close to an authentic pad Thai dish. I did enjoy the pork buns a lot and the coleslaw that they provided was also delicious. The price I paid for these two dishes is not worth it. I did not care for the pad Thai whatsoever. For anyone thinking of ordering it. Take your money elsewhere.
