Blue Sky Bar will do in a pinch... My husband and I find ourselves traveling at the oddest of hours for our holiday vacations. Needless to say we have bellied up to Blue Sky Bar more than a handful of times. The PROs: ++ The bartender's have always bee both friendly and attentive. ++ They're open later than most other bars on the A Concourse at DIA. ++ Adjacent to Quinzos when you need some carbs to prep for your travel day. ++ Late nights in December they're pretty quiet. The CONs: -- There's no true food menu. So don't come too hungry, especially when you have a late flight. You'll be disappointed. -- Bar seating is cramped when you are there during the regular bustling travel seasons/times. Blue Sky Bar will do when you find yourself needing to take the edge off a layover at Denver International Airport. Just keep your expectations in check - and you'll be just fine. **PRO TIP: You can get your drinks to-go when that red-eye flight is cutting it a little to close for comfort. Cheers! read more

thought the staff were nice but after breaking my boyfriends ID after it was already broken and serving us at first they refused to serve us after we returned bc our flight was again canceled for even longer. Matt specifically, who I liked at first, accused me of yelling at him when I asked him for 1 beer for myself even though my ID is in tact. overpriced, rude and unsympathetic. Terminal A. UGH. I always feel like there should be more options? I have ended up grabbing a few brews to start off vacation or kill time before connecting flights at Blue Sky Bar at least a dozen times. Beer list is ok. Pricing is perhaps a bit cheaper then other places on the concourse (by a dollar or so). The view of the planes outside is nice. Overall, a pretty legit spot to kill time at Terminal A. read more

Rude bartender didn't even give me a moment to settle in, with my service dog and my luggage before telling me my dog needed to be placed on the floor. Service dogs are allowed under ADA regulations to be held by the handler and he insisted due to health code she had to be placed on the floor. Blatant disregard for ADA regulations or human decency. read more

The worst service ever! Save your time and money on this place The bartender Jason who we ordered food with was insulting to us and a smart ass, telling us if we didnt order alcohol we shouldnt be at his bar. Manager was no help, just stood and watched it all and said nothing even when we asked him how he could allow this type of behavior. I see other comments here naming this same guy - Obviously not going to be corrected. We are great tippers to the service industry and would have given him a great tip on our food and gladly moved to a table if needed - Instead a ZERO tip for a person who should never interact with the public read more

This is a good spot if your gate is nearby, the bar is decent sized & so is the table sitting area. Its just steps away from a quiznos but you have to order food from there at the bar & then the bartenders bring you your quiznos chow. I really like getting airport drunk & people watching & this is a perfect spot for doing that, the bartenders never let my glass be empty for very long before refilling me. They're friendly folks too, Ive been here before & will continue to get airport drunk & people watch at this 1 as long as its in my terminal near my gate read more

This place sucks even by Denver Airport standards! There was an annoying woman standing at the door to remind you not to expect any service and the protocols due to Covid. The fat bartender was obnoxious and unfriendly. After having a drink here and feeling that I wasn't getting the service I deserved, I decided to just go into town since I had a long layover. Denver isn't exactly the friendliest town and completely infested with the homeless vermin everywhere. I finally found a bar in town where I could get some service and no abuse like this place, but avoid if you don't have to go here. You will not be pleased with the treatment you get here and they close at 6 PM (yes, 6 PM!) read more

Horrible ... I was just at this airport asked the waiter for a recommendation.. he had a horrible attitude, lacked charisma!! Ordered a simple drink. He proceeded to walk away. I continued my conversation on the telephone, only to have the waiter return and say if I was going to have a horrible attitude he was not going to serve me. I asked the waiter what are you talking about. You don't even know who or what I'm talking about. This waiter argued, refused to give his name. Refused to call a manager and refused to serve me. This is horrible service, and wasn't even served. I've visited many fun spots in airports, as a traveling nurse, and this by far has got to be the worst place ever. Tia a shame that they were the only bar that n the A gate of the terminal. I hated having my arm twisted to a place where the service was mediocre, and the drinks seemed like they were watered down. Well guess they can afford to do that. Also there probably would be more room at the bar if the female bartender would assist in cleaning up the glasses. read more

Awful experience. Went in and ordered a Diet Coke and and Quiznos breakfast Sandwich. The bar tender Jason J stood over me and waited for me to give him my card. He told "if all I was going to drink was a Diet Coke and a Quiznos sandwich then I would need to pay my bill and leave the bar open for alcohol drinkers. The bar had several open seats. Hard to support eating establishments with crappy attitudes like this. read more

Great place for drinks, but Jason is horrible. If someone orders something they don't carry, he says "don't have that". Which I would usually find amusing, but it sounds like he just hates people. No suggestion on what they do have, just a rude statement with zero customer service. My drink order is super simple, and I ordered it 20 minutes ago, he has ignored me the whole time and I'm sitting here with nothing. He has helped at least 10 other people instead of just pouring my drink. It must be difficult to find a bartender that can pass a background check for the airport. If the manager or owner listened to him for 5 minutes, they'd fire him on the spot. read more

I suppose there's a good selection of beers. There's no food, but there's a Quiznos next door. So that's not so bad. I'm rating them 2 stars because I'm sitting at the bar (not too busy) 4 bar tenders for about 24 bar stools... And I can NOT get a drink! When I finally got a beer, the tender was not friendly bordering on pretty rude. She asked if I'd please close out because she was clocking off...I put a 10 down on a 7.50 bill and got no change. I'll definitely be avoiding this place from now on. read more

This "bar" is really depressing. And it's attached to a Quiznos. Whenever I'm at DIA, I will definitely avoid this place, as they're quite a few better options nearby. The beer and drink selection is very, um, domestic. Best scotch? Johnny Walker Red -- keep your blends to yourself, bro. I have to feel for the bartenders, though, who have a constant flux of cantankerous, tipsy travelers to deal with. I definitely didn't forget get to tip. read more

Poor service. Bartender is rude and seems like he doesn't wanna be there or serve anyone. Did I mention the employees are rude? They will stereo type you based on what you're wearing.
