She explained the process in full and clearly set expectations of what we could achieve with my hair. She also told me what I could expect after wards. All of which was exactly what I experienced. She also listened to what I wanted to achieve - and I absolutely got what I desired! She is the best. I really don't love going to the hairdresser - but now I do. Keke is so great at what she does! I've been coming to Susan for years now and I always leave satisfied. I recently may a visit after she had remodeled and I love the new vibe. The salon location is the same but they changed the name to Em Hair Studio. It's so cute, spacious, feels luxurious and CLEAN. Which is important during these pandemic times. Despite all the coloring, she somehow manages to keep my hair looking healthy and shiny. I get compliments all the time. My co worker actually tried to pull my hair the other day to check to see if i had extensions on. Susan has done an excellent job balancing my vision with her expertise and navigates the balance between advising what's best for my skin tone and what's healthy for my hair. She is honest, extremely patient, kind and knowledgeable about her craft. I never feel rushed when I come in and she listens to what I hope for, then takes me to the next level. Here I am today, living out the ash blonde dimension I never thought I could pull off. Been coming to Susan for over a year to get my extensions. All I can say is I've never left disappointed with her work. Her assistants are also great and gentle. Those shampoo head massages bring me back and feelingggg relaxed! Susan's like a friend catching up on life. She's efficient and quick which I love cause I need to get in and out l (I can't sit or do anything longer than 2 hours). She also offers goodies and snacks for all the times I come in starving! Lastly I have the worst schedule and she's beyond accommodating and never make me feel quilty or mean about it even though I feel bad. Super easy to make an appointment through her app! I found Andrew while looking through Yelp and Instagram. Texted him the day before and was lucky that he was able to fit me in the next morning. The place is very clean and spacious. I came here on a Sunday so there was plenty of parking. I had given birth to my 2nd baby 6 months ago and during my pregnancy I had long beautiful hair with lots of volume. Sadly after giving birth I started losing TONS of hair and I decided I need to chop it all off. Besides, it will be easier to manage because my baby now likes to grab onto things, including my hair (whatever left of it..lol!!) This 5 stars review is for Andrew. He is very professional and knowledgeable. He and his boss Susan are specialized on doing balayage. While making appointment with Susan needs to be 3 months in advance, making appointment with Andrew needs to be 2-3 weeks in advance. I kept an eye on Andrew's Instagram for a while, and I can tell his work keeps improving. I spent 5 hours with him for my balayage in ash brown. I dyed my hair blue black a few months ago, and he was able to transform my hair into the color that I want. He spends as much time as it takes to make sure I know exactly what he will do to my hair, and what outcome we're going for. He has tons of photos to show me, and will examine all the photos I bring in, too. 2. They are stacked with snacks!! A couple times he'll cut fruit for me while my hair is processing. This fall, they had complimentary delicious carrot cake. You can have cup noodles if you're into that. 3. The COLOR! My favorite was when I went brunette-blonde ombré, with pink peekaboo highlights towards the nape of my neck. I found Susan on Instagram. I looked at every post and watched all the videos. I was impressed with her know how, consistency, integrity and that she shared details of the hair extension process. I had COVID back in August and was experiencing severe hair shedding that started in November. I explained what was happening with my hair to Susan and she consulted with fellow collegues to see if anyone had a client with what I had. She prompted me to meet with a medical professional first to make sure that having hair exensions wouldn't worsen the situation with my hair. I sought care with an acupuncurist and he found that, thankfully, my hair folicles were fine and that getting hair extensions would not impact my regrowth. This really impressed me about Susan. It demonstrated not only her integrity but professionalism. She wasn't about $$$. She wanted what was best for me. My experience at the salon for the installation was stellar. Abbie, her assistant, was attentive, friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Susan nailed my existing hair color and did a flawless job. When I looked in the mirror and saw my transformation I was immediately filled with joy. Susan is so thourough from her intake form to the final outcome. We also had a wonderful conversation about entreprenuership and she shared some helpful tips with me that I have implemented and have been a game changer to my daily schedule.
