It's like visiting a good friend who happens to make a living by giving great haircuts! ‍ Eman's space is located within Sola Studios, which is a sort of "village" of individual personal care businesses (from haircuts and color, to eyebrow threading and nails). His studio can only accommodate one client at a time, so appointments are required; particularly during COVID, this private, one-on-one setup has been of real benefit. I went to eman for a last minute keratin therapy treatment for my hair (i needed an appt that day so i finally bite the bullet and just do it instead of thinking about it too much and cancelling). He was so friendly- he listened to me when I said i would panic if he cut off too much of my hair (don't we all??), but when he trimmed it it was PERFECT. My hair already looked so much healthier even before the keratin treatment, and after the treatment it's flawless. He's super friendly and really really easy to talk to. I got an annoying work call in the middle of all of this, and he quietly continued to work on my hair so I could make it home in time. I always feel great after getting a haircut from Eman!!! Unlike most stylists, he does not impose such a heavy influence when I ask for his help. I appreciate the fact that he gives me enough information to go off of and lets me make the final decision. My hair is dreadfully boring and dull; so when I asked him for his advice/suggestion he recommended that we stick with layers if i didn't want to go the short haircut route. I feel really comfortable when the stylist isn't trying to sell me a million products or influence me on coloring my hair a million colors that would look ridiculous on me. During my visit with him today, I slightly mentioned that I wanted to get my hair colored and asked him what he thought. To my surprise he knew exactly what I DIDN'T want and recommended that I start off with something subtle. I laaaaaaaav it!!!!! YAAAAAAS HUNTY!!! We discussed how an ombre hairstyle is fairly easy to maintain and that I wouldn't have to see him as often for keep up. I've been looking for a hairstylist I like and is easy to get to ever since I moved back to the bay area 4 years ago. I'm so glad that I found Eman. I've decided to donate my hair to the American Cancer Society, which really meant going to a very short cut. I've had long hair almost all my life and have found comfort in familiarity. I emailed Eman beforehand and he was very accommodating. Getting there a little early gave me time to show him pictures of short hairstyles that I like. He didn't give me time to back out of what I committed to do and cut my hair short. It helped that Eman was very reassuring about my to-be new hairstyle while he was cutting away. He promised that I wouldn't look like a soccer-mom, which is always great for a 24 year old. Sure enough, by the time he was done, I fell in love with my new hairstyle. I was looking for a new hairstylist that was convenient to my job and well let's face it GOOD! I had found Eman through the Yelp Deals. When trying a new hairstylist a good deal couldn't help either right? I had called Eman to schedule a appointment and he was so friendly over the phone I felt at ease. Now don't hate me people but the grandparents weren't available to watch my five year old son. Instead of creating a major faux pas and assuming that just bringing him along would be ok I did what any responsible parent would do and asked Eman if that would be ok? He was beyond sweet and said that would be fine. So I booked a appointment for later in the afternoon so that my son would only have to endure as little as possible to which my husband could pick him up. Now on to the haircut Eman was wonderful! I have really thick hair and since summer was coming up I wanted to cut my hair to just below my shoulders. I bought a picture to Eman so he can get an idea as to the style and length that I wanted. Eman listened to my concerns and got it right and nailed it! My hair felt wonderful much lighter and he cut all the damaged ends away. I was very pleased with the results! I have a hairstylist.
