Overcharged for poor services Hairstylist name maryland Cost $230 plus $60 to fix it so $290 My really good friend found this salon to get her hair done. And they overcharged her big time and did very shoddy work on her hair. She even went to a few other salons, and they all said the same thing that my friend was taken advantage of and the work they did on her hair was improper and not correctly done!! I want to be careful here as they are all individual hairdressers but what a disaster by Merilyn. I got it cropped clipped under the back of the neck usually by another hair salon. I will not this salon ever again. Not only did Merlyn not have the guard on the clipper it was straight to the skin , uneven, long strands. Total incompetency and will take weeks before i can put my hair up and its uncomfortable. Merilyn cant even see whats wrong with her work- though the salon owner did-, Merilyn offer or agree to give my money back and the owner had to.This salon seems to have no quality control and at least one incompetent hairdresser. Brooklyn was a very sweet girl, just very inexperienced. Over 1.5 hours to do a gel fill and shorten. Also, 1st time she ever did a French manicure, which is basically just white polish applied to the tip of the nail. Ask for Jamie, she appeared to be much more experienced. read more

Michelle Lucas is a magician! I had attempted to dye my hair with box dye. I used to get all crazy and creative a few years ago with box dye, so I decided to take a crack at it again. I had about 2 years worth of grown out virgin hair so I was a bit scared since it had been a while. I decided to only experiment of the bottom half of my hair. Instant regret. I'm just happy I didn't do it to my entire head! I had to head to IF for some family business and decided to take a look on Yelp in hopes of finding someone that can get me back to normal. It was difficult considering all the salons had photos of their clients hair, but they didn't have anything stating who the hair artist was, which is a horrible thing. Give credit where it's due! And this is why I must give all the credit to Michelle! I went in yesterday for a consultation. She went through color choices, I showed her pictures of what I was looking for, shade range, EVERYTHING! My end result is perfection! I wanted to get back to my natural hair color but with baby lights to give my hair some dimension. I really loved the fact that she didn't put me under heat when lightening my hair for the baby lights. (I watch Guy Tang YouTube and he says he likes the hair to marinate in the bleach/lightener to do less damage). At that point I was sold that my hair was going to be the bomb! Since I'm heading back home, she understood that I needed to upkeep with the color until I find someone back home to do my hair so she suggested a color enhancing conditioner. I am so happy with my hair!!! I absolutely recommend her! They were very rude... the salon set up an appointment and after a few minutes their stylist will text and reschedule you. They did it twice with the stylists saying one reason for rescheduling and the salon saying something else. I said I'll just cancel all together and the receptionist just dropped the call on me. read more

I have to say if you are looking for an awesome stylist than Sam is the one you need. My hair was dry, frizzy, different colors etc. And she brought it back to life. It took a couple appointments and it was completely worth it. My wedding is a week away and she did a Brazilian blow out on my hair today and it looks fabulous, it's soft and shiny and no more frizz. I am terrified of getting my haircut! I believe it's related to all of the bad hairdo's I had in the 90's. I recently went to a salon and have to say I think I found the one for me. Liz Ritchie cut my hair in February and I absolutely LOVE it! The cut she gave me was exactly what I wanted, suited me perfectly and doesn't take a ton of time in the morning to style. I went back on 3/8/2012 for a trim and to have my hair color done. I didn't really have a concrete idea of what I wanted, just what I didn't want. Nothing crazy, nothing blonde, nothing green. She was able to give me several different options and suggested colors that she thought would work for my cut and coloring. WOW! When she was done I was simply amazed. The color is beautiful and complements the cut perfectly. Because of the great experience that I have had I plan on going back to try the other services offered there.
