I was in Idaho falls for an appointment and decided to get my acrylic filled while I was in town with some free time. I called a few places that couldn't get me in and decided to just walk into the next nail place I saw. Immediately after sitting down I realized I made a bad gamble- the place is dirty. (Being the only patron to walk thru the doors for the entirety of my appointment was the second red flag) Unfortunately I stayed, to prevent an awkward situation. Two weeks after my appointment my acrylic lifted badly on one nail, and instead of re-gluing it down, I decided to take it off, knowing I'd need a new full set at my next appointment anyway, and a pocket of fungus greeted me. I started treatment, and made an appointment with a salon I've had amazing service from. Today I had the rest removed to be redone and to my horror- every nail on my right hand had a line of fungus trapped between the original acrylic and the fill of acrylic that LT did. (NOT from lifting, all 4 remaining nails were sealed around the entirety of the fungus. So, I've obviously learned a lesson you can learn from. If you sit down and the cleanliness standard is less than what you'd expect or approve of- make it awkward and walk yourself out. read more

Looking for a good place for a mani-pedi; I'm from out of town so I don't have the scoop on where to go, where not to go. So begins the search; I walked into one place, and no one was around (??), went into another place, turned around and walked out. Third time was a charm. Walked in, the place looked clean, off then on an adventure. I choose a color, I see the other patron has left and I'm it. A gentleman (Tom, Dow???) advises me on next steps, then I take my seat in the chair and he begins the process. I explain what I want, we discuss a bit and agree the pedi service I'm looking for is somewhere between a basic and the next level up... and that's just what was delivered. I didn't want all kinds of massaging, needless lotions and potions, just the right amount. My goal was for well shaped, neat, cuticles trimmed, and calluses removed. The little bit of massaging was spot on; similar to pressure points on the lower leg and feet. He conversed some, he focused on the job at hand. When that was done we moved to the manicure area. He took care of provided the service requested, was diligent in the work. At all times he and his staff were courteous to me. There was no long winded conversations amongst them or with me. The equipment he used was all clean, i saw the callus remover tool removed from the sterilizer unit. I laughed when I saw the nail polish placed in an automatic shaker. As the pedi session was coming to an end the little pumice stone used on my feet was thrown into the wastebasket. During my time at the LT Nail & Spa several other patrons arrived. Each but two were repeat customers. There was friendly banter, there was friendliness amongst the patrons and the two nail technicians. (I observed four technicians in the salon.) Repeat customers, friendly chatter, that would lead some to then surmise this is a good place to frequent. I have never had such a thorough, well executed mani-pedi before. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to place. read more

My friends and I were visiting and wanted to get our nails done before heading to Vegas. Not knowing the area we of course turn to yelp. I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprise with the service and the outcome of my nails. Idk what all the bad reviews are about, but my experience was too notch! I am so happy I chose this place!! I'm big on nails and very picky when it comes to salons and nail technicians. This is the era of nail art and my technician, Dow, did not disappoint! I asked him to make my nails fancy and he totally came through. Aside from being a great nail artist, my nails were clean, he did not cause damage, cut, or burn me which are things that are very important to look for when finding the right nail tech! This place did a great job when I walked in but I've had two appt since and the last one was the worst mani I believe I've ever had. "Linda" says "come" no hello, no greeting whatsoever after all she's doing you a favor. She doesn't speak English so you must bring pictures which is not a problem for me but... if she doesn't follow directions she needs a translator which I believe is the owner (rude if she isn'thelping you). Next she gave a very good pedi, but again since there was no communication she was giving me french tip on my tiny toenails. The mani...she made me bleed and it didn't stop till I was halfway home, strike 2 (strike 1 was no communication). Strike 3 is my nails were jaggedy and the skin around my nails wasn't tended to properly AND there are blobs of polish baked on my nails. They're out! Hard No on this place. I called in inquiring if there was availability for a gel manicure- the man (assuming it's the owner) responded rudely to come in. I should've taken that as a sign and found another nail salon, but I thought meh, I'm sure he'll be fine once I come in. He began working on my nails removing existing gel polish, then moved on to trim and file my nails. He began using a previously used (many, many times) nail file. I requested a new file, I really don't want to get a nail fungus, and he angrily got up to get one. He returned and continued to file my nails, but could see he was pissed. At that point I decided to leave and not finish my manicure. Steer clear of this place: they're not concerned with hygiene or making customers feel comfortable. read more

Got a Deluxe, I didn't even have to tell the lady my toes were getting ingrown but she just kept digging and asked her to let me soak it due to so much pain and then come back to it. Well she didn't come back to it to make sure it's out and then at the end before polish she cut my nails at a slant, so essentially creating a new ingrown. Never go back, had to leave the new ingrown for 3 weeks, so over a month and half with ingrown nails. read more

Great experience in a small town! I took my mom here as it is one of the few nail salons that offers SNS nail dips. They accommodated our appointment easily and had two technicians trained in doing the nail dips. They were friendly and the place was clean and orderly. First, my experience at the salon was great. I got a pedicure that was fantastic and the people were really friendly. I was then introduced to L. A nail technician that works at this establishment. He was not friendly and he would only talk about Costco to another technician. I tried to enjoy the process and once I was he said he was done. It took him 30 minutes. I tipped him as I felt pressure from him to do so. I then walked out and looked at my nails. They are all different thicknesses. I don't get my nails done often but I have never had nails look like this. After I drove home I hated them. I had my friend come over who does fantastic work on nails to take off these thick monsters. We soaked my nails in Acetone for 20 minutes and were able to get 3 off. Of the three that we got off my real nails were peeling from the top! I found out that L had used glue that is killing my nail beds. I am livid! I would never recommend this place to anyone! I was working in Idaho falls and needed to get my nails done for my upcoming wedding. I went to LT Nails and Spa, because they were open on sunday. There weren't any reviews, so I was unsure how it would turn out. I CANNOT say enough good things! First, the place is open, bright and very clean. I found out there weren't reviews probably because they opened only a few months ago. I got a full set and a pedicure, French, for my wedding. My wedding was 6 days away and I was concerned they would chip, etc, before the day. I'm not used to having nails, I figured I would break them at work. They absolutely did not chip or anything, in fact they made it not only until my wedding, but through my entire 2 week honeymoon as well! (3 weeks total) The people at LT Nails were kind, efficient and did a fantastic job. If I lived closer they would be my nail salon for certain! read more
