While in Plano, Texas for a softball tournament, I made it my mission to find a great breakfast taco spot for my early morning taco run. I decided to give this place a try, and I'm glad I did! The ingredients were fresh, flavorful, and prepared with care. The tacos hit the spot and provided the perfect start to a busy tournament day. The staff was friendly, attentive, and worked together like a well-coached team, making the entire experience enjoyable. The prices were fair, the service was excellent, and the food was definitely worth the stop. My only complaint? The tacos reminded me that nobody can quite compete with my grandmother's homemade tortillas--but that's a pretty high bar for anyone! Wasn't great, the place has booths but you order first and then they bring you your food. The food itself was not amazing. The tacos were bland and burritos were filled with rice and limited meat, beans or anything else leaving it dry. Service was staggered with one meal coming 4 minutes before the next. They have the best breakfast tacos around. Perfect for a quick pick up or dine in. (I prefer their breakfast tacos over Rosa's Cafe.) So if you're on the west side of Frisco, head down to the Colony and grab them. We've tried them all - bacon and sausage are my fav but my wife likes the chorizo and potatoes. Love their pico too! They were excellent, both my partner and I loved them, she devoured 2 tacos like it was nothing and she's not what you would consider a "big eater. It's a small location where you order your food and then choose your own seat. The service was super friendly though the entire time and they have a very extensive menu. My boss went with the Carne Asada plate. And said that the meat was super tender and really good seasoning on it. I opted for the chicken fajitas and they were amazing! Chicken was nice and seasoned with grilled onions and peppers and shockingly potato slices that were perfectly seasoned. I opted to go with corn tortillas, but you do have the option of flour tortillas as well. We also tried their guacamole and it was amazing. It is a little bit of a smaller portion, but it was plenty for just the two of us. Scooted on down to Emelia's, and wow, they had really opened up the place- lots more room for seating. Food: I ordered the small queso for $3.99, I was a hit disappointed in the size. I thought maybe it would be in a to go soup container but this container tiny. Just a bit larger than the to go salsa container. Delicious flavor, disappointing size for $3.99 I also wanted to try the appetizer platter- BIG WIN! Quesadilla- amazing flavor, burrito- crispy and cheesy and savory. Flauta- too crispy and not enough filling. Beef nacho and chicken nacho- very tasty and seasoned well! It comes with a little dollop of sour cream and guacamole Had to try the street tacos- that's why I went in- I ordered a chicken and beef but I they must not have heard me correctly- I received a shrimp and chicken- good thing I don't have any allergies or that could have been bad news- both really fantastic! Seating is plentiful and table tops are clean. You enter and order at the register - you'll then get a number and go to any table you'd like that's available. The tacos (about $2.25 each) were to die for and well stocked with the meats that you ordered. You get some limes on the side and 2 sauces (red and green). The chicken burrito was very filling; there was a good amount of beans, rice, and lettuce. Overall, it was decent but it would have been better, both in taste and in its appeal, had the tortilla been heated longer and browned more. The beef/pork in the street tacos were nicely seasoned and flavorful. The brisket was the better of the two. There was a decent amount of oil that had soaked up the tortillas in the beef tacos by the time we ate them at home but we enjoyed them anyway.
