10/10. Drove from Fort Worth just to try this spot and it was worth it. Hands down some of the best tacos I've ever had (chef's kiss). The agua de jamaica (hibiscus) was a bit on the sweet side but very good. Good service and affordable spot esp for a family night out. The inside is limited on seating but plenty of picnic style seating/ tables available outside. It was a great day outside when I went so the patio worked perfectly. Parking is available on the street and at a lot down 4th street and Oak St. There's a lot right next to the restaurant but you can't park there. I'll will definitely be coming back, and highly recommend you check them out!

Had this place bookmarked for over a year and dined here the first time on a Sunday, and man was it a huge let down. It's a very tiny establishment, indoor seating is scarce, and there was a long wait. I ordered 3 tacos, 2 carne asada and al pastor, they were horrible and chewy, lacking flavor. On weekends they have menudo, it was just ok, there were no chilli flakes and it was on the bland side I had to add salt and pepper, plus there wasn't enough tripe. I got my baby a kids meal, it was a tiny cheese quesadilla with rice and beans my baby barely touched it. I had high expectations for Mariana's considering they advertised themselves as "authentic Mexican food". Definitely won't be back and don't recommend to anyone, 1/10! Waste of 32 bucks :(

Place was fairly busy which is a good sign. Bought a variety of food and all was pretty good. I particularly liked the torta and sope. Hot sauces are good also. There's not a lot of space inside but they have park tables outside.

We had lunch here today and it was delicious! My husband had a huge burrito and I had the 3 chicken tostadas. We also got guacamole and chips. This was our first time here and I can't wait to come back. Very good food!

Mariana's Taco Shop hit the spot! We tried 4 carne asada tacos, 1 barbacoa, and a grilled fish taco--all tasty, no regrets. Great little street taco joint with super nice people. Only downside? Parking's a contact sport. Come hungry, park creatively. Service was solid.

Wow, I thought I had found delicious tacos at some other local spots like LaLas and Valerie's but this place might have surpassed them as the best tacos and most authentic Mexican tacos I've found in north Texas. The meat and the guac and salsas. Everything was just amazing and well priced as well. Super super impressed and can't wait to get back soon.

Simple but complete menu. We ordered two burritos and one nacho. It came with a red and a green sauce for each item. Food was very well done. Perfectly balanced and evenly distributed. Good flavor, well presented. Red and green sauce were awesome. Not the typical spiciness though. These sauces were definitely much more muted in spice, but great flavor. The red had a little bit more of a kick but I enjoyed the green sauce more. I wouldn't eat inside as it's tiny and the weather was so nice. Their outdoors eating area was also clean, tidy, and cute. It'd be a waste to not eat outside. The only thing I would say wasn't entirely perfect was that they labeled the burritos incorrectly but we were able to figure it out. Not worth a ding though!

Finally got to try this place. Came here for breakfast while everyone was still in church, so parking was plentiful. Got the egg, chorizo, beans and potatoes. Also got the menudo and a carne asada taco. The egg, chorizo and refried beans were good. Potatoes were ok. But let's talk about the menudo! It was very flavorful. Could have been a bit hotter, but not a biggie because it was already hot and humid outside! To top off the menudo, the carne asada taco was soooo good! Meat was tender, and great size street taco! Parking here is very limited. With all the construction going on in the downtown area and this place being right off the main street going through downtown, it can be challenging with traffic is heavy. Service was good. No indoor seating so to go orders are very popular being only seating is outside in the heat!

Always fast, fresh and delicious! Great customer service. Love the patio and so does our chill pup.

I have been coming here for a while but keep forgetting to do a review. The good news is I always get the same thing so this review can cover them all. This is a great independent little taco shop in the heart of downtown Frisco. They mostly have outside seating on the patio and where i prefer to sit but you do need to plan your weather with your visit I like their food since it is the closest to my So. Cal Mexican food. The chimichanga is nice and crispy on the outside with a very tasty shredded chicken on the inside. The rice is always fluffy and the beans are solid!! I always get an extra side of sour cream to dump on it. If you are in the area i highly suggest you stop by!!

2024 Yelp 100 Challenge - #33 A local taco shop serving up delicious eats. Customer Service is top tier and food is made to order. I ordered three bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos, and one potato taco. I'm not a huge fan of eggs, so I will order my breakfast tacos wit light eggs (personal preference) but they were every delicious.

Chips with Queso, salsa for my burrito. Green salsa I could drink!

The photos make it look very lively and fun so imagine our surprise at happy hour on a Friday walking into an entirely empty restaurant! Two couples inside and a couple guys drinking on the patio. We still decided to stay because we were hungry and the place itself is super duper nice and cute! We opted to sit at the bar where we were kindly greeted and two TVs playing football with no volume (which I love)! The barstools were very comfortable as well. Ordered two of the BEST margaritas I've ever had with the gran marnier! I now want all my margs made this way. No need for a second! For food, the enchilada verde and the taco lunch plates were pretty dang good. No complaints there and the servings were reasonable and not too much from the lunch menu. No leftovers. Really enjoyed the verde. Chips and salsa were something to write home about! Amazingly toasted and crunchy, I should have asked for a bag to go with just those chips! Very good! All in all, the staff was too kind and it happened to be my friend's birthday so I "snuck away to the restroom" and told our waiter and he surprised us with a perfect tres leches slice that was absolutely delicious! For lunch and margs I spent $65 and he treated us with that dessert and I felt like that was so sweet! Thank you team at Lalo! You guys were great and I now actually like that the restaurant was slower at the time but I do hope they pick up because it was a great place for us! Enjoyed very much and if we are ever back in the area we will stop through.

This is one of those restaurants that gets both the food and the atmosphere right, which is harder to find than it should be. We went with the Taco Bar Tuesday special, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a build-your-own taco experience. The chicken and beef were well-seasoned, juicy, and generous in portion size, and the fresh tortillas they make for you are a huge standout -- warm, soft, and clearly made with care. Sadly, we forgot to take the remaining chicken, beef, and fresh tortillas with us -- not because the food wasn't great, but because life with two kids under two is pure chaos. Honestly, that one's on us. Beyond the food, the vibe here is a big reason we keep coming back. The restaurant has tons of character, from the massive bar to the spacious patio. The flame lanterns out front are such a cool touch and really set the tone before you even walk in. It feels lively, fun, and welcoming without being overwhelming. Uncle Julio's is one of those places that works whether you're out for a casual night, a family meal, or just want good food in a great setting.
