Sold Me an Unsafe Bike - Told I Was "SOL" I understand the risks of buying a used bike, but I trusted Emerald City Harley-Davidson because the manager, finance manager, and service department all assured me my 2006 FXSDCI was safe, serviced, and inspected. Within weeks: 2014 tires, both forks leaking from the day I left, rusted oil can, electrical system failure, and a missing horn. I've already had to put over $2,000 into repairs, and my Harley mechanic said it should never have been sold in that condition. When I called, the finance manager told me I was "SOL." I can't shake the feeling that because I'm a woman and not educated in motorcycle service, I was taken advantage of. It felt like they were hard up to make a sale and saw me coming. Shame on me -- I've learned a hard lesson and will never shop there again. read more

In the market for another motorcycle; being I bought from here before with a good experience I would try them again. Not so good second time around. They have no prices shown on any of the bikes nor could any salesman give me an answer on how much one was. I choose a couple to compare and it took 15 minutes or more for them to get me a price; who doesn't know how much they are selling me something for? One would like to think a dealership would want to take care of a returning customer; nope, not here, apparently they figured being I was a returning customer they would try and charge an additional $2000.00 over list price; or maybe they do that to everyone so they can negotiate down to what the cost really should be. When I called them out on it Doc just sent the blanket statement "sorry your experience was not up to standard". Aside from their over inflated purchase cost I was also presented with some way over inflated monthly payments. They told me these were every customer numbers without credit check. I ran their numbers through the online payment calculator at zero down and was still half as much of what was presented. If the intention is to scare away and or insult potential buyers, especially return ones, then bravo, you succeeded. I would not recommend Emerald City Harley and will being making future purchases elsewhere. I am not big on reviews and this is my first ever; I just felt compelled to do so after this experience. read more

Bought new bike from them. Rode it 110 miles for break in before stage 2 kit install. I pick it up, service advisor asks "how log has the check engine light been on?'. My answer was , well I guess a few hours or whenever you broke it. So.....they said it was bad TPS sensor likely. So of course I didn't trust them.....based on some other issues. Took it to another dealer and....wait for it....backing plate for air cleaner they installed as part of stage 2 kit was stripped out which broke a connector on a wiring harness- bad install. SO I was right, the check engine light was on for a few hours, due to their poor workmanship. read more

About 14 years ago, I brought my 2002 Sportster in here for service after having recently moved to the area. John the salesman (who's a manager now) greeted my wife and I very warmly when we were walking around the showroom waiting for the service. He asked if I wanted to test ride any of the bikes. I said no thank you, we're just waiting for service. He said that's OK, go ride one anyway! I never forgot how courteous and friendly John was that day, so when it came time for me to get another bike a couple of years later, I went straight back. I never felt pressured to buy whatever specific bike that made the most sense for them to sell me that day (or any bike at all for that matter) and wound up taking home the bike I wanted at the price I wanted. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago when I bought my 5th (or is it my 6th? I lose count) bike from John. Every time I walk through those doors, whether its to buy a bike, a shirt, or just to look around and not spend a dime, I am made to feel like their most important customer. Before you say that's because I bought so many bikes there, it's vice-versa: I bought so many bikes there because of the way I'm treated. Bruce in service, this is who every CSR job should model after. He went above and beyond taking care of our bike and telling us about recall info (which we were just in for an oil change). From the time we dropped the bike off til the time we picked it up, we were kept in the loop about what was going on, how long it would take, etc. When we arrived back to pick the bike up today, he was there with it waiting. Had a question outside his realm so we were directed up to the front desk where we again received exceptional service from the woman running the desk. Her phone was ringing off the hook yet we still felt we had all of her attention and all of our questions answered. We've been to many Harley dealers and not all of them operate in this manner. They lost a customer. Would not recommend at all. It's worth buying your apparel /boots online; as the exchange/store credit/return policy here is absurd. Ordered boots for my husband, he didn't like the style. Was told I could "special order" a pair online and they would be exactly the same just without a zipper. They weren't the same at all, different material and not waterproof. Was basically told we were s**t out of luck. Do yourself a favor, find the same boots from a reputable source with a reasonable policy. read more

The showroom is really cool, you have to walk through all the bikes to get to the parts and accessories areas. All the team back there is equally awesome. Bought my 19' Heritage Classic with a stage 2 SE kit from them a month ago.sales experience was decent. Paid more than I probably should have. They made their money off me but that's the cost for not wanting to dicker around with the price. Where things start to go wrong for me was service. After 400 miles one of my S.E. mufflers started to burn discolor really bad. I took it to them to check the tune on the bike (just to make sure) and to see about getting the pipe replaced under warranty. They ran it on a dyno tune and verified that it was tuned properly. When I picked it up I asked about the warranty claim and was told by Travis that it was declined. Being my first experiences with a Harley I was pretty disappointed in the product brand. I was told by Travis that he would talk to some people (management) at the store to see what can be done for me and would give me a shout. I'm still waiting for that call... The next week I contacted the warranty department at HD corporate to discuss why it was denied. After verifying my info and finding my bike in the HD database I was informed that there was never a claim submitted under my motorcycle, my name, or Emerald City Harley pertaining to my bike...??!! At this point I now have lost faith/trust that I am not just getting BS'd around. When it comes to having my bike serviced, there is a certain amount of trust given that honest recommendations will be given. Once that honesty has been breeched it's hard to get that back. read more

I ordered a 103 upgrade from emerald city Harley Davidson. It was 15 day lead item at least that's what I was told so I month and a half later I called back and they told me it would be in the following month two months later I called back and asked what's going on with my 103 upgrade at that time they told me it would be in in August here it is December nine months later, and they still have no idea where my upgrade is at never once did they call me to say hey we're working on getting your parts or anything if you asked me this is very very bad business. I've been very patient and at this point I'm just gonna get my money back and go with an S&S motor totally unsatisfied. read more

Megan Dahl 1 review Unfortunately I have to write a bad review. I bought a 2020 Harley-Davidson brand new iron 883 on March 13 2021. I have had 6 breakdowns so many factory recalls, and have never been able to ride it home. I reached a point of calling lemon law. I had handle bars but on before I picked them up, the technician messed it up, leaving my bike to disconnect in the middle of the freeway, rolling to the side of the road. At one point I had a 432$ tow bill. I just received it back today from it being "fixed". Welp rode it reached mile 30 and battery light went back on. Now waiting to get it fixed and back on the shop again. At this point even if it gets fixed I am so stressed and can't even trust this bike. I definitely got a lemon and been made clear I am stuck with it. Will never go back there again. Just my experience. Wish they would replace it with a new one so I dont have to stress about this lemon. read more

I bought my Harley from Emerald city so I took my son there today so he could by his from them, bad idea. Bad, bad idea. Their attitude is garbage. This isn't the store I bought from, not now So..Emerald city unfortunately for you guys you lost a 25k sale today over a 100 dollar helmet, think about that, was that helmet that big of a deal to you? Really? And you weren't even decent over it, you were adamant pricks about it. "I am not giving you a helmet!" oops...bye bye sale. The next time someone tells you that you will have a deal if you throw in a 100 dollar helmet so he can ride the bike home you might want to be a little more reasonable about it. Had financing in hand, was good to go, all that was needed was a little good will and a reasonable attitude. This is not the store for that, head north or south but avoid Lynnwood when buying a harley. Treating your customers as adversaries is a bad way to do business. This family won't ever buy another thing at your store...ever. read more

This place used to be ok many years ago as the Cycle Barn, but things have changed dramatically. Took my bike in for an oil change and safety inspection as it had been garaged for a year. Eventually got a call from someone who suggested the age and mileage meant it wouldn't be worth it to fix the numerous things wrong with it - made it sound like half the bike had dry-rotted away! I eventually got the shop manager who gave me to understand he had just had to fire most of his service department. To his credit, he was personable, professional and apologetic for the way I had been treated. He - eventually - came up with a comprehensive list of work he felt the bike needed, which was FAR less than what the original list & e$stimate was - about half. Apparently, some of the items I was told I needed were NOT, in actuality, needed and were fine according to the manager. However, I was then quoted a bill for over $400 for an oil change and the "safety inspection". I suggested it might be a typo, and the price then came down to just a little over $100. When the bike was eventually ready (no way was anyone there touching it further), I discovered that their "safety inspection" failed to turn up the little fact that the headlight was burned out. They had wanted to do $7-8k worth of work and the ONLY part that was necessary to safely ride home was the burnt out headlight that they didn't notice in their comprehensive inspection. I chanced it and got home safely.. ;-) Perhaps their clientele has changed over the years to people with more $ than common sense, and they got lazy? I will say the shop manager tried to make things right and he was likely under the gun in more ways than one, but even if he did his best and it's just an issue that he is not properly supported, that's enough for me to go elsewhere. read more

I recently purchased a 2021 sport glide. While negotiating the deal they were quick and responsive, but the second that they got my down payment check everything slowed to a halt. Promises that were made before the sale were no longer an option after the sale. Customer service went downhill fast. I had to fight like hell just to get what they agreed upon after the sale. I kept having to track down the salesman to find out the status of the delivery of the bike and he almost became a ghost once he had my check. Once I took delivery of the bike it was discovered shortly there after that it had defective paint. They have been extremely unhelpful and trying to get the situation resolved I've continuously had to contact them even though they said they would reach back out to me and it's been over three weeks with still no answers. This company has a horrible time with communication and to be honest with you they really give off the vibe that they could care less about you the second they get your money. I really wish I didn't purchase my bike here I wish I would've given the business to my local dealership that treats their customers a lot better. I strongly suggest shopping from a different dealership as my buying purchase here was absolutely awful not to mention I'm still dealing with a defective paint job on a brand new $21,000 bike. read more

The Service Manager Josh and my Service Advisor Chris were great They recommended what was needed on my bike and when I suggested some additional items I was considering they let me know that currently that wasn't required but pointed out other things that I hadn't considered that were. I thought the parts department was great as well and I recommend the team without hesitation The other two Harley Davidson stores I contacted for service, never even called me back even after I went in personally and asked for a quote on service, at both stores. I had a money left on a gift card. I didn't remember how much. When I was checking out, cashier told me they don't accept this card anymore. Since this store changed their name they split with Cycle Barn. Now Cycle Barn is now cashing gift cards or.. i guess you can buy stuff. I decided to go to Cycle Barn, but I had no time and decided to come there later. I had been going to H-D store for about 7 years. Usually I had nice experience. The store is normally clean and well organized. Stuff is pretty friendly. The store has been going thru several owners in the last a few years. But I did not notice changes other then more empty space and only one brand- Harley-Davidson and Name is changed. I think I will be able to use my card yet. read more

I really wanted to give them a one after my sales experience but I like Carl and the motorclothes people were nice. Tried to trade in a basically new bike (2017 w/800 miles) for another touring model. I knew this would hurt - i only had the trade 6 months and had rolled in the ttl, etc. with no money down. I was upside down. I had met Carl a couple of weeks prior. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We talked about my situation. He showed me trade-in and retail numbers on my bike and even tho I'd take a hit, it looked like this might work. I told him I would bring the bike up on my next visit and see if we could work something out. A few days earlier, I got an email from another salesperson from there. I made a point of telling him I wanted to work with Carl. A few minutes later, Carl emailed me. I went in last Sunday. After waiting around too long for Carl to talk to Brent (waiting for numbers on both bikes), to make a long story short, I was shocked on how bad the deal was! They wanted to offer me $4k less than retail on my trade and wouldn't take off a penny off the new bike! On top of that, they added $1k for setup charges!! I have never paid setup fee on any of bikes and I'd be embarrassed to say how many I've had. The worst part was Carl's justification for the trade in offer. He told me that they offered what they did because the next buyer would only be able to finance up to that amount!! I didn't even respond because I was surprised at his excuse. I'm supposed to care about the next guy?? Cmon give me a break. Obviously left. Will not go back there for anything. Don't bother with this group. There's at least 2 more dealers in close proximity. Just when you think you can't find a trustworthy shop to repair you bike, Emerald City steps up. Josh runs the shop and is one of the most knowledgeable Harley guys I have met and Chris who books service is right there with him. Scot who did the work on my bike is a magician and worth the wait to get him to work on your bike. They rebuilt a motor for me so well, the bike runs better than when I first got it (ok I admit I did a few upgrades). But they split the motor, had to put new heads on and a lot more work and it came out perfect. Now I am having them work on a second bike and can't wait to get it back. If you are looking for a fair priced trustworthy Harley Service shop, I could not recommend these guys any stronger. read more

Sales people were very helpful. I came in looking for a bike I checked on the night before, when I get there the next morning it was gone. Found a bike that was a little more $$$ but was newer and had 6K miles. There was no overly priced bikes (Fife) and no rude sales manager, hidden/ bump in price due to your income and the sales manager wants to become your new BFF (Renton). Just good people that love bikes and finding you the best bike for your price range. The service department was just as nice and caring, I drove from Fed way (I live there) to ECHD to get a new kickstand spring. Bought it and they put it on for free in like 2 minuets. Over all if you want to be treated like you matter go to ECHD. P.S. Buying the wife a bike in December can you guess were I'll be going? read more
