The front desk staff was warm, friendly, and inviting. The hygienist was both professional and personable, and I honestly felt that the cleaning I received was one of the best I've had in a very long time. At my previous dental office, appointments felt rushed -- my cleaning there was finished in about 10 minutes, including X-rays! Dr. J was thorough, professional, and refreshing. He took the time to do a complete exam, made recommendations, and answered my questions without making me feel pressured into additional services like I experienced at my former office. I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a caring and professional dental team. You won't be sorry!

After spending time with another dentist and staying on top of regular cleanings (2-3 a year), I decided to give this office another try. They told me I needed a deep cleaning and said it wouldn't be covered by my insurance--only for me to later find out that it actually was included in my plan. That said, the main hygienist here is truly exceptional. Her room is on the far right when you walk to the back. She's kind, gentle, thorough, and genuinely cares about her patients. Honestly, she's the reason this office stays afloat. If the rest of the staff brought that same warmth and professionalism, the overall experience would be totally different.

Before I scheduled my kids appointment I did the right thing by confirming with this provider and the Crestview location that they were in network with my SPECIFIC insurance via plan number and social security number. Moreover I sent them their required new patient paperwork over 2 months before the scheduled appointments with all of the required information for our insurance. Upon exiting the appointment I was assured the appointment was in network and I don't owe anything. Then, SUPRISE, I get notified from my insurance company of a balance. When I contacted the dental office to talk about it they said "talk to your insurance company". I don't know where Wild Smiles Crestview messed up, but if I was OUT of Network, do you think they would have let me go without paying a penny the day of the visit? It is abundantly clear that office management does not know how to do their job or admit when they screw up. Additionally, I never received a bill from them, not ONE bill in 9 months since the visit. Instead, I received a letter from a collection agency over 9 months later. As for the visit, the office seemed like a pop up location that you would see for a blood drive. The cleaning and exam for both children seemed rushed and impersonal. Also, the staff seemed way more interested in celebrating the doctors birthday then putting the attention on the CHILDREN. What was also offputting and strange is when we were leaving they wanted to schedule a follow up appointment, but said they would have to restrict the appointment to a certain time of the day because of the way that kids "act" during that time if day. How insulting that is? Some stranger knows what time of day my kids act the best? It is now so apparent why this was the closest dentist (1 hour and 45 minutes) to us that was "in-network" and taking new patients.

The front desk staff are smiling and friendly, the office is clean and bright, full of toys and happy pictures on the wall for kids. In the treatment room, there are comfortable chairs for parents to sit in, big rooms with private bathrooms. My dental insurance would require me to drive 40 miles to another state for my son to see a pediatric dentist. Not doing that. So glad my friends told me about this place. All online reviews rave about this place. We were early, waited only 3 minutes to be brought back, were seen early, two helpers to explain everything and the dentist gave him laughing gas, painted on the numbing cream, put in the lidocaine shots without my son even knowing, wedged the two rotten molars loose and used the pliers to pull them both out, placed the clotting medicated dissolving dot in the holes and put gauze in there. All in about 10 minutes. Very impressive. Our appt was scheduled for 9:30, we went back around 9:11 and everything was done at 9:34. Amazing. No pain ever for my son. He needed extra laughing gas and lidocaine. I think cause he's red headed. That's a thing. She listened to him and gave him extra so he wouldn't have pain at all. My son isn't traumatized at all. I'm so incredibly happy with the whole process. Front desk sends electronic super bill to your insurance for you so you don't have to do it. This place is AMAZING!!

I was contacted by email in less than 24 hrs to let me know that new patients weren't being accepted until July, but that I could go into a wait list for potential cancellations. Less than 24 hrs later I got a call from the office to let me know two slots had opened up the next day. I saw others give low reviews on google for their communication turn around so I wanted to be sure to note that I had a very prompt response time from the office. The morning of, we had an appt at 9, but weren't seen until 9:30. All things considered, this office opens at 7 and I understand that things can back up if kids are having a tough time and appts before us took longer than anticipated. I appreciated the front desk letting me know the situation and that they in turn appreciated my patience as we waited for a chair to open for my daughters cleaning. Once we were called back, the appt itself was AMAZING. Big shout out to the dental hygienist who worked w my 6 year old. My daughter has an aversion to the water pick and suction tube and asked if she could please use a cup of water and an empty cup to spit it out when she needed to rinse her mouth. She was kindly and easily accommodated and the cleaning went by without incident. This was the first time my daughter let a hygienist use an electric toothbrush, floss, count and clean teeth and FINALLY take x-rays after 2 years of meltdowns at previous offices/attempts. The hygienist was very clear and kind, always letting my daughter know what to expect in a kid friendly way, reading cues to ask my daughter if she needed to pause and take some deep breaths , and listening to my daughter to work together for a great cleaning and x-Ray experience. My daughter loved that she could watch a movie during her appt. Very thankful to have found this office.

Every visit here is gut-wrenching due to certain office managers. . If they don't cancel the appointment you made six months in advance to fit their schedule, they make you wait 30 minutes or more in their lobby when they could have called you to let you know they were running late. My husband and I moved heaven and earth to accommodate when their hygienist was sick. What was our thanks? Sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes once we arrived (we arrived 10 mins early so 30 minutes. I have never had them call me on time when I arrive promptly for an appointment so here's a tip : if you have to use them like I do just arrive 13 minutes late for every single appointment (their policy is to cancel if you are 15 minutes or more late. That way he will eat into their normal 30 minute wait time and only have to wait about 15 minutes once you arrive. Also make sure that you call before you leave to confirm your appointment and hang onto your appointment cards. I had an appointment card that listed the date and time and when I checked in, I was told that I must have gotten the date or time wrong (blame the customer). When I showed them the card, they just said " I'm sorry we can accommodate you today and we'll try to squeeze you in for an appointment in the next couple of weeks." Bottom line: stay away if you have a choice or until they replace the incompetent front. Great Dentists, generally bad front office staff which is sure to challenge your blood pressure.
