Golf Course is fun to play and prices are very fair especially on weekdays, as they are a little cheaper than weekends. Fairways are well maintained along with greens. Friendly staff and they also deliver drinks or food just a phone call away. Definitely recommend to try it out if you live in the north county. read more

Two great comments for the Emerald Isle team. 1. We had our baseball team fundraiser here and they couldn't have been more accommodating. They were great with the kids, they were very flexible due to the inclement weather, and they never batted an eye when we made extra requests. 2. We use Coach Natalie for my sons golf lessons here. She is incredible. She knows how to relate to her students(adult or kids), has great insight and incredible patience. This Golf course is poorly managed. Came to play T off 2:20. Called the Pro shop telling them a five-some had eight groups behind them held upon hole #10. It was 4:40. They said they would take care of it. They did not. We played only 3 more holes and had to quit because it got to dark We ended at 5:15. UNSATISFACTORY. No Marshall on the course! Then 3 more groups caught up to the back up. I don't pay not to play a complete round of golf. All the teams behind us were forced to stop after 9-10-11 holes. Put s Marshall out on the course if U put out a 5 some. Despicable Management! read more

Place is short but its super affordable and great to work on your short game. I often go by myself and get a cart for 18 holes and a large bucket of range balls for under $30. Im done with my round in 2 hours. read more

This is a great little course. 5 or 6 of the holes would be signature holes in their own right on a full course. Club selection needs to be on point or you can find yourself in trouble. Greens were in good shape. All in all a very enjoyable round for a reasonable price. read more

This is a great place to learn how to play the game of golf if you are just getting started. I play this course most of the time to practice my short game. Six years ago when I took up the game of golf I couldn't even break 80 on an executive course. Today my best score is 3 over par. Great job on the greens Emerald Isle they always look inviting. I've only played about 50 courses around the world so I don't know what the super duper nice ones are like - but I really thought this one was really fun and exactly what I'm looking for in a nice course. A pretty interesting little course. Basically a par 3 with one hole that's a 200 yard par 4, and one real par 4. Maintenance was decent for a small little course. Greens read true, but were slightly slow. No biggie. I'd play again for the price. read more

This course was recently taken over by PGA pros. It's a much better place now. This is a great course for any golfer. Good for beginners and family and good for better golfers practicing their iron game. I am a member at Torrey so it's hard to impress me but this place does. It's a great place not only to have fun with friends but the private secluded grass practice range is unreal. You want to practice in peace on real grass then this place is awesome. This place even builds and repairs clubs as well as teaches. This place has it all and close to anywhere in north county. read more

This was my first time playing at this course. The course was decent, but towards the end the marshall decided to start yelling at our group. He claimed that we had not put the flags back in the hole on the last 3 holes, which was not true. My friend mentioned that if we did leave one by mistake the marshall could have notified us rather than screaming "DO YOU NEED ME TO FUCKING TELL YOU HOW TO TAKE A SHIT TOO?". Long story short, I don't think my group did anything to deserve the outburst, anger, and foul language although we remained calm through out abuse. I will not be returning. read more

I travel the distance here for the disc golf, not regular golf. It is a fun course, but a negative to some might be that you share play with regular golfers. In my experience, most traditional golfers here were accommodating and friendly, but I've heard that some may not be as nice at times. The plus side for me is a wide open, long distance course with multiple tees for varying skill levels. You can also rent golf carts here and who doesn't like golf carts? Bring an extra disc or two with you or buy some at the pro shop before you start, because there are 3 water hazards here (involving 5-6 holes). Your disc bag may be lighter at the end of the day. The grounds crew does go through the water every month or so and the pro shop will call you if your disc is retrieved. The pro shop is typical and sells everything from disc, clubs, balls, tees, and other equipment to snacks and beer. Green fees are a bit high, but I only visit every once in a while so it doesn't make a permanent dent in my wallet. A fun time for all, but if you're disc golfing, keep a heads up for hacking golfers. read more

Hello,this review is for the Grill part of the golf course.A friend and I just ate the cheese burgers and the meat was So Dry and tasted like nothing...which is a shame, because the bun was Super Good ! So I ask the guy in front how the meat was cooked,and he told me they grilled the meat in the back on a grill...Funny, I didn't smell any burger smoke,so I ask again knowing full well that this mess was NOT just cooked..Soma lady comes up and I ask her how the meat was cooked, and she lied to me also and said on the grill in back....So, I explain to her that that is hard to believe because this was the driest burger I have Ever had, and then in her same breath as saying it is grilled in the back, she says they come preformed and pre-cooked !!!! So, I say "you are Not grilling them in the back but heating up a pre-cooked burger??". Only after she realized I wasn't buying it she told me the truth.....I Don't like to be lied to..... Avoid the food and liars there.........!!!!!!!! read more

The Emerald Isle Golf Course is cheap to play and that's nice. But it is not much to look at. Lots of burnt grass from lawn machines, I mean black. There was also a nice pond for many years that the ownership has let dry up. Disgusting grass now growing in it. Yuk! Also safety line missing between the course and Oceana Retirement community. I hope the course improves, but I cannot recommend it in it's current condition. read more

The course is mediocre at best. Easy to play but poorly kept. Still better than city center though. They have a marshal who will watch you like a hawk the whole time as well. You feel like you an unwanted patron in a rowdy pub. read more
