I purchased a new Nest thermostat and cameras from Best Buy and told by the installers that the thermostat couldn't be installed due to wiring, that it required new wiring for it to work. The old thermostat had a jumper and I believed it. I contacted another licensed HVAC provider who quoted $190 for wire and $230 to install my previously purchased Nest. I then called Efren to compare prices and he immediately responded that It didn't require new wiring and that I could do it, and helped me identify two of the wires. Update since Efrain came out last time and filled up our AC with Freon. Yes I did ask him not to put stop leak to keep the Freon in because I'm cheap so he didn't. Well just past a month the Inside of the House started heating up again. Yup, no Freon in system. Had another company called Economy heating and air to come out. The techs name was David. This tech came out, no mask, no shoe covers, and an attitude. He came in and said there was no Freon and then pushed me to get it fixed that day and gave me some expensive options. I told him I was fine and Efrain was coming the next day to fix it and that I just wanted a tech to tell what was wrong with the AC. Then he said that if that tech was so good why didn't he fix the AC the last time he was there. I didn't like his attitude the first time anyway so I paid his service fee and said goodbye. Sprayed the area where he was at with Lysol. Yeah I'm a little paranoid but there's a pandemic going around and this guy apparently doesn't care. Crazy thing is he's probably gone house to house like that and could likely be a person spreading the corona virus. Anyway, the company was economy heating and air and the tech was david. The next day Efrain came out and verified the Freon was all gone and that a leak had developed. He gave me some great options and we ended up getting a new affordable AC unit. After only 2 days, he came with the new unit and installed it within 5 hours. The AC works great and we are happy with Efrain and his work. Also just to add, Efrain wore a mask even outside, had shoe covers, covered every area he stepped on with canvas and vacuumed every area he was in. He acted with total professionalism.
