Two word review: Honest, Responsive. This is my THIRD consecutive 5-star review for Rocklin Heating & Air. In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride. read more

I called Rocklin Heating & Air yesterday because our unit wasn't running properly and we have some hot days ahead of us!! They were able to get someone scheduled immediately for the next day! So, earlier this morning, our technician (Frank) called with a heads up for his arrival and showed up right on time. He was very polite and got to work right away. Turned out to be a bad capacitor. Guy was professional and detail oriented. He explained what he was doing and showed the diagnostics and what needed replaced while also mentioinjn my capacitor was lower then new but not in the "fail zone" but shared it might be worth to replace instead of it going out in 6 months and needed another service call. I almost never write reviews, but this one was well earned. We have used Rocklin Heating & Air since purchasing our home in Rocklin around 2008, and they have consistently provided outstanding service. Because of the excellent experiences we have had with them over the years, choosing them to replace our entire heating and air-conditioning system was an easy decision when our old system finally died on July 9, 2026. We chose a new Trane system and are extremely happy with it. It is remarkably quiet compared with our previous 23-year-old system and comes with an excellent warranty. Elliot and Taimaz did an awesome job. They worked extremely hard and completed the entire installation in one long day. We greatly appreciated their professionalism, attention to detail, dedication, and the overall quality of their work. They promptly hauled away all of the old equipment and left the work areas spotless. They had to spend so much time to troubleshoot on the new install and they really do not know air condition system with a newer technology. I do not use them again. Also they left a lots of leaked oil and they did not clean up even I ask their workers and just left. Not professional and disappointing. read more

We used them for years. Our HVAC system finally needed to be replaced. They gave us an estimate that included $3000 for misc. When we asked for a detailed estimate that broke it down, they said they would provide it, but never did. We ended up going with a smaller, family owned local company who has been very responsive, very professional and broke the bill down. I troubleshoot and fix most problems I encounter in my home, to include hardware/plumbing/electrical, but I was stumped and required real industry expertise for my outdoor AC unit. I called Rocklin Heating & Air who immediately responded to schedule an appointment. Mark deployed to my home and went straight to work, quickly absorbing the situation and what I had learned thus far. Mark was followed by some of his teammates, when it was determined this would require troubleshooting from multiple points in the home simultaneously. I was fearing the worst, running through expensive possibilities in my mind. Throughout the entire troubleshooting process, the team was highly communicative and never tried to upsell me on anything that was not short of necessary. As the team diligently narrowed it down to unusual behavior from a culprit wire and elegantly solved the problem, I was certain I picked the right HVAC company. Rocklin came out to perform an inspection prior to closing escrow. They needed to replace a part in AC unit, affordable, they passed furnace, etc. Yet later I had an issue with PG&E stating there were hazards with furnace, almost a month later, so I called them to find out why they missed those issues. They sent out a senior tech (Joe)that immediately recognized the problems and knew what to do, they waived inspection fee and scheduled me in for those repairs- so when and if we decide to use the furnace- we're safe. Joe was professional and knowledgeable, the office receptionist(Khalee) was also extremely sweet and patient over the phone as well. We then decided to send an email and lo and behold Cody responded with an appology saying that the woman was new and not experienced. Our old furnace AC system died. RHA (Rocklin Heating and Air provided a very competitive quote plus they had many good reviews. We switched to a heat pump AC system. Once I approved the quote RHA installed the next day. The installation was completed in one day. It was clean, the installers were professional and friendly, and they were happy to answer all my curiose questions during the installation. We had a slight problem related to the condensation drain but they quickly resolved with utmost priority. The new system works wonderfully. I would highly recommend RHA. read more

UPDATED REVIEW, Sept 20, 2025: I recently wrote a not so good review for Rocklin Heating and Air after I called them out to my Rocklin residence regarding my AC not blowing cold air intermittently and the pipe outside freezing over at the same time. They do charge a $100 fee to come out which is fair IMO. The technician, Joe or Joel, diagnosed the issue as a bad actuator. After he left, I checked and the actuator he said was bad was working just fine. I checked over a period of several days but, in hindsight and to be fair, those days did not include any days when the AC was not blowing cold air or the outside pipes frozen over and I found the actuator to be working fine. As a result, I truly believed that Rocklin Heating/ Air was trying to hoodwink me. Now, I had previously called another HVAC company, Cronus, who diagnosed the issue as a condenser issue and wanted $3,000 to fix it. So needless to say, I was confused and not trusting at this point. Fast forward several weeks and I happen to be home when the A/C stopped blowing cold air again and the pipes were frozen over. I immediately hopped into the attic to check the actuator that was supposedly not working correctly (sticking) and it was indeed stuck in the closed position! This caused the cold air to back up and freeze the pipes and hence no cold air was coming out of those (downstairs) vents. I have ordered the necessary part and will install it myself. I do want to apologize to Rocklin Heating and Air and Joe(l) for my critical review of them. In the end, they were right and I was wrong. read more

Rocklin Heating & Air installed a new HVAC system in early April 2026, replacing our 30-year-old system. Brad supplied quotes, discussed pros and cons, explained the benefits of a split system for our upstairs, and spent extra time explaining every detail of their quote. The installation took a day and was so streamlined and flawless! The team was friendly, cheerful and focused. Their vans were spotless and every detail was thought of -- the old system was set at the curb for pickup later -- we didn't have to do a thing. They patiently explained how to use the two new thermostats and helped us connect to our phones. When the two inspectors (required by law) came (on separate days), each asked who did the installation and then said RH&A's work was always excellent. A neighbor who also had RH&A install her HVAC two years ago said she had the same experience, and that she's heard the same from other neighbors. Plus, they deducted 2% for cash, which they reminded us about -- then waited patiently while we wrote a new check with the lower amount. It was the perfect experience! read more

We have been homeowners of 5 dwellings since 1984 and have experienced many tactics from HVAC companies to sell unnecessary services. You can rest assured that you will not get this with Rocklin Heating and Air. We first experienced their services in 2023 and after a total of 8 contractors, they were the most reasonable and did more for less money than the other 7 would've done. At this time, I was ready to sign w/one other contractor until a good friend strongly encouraged to call Rocklin Heating & Air. I am so glad I listened to her. They saved me about $6,000. Today, they came out to fix our AC that went out on Saturday evening and the cost of the service call and replacement of a damaged part totaled only $279! I say only because they didn't try to sell me anything else as others have in the past. Great service! Not writing this because my a/c was in tip top condition...but because of the quality customer service/business practices. I plotted an inquiry on their website, they called me within the hour, set up an appointment time/date, got a reminder text day before and they were on time (within the 2hr projected in text). Iman was the tech and did a thorough job (testing, measuring temps, cleaning). Iman answered all my questions too. A lot better than the company who did the complete HVAC system replacement I had done. I went to them 1st for a tune-up. They made an appt then never showed up but the next day e-mailed me a bill for what they were supposed to have done LOL. I called them out after AC went out last summer. The came out first thing in the morning before it got hot and fixed the problem with trying to price gouging or sell me a new system. The system ran fine but I knew it was only a matter of time before it needed to be replaced waited until the end August and then back for a replacement quote. They quoted a fair price for a complete HVAC replacement with a top of line system and when scheduled they did it quickly and efficiently. I was pleasantly surprised by their customer service in comparison to some other companies I've dealt with in the past.
