Absolutely not! We called them about the toilets being backed up. Ladies room and men's room. So 4 toilets and a urinal. Told them how many toilets and urinals we had and how it had to be rodded out 200ft. We were quoted over the phone $1745. After not having luck with another vendor, I went ahead and got these guys out. Dominic was the one that came out with two other people. Very friendly and approachable. No problems. Well I see the paper. There is an additional fee of $625 if it has to be hydro blasted. Ok I thought well hey if it has to be done so be it. So didn't question that. I was not happy that I was not told this over the phone as I'm using a company card and I needed approval. So I call right away to get the approval. Done. Final bill I see him add $325. I ask "what is this for"? He said because he had to service each toilet and urinal. Wtf! So I'm I like ok are you going to clean up the mess?? He says "yes". So I. Have no problem with that either. However they mopped the dirty disgusting floors with MY mops and leave water all over our back room. Puddles. Also the toilets and walls covered in sewage. What happened to the cleaning ?? Wtf was the extra $325 for?? So, long story short, I feel as if I got taken by a local plumber. I should have just went with rotor rooter. I will NEVER recommend these guys. I was so impressed with the fast response and promises. But the promises were empty and the rodding of $1745 turned into $2695. If you want to get taken I guess choose these people. I will never use them. Yes I have had this problem in the past but the plumber I originally used wasn't available. I was actually going to use Good Guys in the future and recommend them but I can't. Here's the situation: a persistent leak above my kitchen sink coming from the unit above at 6pm on Saturday night. Dominic and Ray after a thorough investigation of both units, determined that leak from above was not from the sink but from a dishwasher adjacent that was leaking from underneath. Early Sunday morning my only toilet would not flush. It's almost impossible to find a plumber on Sunday. If you do, they charge outrageous fees. Luckily I came across the Good Guys. Dominick came right out & quickly found out it was not an easy fix since it is an old house with very old pipes. The next day a he came out & started the project. Later the rest of the crew came out to help. They worked all day & night finishing the major job. They did a great clean up & was very fair & reasonable. I had high hopes for this company after reading the more current reviews. I called for emergency service. My hot water tank burst. Joe called me right away. I explained the situation and he agreed to come out. When he arrived, mask on, he looked at the water shooting from the tank and asked me where the shut offs were located. I had no idea. Joe found them and shut off water to the entire building. "Can't you just shut off the tank that's busted so other people still have running water?" No, because he didn't have pliers and asked if I had any. If I had pliers, I wouldn't have needed to call for emergency service. "Well, don't you have pliers in your truck?" Nope, didn't bring the work truck, didn't bring tools. Although Joe was friendly and arrived promptly, he left me with no water to the building, a tank now draining water instead of shooting out, and a three-figure service fee in his pocket. I talked to the supervisor the next day who agreed to return the check that week. I stopped payment on the check because I never received it. I was hoping I'd found a wonderful local plumbing company. Perhaps they're reliable for everyday plumbing, but for emergency service, not for me. read more

Horrible experience! Shop around this guys are to young to be experienced and know what they are doing. Having trouble with my sewer line clogging. Deal with multiple plumbers and they were not able to fix my issue but not an issue to take my money. Finally dealt with Ray sold me a big project to resolved my issue and a year later I have the same problem. I tried contacting Ray again and he started playing games with me. He would schedule an appointment to meet and just not show. One night he text me at 9pm that he was on his and I waited till midnight and went to bed. Our basement flooded on a Sunday and after hours of pumping water out, we decided to call a plumber. The first plumber we called did not solve the problem, didn't really try anything creative and didn't come with the right equipment. They also recommended an $11k project to fix it. That's when we called Good Guys and I'm glad we did. It was an emergency situation on a Sunday night. We called them at 8:30pm on a Sunday and Joe was able to come over by 10pm. He asked a lot of questions to help diagnose the issue and came prepared with the right tools. Joe got creative when he initially got stuck with the rod and found a way to pop and clear the obstruction. Good Guys really came through for us when we needed it. These guys strung my partner along for 3 days and finally just didn't show up. I find that very unprofessional and rude, and I'm incredulous that a "business" that does this is still operating! When my partner called them on Monday about a hose spout breaking, Joseph responded and said he would come at 5 pm the next day. I needed a water heater installed because my tankless water heater was not functioning correctly. So I went with this company because of the yelp reviews and thank you yelpers. The nice thing about this company is their prompt response through yelp and no assessment fee! I was able to speak to Ray (the plumber), via text and show him what my issue was. He, then, was able to come the next day to see what needed to be done and if there was room for a water heater. In addition, we were able to agree on a set price, with no additional/hidden costs. A different company I contacted charged me for the assessment and were charging me $1000 more to do the same service that this company did. The installation of the water heater took two people and both were not only efficient, but courteous and mindful that I had a newborn baby. They wanted to make sure they didn't make too much noise and warned me to go upstairs when there was going to be smoke. Additionally, they wore boot covers, to make sure that they didn't get any dirt in the house. It is so hard to find a good and honest plumber nowadays so look no further. They believed the line may have been broken, which we later found was diagnosed correctly. However, they recommended we camera the line to be sure and I asked that they come asap. Do Ray Mi Fa... ck the shower nozzle broke and is spewing water out all over the bathroom! The good news: It wasn't my bathroom. The bad news: Water is spewing over my ma's house and she's not all there and i'm across the country and have a duty to get this fixed ASAP. Luckily I was able to not only find this plumber service but request a quote online. They responded almost instantly and I was able to get on the phone with their customer service and within maybe 15 minutes I had an actual plumber and actual savior on the phone giving me his estimate and ETA. That righteous plumber was Ray M. He was clear, concise, and lucky for me able to communicate with me across the country to get to my ma's, to home depot to get the emergency part, and get back to have everything fixed that same day. Because it was during 'emergency hours' (after 6pm) there was a $185 fee to get a plumber to the door but when your walk is thrusting water all over your house, that's a drop in the bucket... or bathtub, in this case. Ray was wonderful in dealing with my mom and made calls with me throughout his services to let me know his eta, what was needed from home depot before they closed, and when the work was finished. Not only was he great with call updates but he switched to text the later it got, which I appreciated after an already crazy day handling "renovations" both in illinois and California. A zillion stars for Ray M with these plumbers and happy to have his info in my proverbial pocket for some upcoming renovations needed on my mom's dwelling. And I don't know exactly what he did but my mom said he was sooo nice and after he finished she and my perpetually feuding brother were in decent enough spirits to go get dinner together. unheard of. These guys came out the next day (on a Sunday) to inspect it, and were the only company not charging an emergency fee to come out. Ray quickly diagnosed the problem and explained what was needed to be done. He came back the next morning and finished the work in a matter of hours. I really wanted to like these guys. I called yesterday (Friday) around 5PM for leaky basement drain. I was so happy when the guy said he'd stop by same day after a Westchester call. So I waited. At almost 9PM, I called the guy and asked if he was still coming because I had to drive out to the city to pick up a relative. He apologized and said the Westchester job took longer than expected. No big deal. I understood, it happens. He asked if he could still come out same night, and at that point, I couldn't postpone picking up my relative, so I asked if I could reschedule for the next day. He kind of hemmed and hawed, but eventually said he could stop by or send someone out for us tomorrow (which is now today, 5/15) between 5-6PM. It's 5:10PM now.. I called them just to confirm if they were still coming so I wouldn't waste my day again... But nothing. No response. No call back. No heads up. Unfortunately, I trusted them to keep their word on coming today, so I can't get ahold of any other plumbing company today on a Saturday afternoon and I'm stuck with a leaky drain absolutely ruining my family room carpet until Monday at minimum. We have a boiler system to heat our water and the first floor of our home. We contacted them over the weekend to fix a gas leak that was found by our gas company on the boiler. After multiple texts and reaching out for more communication, they got the part and replaced it after 36-48 hours. They left and my husband presumed everything was working. When the water wasn't hot and the heater was still not working another 36 hours later they came back again, didn't even take off the door of the boiler to see what I was explaining the problem was (the burner was not turning on) and didn't believe me when I explained how our system worked. I paid 500 dollars for a 55 dollar part and a boiler left without working. Would never recommend. Shared this with the people who recommended them and they'll also stop using them. Honesty instead of charging us money for a system they didn't get would've been better. read more

The manager was extremely professional. He came within 2 hours and put a new hot water heater in. His prices were great and work was excellent!
