Came up to enjoy the porch and had a lovely evening. We reserved our time ahead through the website and were seated immediately on arrival. The ambiance was very nice with the lush green trees. We started off sharing the crab cakes, which were the best part of the meal. When a place respects crab and doesn't add a bunch of unnecessary ingredients and flavors they get a solid thumbs up from me. The Aperol spritz was pretty weird and didn't have much of a flavor, it felt muddled to me. But Hazification is a pretty solid pale ale if you like a lighter fruity profile. The canyon pizza was a gamble and not a good one. The flavors didn't really complement each other at all and dried cherries added onto a pizza after cooking is just weird. I tried it only because we were somewhere different and if it was on the menu someone had to like it... I don't know. I'm wondering how big the pool was that the survey on this one went out to. The scallops however were nicely cooked and the blackberry beurre blanc was perfectly balanced. More proof that they do respect seafood. This was a pretty delicious dish. We mainly forgot that the cauliflower wasn't even potatoes and the bok choy also was even perfectly crisp but tender. The whole plate was watery though. The scallops get a 7/10 and the crab cakes an 8/10. We just couldn't quite justify the price point for not being blown away by anything or for that pizza. Would try other things here but will probably steer clear of being adventurous again. read more

We rode the motorcycle up on a Sunday and it made for the perfect outing. They have parking right up front for the bikes, which is great. The patio was beautiful and such a great place to relax. The stream running past is so pretty and peaceful. Service was friendly and attentive without being over the top. The cider was our favorite -- super refreshing and easy to sip. And the pizza was perfect. Crisp crust, great flavor, and just the right amount of toppings. Between the ride, the patio vibes, and the great food and drinks, we'll definitely be back. Love this location and ambiance! I was sat outside on the front patio and it took 10 minutes for a server to come to my table, I was just about to go back to hostess and ask. I ordered everything right away and service was then really quick. The half salad came out super fast before my drink even. The salad was good and perfect portion. Tried this place on a whim the other night, Ruth's Diner next door was closed, and i was so glad I did! This was a cool brewery with amazing views! A little more on the expensive side, but worth it! Options to sit outside or inside, the mountains and weather this time of year are amazing, so we chose outside. It is very cute inside and out, string lights, music, all around great place to relax. I tried the seasonal cider, some sort of apricot and thyme pairing, and loved it so much I ended up drinking 2! My girlfriends and I split the Amalfi pizza, it came with mushrooms, sundried tomato, pesto, all my favorites. I loved the pizza, light and thin style. Not your typical brewery... elevated and a little more upscale. Beautiful scenery, great outdoor ambiance with the river running along the front of the restaurant. Definitely recommend making a reservation, we had almost an hour wait and walk-ins were not really welcomed (busy Saturday night). Service was great! We loved the drinks and pull apart bread. We were excited to try this place but our whole experience was a letdown. We won't be back or recommend. We looked up the menu before we went and everything we wanted to order the waitress told us wasn't good -- and while we appreciated her honesty, we were disappointed. We ended up ordering three of the things she did recommend and they were good, but not great. The special was a NY strip and that was the best item ordered by anyone at the table (we had a group of 12). Several people ended up ordering pizza. The service was just ok. Kinda slow and our waitress didn't seem to like her job. Getting the bill took a while. It was so loud inside and made it difficult to have a conversation at our own table. read more

We had a tough week and were not planning on going out for Christmas Eve but decided at the last minute that maybe we deserved some happiness and Christmas cheer after all. I grabbed an available 6 PM reservation on a whim and having never been here before, just tacitly hoped for the best. This experience could not have been more perfect. The atmosphere was upscale mountain contemporary, which was warm and inviting. Relaxing, instrumental-only Christmas music played in the background while a fire roared in the lobby. Our server, Ben, had a much better attitude about working on Christmas Eve than I ever could. He was friendly, knowledgeable and just the right level of attentive without making us feel the slightest bit rushed. We started off with cocktails, the Emigration old fashioned and King's Crown were both excellent. Ben then helped us select a red wine to pair with our pizza and we were on our way. The food was fantastic. Everything was delicious and well thought out. We sampled the poblano soup special with crab, the beet salad and canyon pizza, which had pistachios and dried cherries, which was so unique and enjoyable. We finished out an unexpectedly perfect evening with their outstanding pistachio cheesecake and a couple of aperitifs. The pistachio cheesecake was truly exceptional and well worth the $16.00 price tag and probably 1500 calories that this cost. Excellent brunch, extra attentive and friendly service, in a great environment. We were able to celebrate Grandma's 95th here, with 20 people for brunch. The staff was excellent (even put her cake in the cooler for us) while we enjoyed our brunch. Drinks all came out extremely fast, and were all delicious. The food took about 15-20 minutes but was worth the wait. Highly recommend their lattes, Chicken & Biscuit, and burgers. Also the millionaire bacon is fantastic. Lovely spot 10 minutes out of downtown SLC! As you are enjoying a beautiful drive through the canyon, you will come across two dining spots, ruthie's and emigration brewing. I came here for dinner and was far from disappointed! There is an outdoor patio, but this far into the year, it was a tad chilly. The waitstaff was dressed "ski lodge formal" and were bith friendly and attentive. My waiter reccomended the halibut. This came with mushrooms and cauliflower. The ratio of mushrooms to cauliflower was a bit uneven (in the favor of the cauliflower). The fish however, magnificent! Flaky and moist, and the addition of the spicy purée and coconut lime broth it was served with made for my favorite meal of the trip! Additionally, the decor was modern and plenty of skylight allowed for lengthy faxes up into the mountains! Oh and the brewery also has a coffee shop attached if you are heading up early and need some pep ;) read more

Disappointed. We originally came For Ruth's but when we discovered it was an hour wait we decided to hit Emigration Brewing for brunch. I knew it was a sure bet as I've been here several occasional for dinner. Sorely disappointed. We ordered a bowl of elk chili to share and the chilaquiles with steak, chicken fajita omelet, and biscuits and gravy. We waited at least 45 minutes for the chili while the table, who sat after us, received all their entrees. When the food finally arrived the tortillas in the chilaquiles were soggy, the eggs were warm, the steak was all fat (as seen in image), the omelet didn't have the avocado or sour cream. When my sister asked for sour cream and avocado the server replied "Oh, is there not any?" No lady! That took another 5 minutes. I don't know if this was an off day but if this were my first impression (which it was for my sister and brother) I'm not sure I'd come back. I know my brother and sister won't be back. read more

Really disappointed in what used to be a favorite of mine. This place has such a nice ambiance nestled in the canyon and secluded from the city with great service. However, the prices have gotten insane and I can no longer justify going here. Food quality has also dropped considerably with fewer choices, less creativity, and less mention of local sourcing. They need a full shake up of the menu and a reality check on prices before I'll return sadly. Also, don't be fooled - this is not a Brewery. The name trick used to be acceptable when they had a thoughtfully crafted beer menu with local partnerships, but now I can't say their selection differs from the regional norm. Hope this place can get back on track and offer what they used to. read more

This place is pretty good. Food, service, and ambiance were all top notch. For starters we had the beet salad with whipped goat cheese. The strawberry vinaigrette was light and refreshing. The whipped goat cheese was creamy and delicious, and didn't even really taste like typical goat cheese. The beets were tender and slightly sweet/earthy. Next up my entree; I ordered the Chilean sea bass. It was good, but not the best i've ever had. Portion size was great. i wish i would've asked how they prepared it before i ordered it. When I looked online I thought it was going to be seared but it was poached. It was still very good, just not what I wanted. So just double check and make sure the fish is prepped how you want before ordering since it's not explained on the menu. My carrots were also hard and undercooked, I had to pick them up and eat them with my hands. My favorite was the bread pudding dessert. Warm, rich, and delicious with flavorful crunchy floral toppings. This was a great find for us after moving to the area. Great ambiance on the inside (first floor in particular). The upstairs room is large with an awkward layout of tables and if a family with young children comes, it gets rather loud with the vaulted ceilings and wood floor. For a romantic night, I would choose to sit on the first floor or bar area. Pizza was delicious and wine selection was decent. Would love to see a vegetarian or vegan option for dinner!
