She's a great doctor to work with. Compassionate and in touch with the realities id raising small ones. The nurses are amazing and good.

We only saw Dr Curran for three visits but we LOVE this group practice. We saw Dr Vakil (not there anymore but we liked her despite long wait times) and Dr Lew (who we adore). This office is absolutely wonderful with its caring and competent staff. Sherry and Grace, with such warm personalities and bright smiles for us, are two of my favorite people there. I am so sorry we moved out of state and can't see them regularly anymore. I highly recommend this office. read more

I was concerned about my daughter who was sick. When Dr. Curran returned my call because she was the doctor on call she seemed annoyed that I would want professional advice. I was surprised by her lack of compassion and professionalism. I thought doctors who were on call were there to help even if your child's health concerns are questionable. read more

Well they say first impressions mean everything. Consider my wife and I impressed! We had to move up our scheduled first appointment at Providence due to a bad case of colic with our little guy. The staff was very helpful in squeezing us in a last minute appointment. The staff and nurses there were all very friendly and informative. Took the time to get to know us despite having a full house. And Dr. Curran, I can't say enough. She was comforting to both my son and my wife. Took her time. Answered an over analytical Dad's questions. Even when I asked a follow up question to the staff in the hall Dr. C. overheard me and took an extra moment to step out of her office to answer the question herself. My wife and I are quite pleased to have found Dr. Curran and the excellent staff at Providence. read more

I have now been several more times. Some paperwork issues, but everyone in the office has been helpful and nice. Appointment 2: Much better experience. Easier to get appointment. Didn't have to wait long. They seemed responsive to complaints about the previous appointment. Appointment 1: We had to wait over an hour in a very small office. We didn't actually get to see Dr. Curran because it can be months to get an appointment. read more

I called about 2 months ago to set up an appointment and was all set until I was told they don't take that type of insurance. Ok cool. So now I have new insurance and I call just to be told that she hasn't been taking new patients since the beginning of the year. BUT....she might be taking new patients in November DEPENDING on what type of insurance. Really?!? read more

I don't understand how this doctors office offers same day sickness appointment to their patients but when it comes down to making the appointment for the same day,they end up saying they don't have room to take any patients but to refer to the emergency room. Really? I brought my son in for the dr to assess his cough because it was a concern the dr told me to give him Benadryl due to possibly environmental allergies for 3 days (I did) but no change. And his cough was very obvious and she did not give me any kind of clarity as to why he was coughing so much. Yup,Benadryl was the answer! (Sarcasm) (today)I call in a week and a half later to have him rechecked because his cough is obviously not from the environment but they refuse to take my so in. What did I pay for if my son's health was not properly assessed? Simply wasted my time and insurance benefits. Definitely,not coming back. read more

Dr. Emily Curran is the most outstanding pediatrician and I feel blessed that my two children are in her care. We have been coming to see Dr. Curran since my oldest was 2 weeks old, and we have always felt that we are in the best, most capable hands whenever we see her. She is extremely kind, funny, intelligent, patient, knowledgeable about latest research etc and my kids absolutely love her! You never feel rushed and she always takes her time to answer all of your questions. Today, my daughter dressed up in her "Doc McStuffins" costume and was going around the house saying she was Dr. Curran and has said she wants to be a doctor just like her one day. She has showed our family care and compassion time and time again, and it brings tears to my eyes to think about how she comforted me when my son, who was 6 weeks old at the time, contracted RSV and was hospitalized with pneumonia. Dr. Curran calmed my fears, was so positive and encouraging, and even called me to check on the baby while we were at the hospital. She is amazing and the rest of her staff is too! The medical assistants in her office are top notch and her front office staff members are always friendly and helpful. They always show different movies in the waiting room and my daughter never wants to leave because she really likes it there. The kids look forward to seeing the doctor! This practice, including the other pediatricians, is fantastic just all the way around and I can't tell you enough how much it means to me to be in this office and to have my kids in the most excellent hands. Dr. Emily Curran has been wonderful. We chose her for the care of our first born daughter and she has been great. As first time parents, many questions and concerns arise and she has been nothing but helpful. She takes her time during visits and returns our phone calls promptly. Dr. Curran is a great pediatrician! My husband and I met with her when we were 'shopping' for a doctor shortly before the birth of my son. As a soon to be first-time mom, I was fairly worried about making sure my little guy was going to end up in good hands. We definitely made the right choice. Dr. Curran has been absolutely wonderful. It's clear she really cares about what she does and although she's a busy doctor, we always feel like our son is her #1 priority. She's responsive when I have questions and I've never felt rushed when meeting with her. The times I've had to call her for phone advice she is quick to call back and address concerns I might have. I've only been to the Torrance office and find the staff super friendly and good at what they do. My average wait time is usually around 10 minutes and I don't believe I have ever waited more than 20 minutes. read more

Dr Curran is wonderful. I have five children, so we've seen plenty of pediatricians. She is so kind and patient with my little children. She has been helpful with all of our concerns and has followed up with us on several occasions to make sure that we were well taken care of and that little ones were mending well. We just saw Dr. Curran today for some ongoing issues my 3yo has been having and we are so happy to have found her! We have been with the same pediatrician since birth and had been hoping to find a better fit within our insurance plan. Our previous doctor was good and very popular, but I think she was too popular. Always very late and never had much time to really explain anything to us. Every appointment was very rushed. Our appointment with Dr. Curran was completely different. She took a great amount of time to ask many questions and when she was explaining things was so thorough and patient. I now feel I fully understand the recommendation of how to treat our daughter and know the long term plan as well. She also made alternative suggestions that were more of a holistic approach, not simply treating it with a prescription, which we love. We have found the pediatrician for our family and would highly recommend her to other families! read more

Due to a change in insurance, we had to leave our first ever pediatrician. It was a daunting experience to think about replacing her. We are SO lucky to have found this office. All three Doctors are so helpful and willing to answer questions. The nursing staff has been really good with my kids, especially as one has a huge fear of shots! Although Dr. Curran is amazing herself, her staff is s whole different story. Expect to have a long wait to see Dr. Curran. They don't care how old your child is, how long you've been waiting and will lie to you. I had waited over 45 minutes EACH time and they didn't do anything about it. read more

dr. curran and all her staff are incredible. you can tell they truly care about their patients and families. we never feel rushed and there's only been one occasion in an emergency we weren't able to get an appointment and had to go to urgent care. the only thing i would note is she doesn't go to the hospital to see your newborn, but that wasn't an issue for us. read more
