I have taken both headshots and family photos with Emily. The headshots were taken in her studio. She has a lot of good backdrops to choose from. She even arranged for someone to do my make up. We took our family photos outside at locations recommended from Emily. They are all so beautiful that it was hard to pick one. She's great with dogs! Our pooch is notorious for turning his head when a camera comes out but somehow she got the perfect shot!

Oxana Alex's photos are my absolute best pictures and the warmest memories I will cherish for a lifetime. The Session & Atmosphere This time, we had a maternity photoshoot at 30 weeks. I am currently pregnant with our third child. We took photos of just me, and also with my husband and children. The session took place in late October 2025 and it went simply wonderfully. Oxana is the most gentle, caring, and patient person; she creates a beautiful atmosphere on set. Hair and Makeup Oxana had an incredible makeup artist who works for various brands, but mainly has been a makeup artist for the House of Dior for many years. I had the pleasure of having my hair and makeup done by her. It was stress-free, all on time, and the hair and makeup were simply stunning. Why Oxana Alex is the Best While deciding on my concepts, I looked through the portfolios of all the photographers in LA and can confidently say that Oxana's work is the best. Oxana and her studio have undeniable advantages: 1. Unmatched Professionalism and Lighting The key to a beautiful photograph is the lighting setup. I don't know how she does it, but all her photographs, even before editing, look absolutely perfect! This speaks volumes about her skill, technique, and camera equipment. 2. Extensive Premium Wardrobe Oxana has a huge wardrobe of premium items that she offers to clients for their shoots. You can be sure to find jewelry and looks for any creative idea, and it will look cool and stylish. The most difficult part for me was coordinating outfits for my family of four without a stylist: finding, ordering and trying on. I was so happy that I didn't have to put together my own outfit at all! I only bought underwear and one white blouse for myself. That's it! Everything else was provided by Oxana and fit perfectly. I also didn't want bulky dresses, as I feel they are going out of style; I wanted to be a stylish pregnant mom with more of a fashion focus. Thanks to her extensive wardrobe, we were able to achieve this as well as beautiful maternity gowns. 3. Professional Eye and Industry Experience With over 10 years in the industry, mostly shooting major bloggers and celebrities for covers, Oxana has a huge aesthetic background and an incredible sense of taste. She helps with posing and facial expressions. Even if you are not a professional model, it's impossible not to become one through her lens. 4. Unique Photo Delivery Policy The fact that she gives you all the successful, unedited photos is truly unique for Los Angeles. You only have to choose which of the many great photos you want edited. When I sent the unedited pictures to my relatives for help choosing, they didn't understand why they even needed editing?! That's how good the originals turned out! My daughter is a dancer but can also be shy and Cassandra made her feel so comfortable. The moment you walk in you are greeted with a warm welcome then shown back to the cutest room were you can change and do touch ups. Shane and I have been friends for some time, and while I've always admired his work, I've always found myself wondering how he is able to work with such beautiful, aesthetically symmetrical and professional models who look natural, not posed, and always alluring. I had a chance recently to work with Shane on a set of photos to remember myself by because I'm going in for a major, planned but required surgery which will alter my appearance permanently. I honestly wasn't sure how it would go, considering (1) we are friends (2) I am ULTIMATE awkward. I in no way could ever imagine myself looking anything like anyone in his portfolio and much less appealing somehow. I just wanted to remember myself as I am, whatever that was, awkward and all. Boy, I was not prepared for how elevating this experience was, and it really is an experience. This is not a photography session, it's a therapy session (lol). Shane is natural, friendly, but also funny, thoughtful, insightful, and encouraging. The way he guides you through a session is just a hang out, and we had so much to catch up on in the time we spent together since it had been years since we last hung out. And somewhere in the midst of catching up, sharing stories, laughing and making fun of ourselves, something magical happens. I'm forever grateful for this experience with Shane because it was truly an amazing way to honor my body and myself, even as I found myself unexpectedly in this current stage in life. I felt incredibly present, empowered, and beautiful, things I could never use to honestly and truthfully describe about myself. Definitely 80000000% recommend working with Shane.

Posting a follow-up as I've received direct messages from random Yelpers over the past few months…read morestating they had similar frustrations as me or asking about my concluding experience. After continued attempts to get a hold of Angela via phone and emails, I finally tried TEXTING Angela in November. I was happy to see a text response from her! but then baffled when I read her message. I've attempted to post screenshots of the text exchange but it appears only a portion is posting. In summary, Angela stated she felt she was harassed by me and would not respond to my bullying tactics. Again, I was dumbfounded. Ultimately, she refused to return our $100 deposit and went silent on us again. In hindsight, I should have noticed that most of the Yelp reviews are over a year old. I don't see any recent reviews which should have been a red flag. I hope Angela is able to improve her operations and customer experience as she is clearly talented at taking beautiful photos.

For the newborn photoshoot, we spent the full four hours in Angela's studio, which allowed me, a first time mom, to really enjoy the process. Angela took great care of us every step of the way, from making sure the baby is comfortable during the naked baby pictures, to making sure mom and dad look ready and stress-free for the family pictures. I'm extremely happy with how the pictures turned out and the grandparents are so in love with all the pictures.
