If I could give zero stars, I would. It started badly. I changed my mind on the original polish that I had asked for, and I am assuming that upset the nail tech who did my feet. She seemed irritable and started with rude gestures and talking about me in their language. Her work was sloppy & rushed. Then she attempted to wax my brows, and the rude behavior continued. She was upset because after she leaned my head back in the chair, she wanted to throw wax on my brows without brushing them or doing anything to them. When I asked about it, she asked me if I wanted them waxed or not. I said no and got out of the chair. I wasn't going to give another dime after that. My manicure was done by a different tech, a guy. He wasn't rude, but his customer service was off, and his work wasn't great either. He put my hands in clear water with no cuticle softener or anything else. He did not soak off my gel polish. He didn't clean under my nails until I asked. I can tell he didn't appreciate me asking. He buffed my nail bed so much, the UV light burned my nails when he put them in the dryer. I'm sure my nail bed is as thin as a piece of paper now. He did not clean the polish around my cuticles. The finished product did not look fresh at all....sloppy work. I said I wasn't going back in the past, but I am soooo serious now. I'm NEVER going there again. They only want our money. They DO NOT care about their customers. The man doing my nails was very rude and rushed on my nails. He couldn't do anything I asked for. The young woman was very patient and thorough. We'll visit there again very clean and service was excellent.

The owner is very pushy and doesn't let you deny services even if your experience was poor. One of her workers began on my toes with an attitude, and I told her I was no longer interested in the service... I'll take my money elsewhere. Then, the manager came to my chair a few minutes later and insisted some man could do them better for me and completely disregarded how her worker treated me. I had specific request on the shaping of my toes and minimal acrylic powder.. but I got the exact opposite once again and everyone acted like they couldn't understand me. The man continued to try and file my toes to convince me to like the shaping; but it was terrible. I've tried to give them my service many times because it's in my community but never again. Luckily, a nice lady saw how poorly they were treating me and gifted me $40 towards my service. At least they have nice customers, lol. read more

I had heard good things from a few people in the area who said that they went to this nail salon to get their nails done and once I came in and they told me that the full set start at 45 I was anticipating for it to be a good set or at least a decent one. I showed him the picture of what I was looking for and unfortunately even though the colors werent an exact match, I wasn't too upset about that to make a complaint but what I was upset about is paying $70 for medium length and a crappy job. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!, They DO NOT sanitize their instruments. During my manicure, the tech drew blood and put the instruments right back in the tray. Once he was finished with me, he went and sat in one of the spa chairs to wait for the next customer. Just imagine the cross contamination. read more

I have tried this nail salon several times for eyebrows and each time they made my brow thinner. Plus the shape of my brows were unevenly waxed. I tried a pedicure 1 time and I now have a severe fungus under both my big toes. They are literally green. I am now at my wits end and do not now how to handle this concern. The worst experience I've had at a nail salon in quite some time. From the 1.5 hour wait to be serviced, to the 2 hours it took to get a pedicure and full set; hands down the worst customer service in this area. The man that prepared my nails to soak, immediately took a nail clip To my pinky nail because I could protest. He assumed that my long nails where fake (tips). He apologized, but that could have very well be avoided had he asked me before reaching for his clippers. The pedicure was subpar. The tech that did my full set was obtuse yet arrogant. He did a decent job with the acrylic application but cut up my cuticles with the electrical drill. Ouch!!! Then they charged me because my nails were "long". My nails were not long enough for an extra fee (see photos) and they cut my finger and my nail. Just don't go here. There are better options in the area that appreciate their customers. read more

I've been here a few times and the best thing about Emily's is the location. Every time, it's been "something." Whether arguing with customers, loading ppl in the basins w/o a clear time for service, or the lack of cleanliness and customer service. Today was the last time for meeee. Took my visiting aunt there and she asked for a French pedicure, the lady tried to tell her to get one color. They also tried to sit us at some dirty chairs! I appreciate Steven taking time to take off my nails that a previous technicians poorly did causing significant damage to my nails, but having to remind someone that "it's about customer service" bothered me after saying it to him 3 times. I went in on a Thursday for a gel manicure. Here is why I gave them a 3 out of 5. 1. I asked to get a not opened, sanitized pack of tools. Having received an infection before from sorry tools, I am extra cautious. The nail tech rolled his eyes and said the tools are clean, then proceeded to take an opened pack of tools and spray them with alcohol. 2. My gel polish lasted only four days before they started chipping. Gel polish should last at least two weeks. 3. My tech was doing triple duty - my nails, seating other customers, and ringing people up. I was not the focus and felt rushed. I will not be returning. read more

Today I took my 4-year-old daughter to get her first pedicure. It was not a good experience, and I left feeling very disappointed. The staff members are indifferent and don't seem to make any effort where customer service is involved. They didn't care we were there, and I wish we had left, but my daughter was very excited. We were left standing around as I wondered who I should speak to about the services we came for. We were barely spoken to, but as a male staff member made eye contact with me I told him we wanted a kiddie pedicure and a polish change. He said, "You can sit over there." Over there became obvious as I scoped out the room and noticed a pink child-sized chair on the left. Unfortunaly this was the same guy who did both of our services. He was lazy and unprofessional. I had to ask him to do another coat of polish on my toes because initially, the polish was thin and slightly transparent. When it came to my daughter's pedicure, he made very little effort and was incredibly sloppy. When he slipped her shoes on he rubbed her big toe on her right foot against the shoe and the polish rubbed off. Instead of removing the smudged polish that was still on her toe, he attempted to flatten it out with his finger. Then he put another coat of polish over that. It was lumpy, and I was baffled! I said, "Excuse me, will you please remove the polish and paint that toe over?" I thought I heard him scoff, but I didn't care. I was paying for a service and I wanted it done correctly. My daughter wasn't impressed, and neither was I. Nail salons are a dime a dozen, so this isn't a situation where we have to patronize this business. I will find a shop with better customer service. I will not go where my presence is not appreciated. I will not take my daughter back to a place where she is not appreciated. I am better than that. WE are better than that. read more

For over nearly a year, I would go into the salon for a gel manicure and regular pedicure and get asked to try the dip as opposed to the gel. Today I thought I would give it a try and regret it 100%. I had to keep telling the guy doing my nails that he wasn't covering the entire nail bed and to file the dip down because it was too thick. I also had to point out all the glue under the nails. I was so involved with him that I didn't even see the mess my toes were in. The paint job was garbage. I asked to clean my toes up. She told me the mess wasn't nail polish it was skin - well even more of a reason to clean my toes up - but since I know it wasn't skin, I told her to take the polish off! She said something to the owner, who said something else to someone else and ultimately, they repainted my toes. I'm disappointed. Think I'll fall back from them for a while. I feel like when they get comfortable with you coming in and patronizing their establishment, they get start rushing and in some cases, get lazy. read more

As he was taking the gel polish off my nails, the debris was clouding his phone, he then BLOWS the debris on me to make sure his phone was clean. After that he starts to use the other tool on my nails (still while being concerned with being on the internet) and picked at my skin so much that he spent the whole time trying to clean the blood from my thumb while trying to paint my nails. My thumb wouldn't not stop bleeding. I know he knows what he did because he no longer was on his phone the whole time, now he was focused. I'm not sure if how he cleaned it was even sanitary. I have tried repeatedly to give this place a try. The nail tech named Van has done my nails a half a dozen times. Usually I don't complain because I'm not that picky about a lot of things. However I'm just tired of Van bragging about how much of a perfectionist he is with everything, but he really is not and just talks a lot. Saying how much he pays attention to details and don't like doing nails too thin because they brake easily that way. Well I'll let you be the judge of my nails. The white is showing on at least 3 of my nails, they are paper thin, and one has cracked already. And what you can't see from the photos is how they bow out on the sides where he didn't file properly after putting on the tips. I just got them done Saturday afternoon, today is Monday. I will not be returning no matter how close it is to my house. Sometimes convenience of location is not worth wasting money, between SNS, pedicure, and tip I spent $120. Went on a Saturday, had polish on my toes nails (not gel) asked the tech to not use a drill because it'd damage my toe nails. She got an attitude, packed her cart and walked off. Then another lady came to do my finger nails and she wanted to cut them down when I only wanted a fill. I decided it was time to go, but 3 people stood over me telling me to stay. So beyond my better judgment I did. That same night one mail cracked off, 2 nails gel paint was peeling. My nails are bumpy and have dips. When I returned for a repair they wanted me to wait until the same crappy tech finished with a clients hands and feet before she fixed mine. He was rude and unprofessional and treated me as a poor black girl who didn't want to pay for my nails. When I brought this to the management's attention they said they would let the owner know and did not offer to discount or make my experience better. Entered establishment at 7:30 PM and a guy came in behind me and said they were closed. The open sign was lout and the store hours said closing time was 8PM. I told the guy I only needed a color change; he replied that they take the last customer at 7pm. I asked him if he could get someone to do it or not. There were 2 people finishing their feet and one tech just sitting there. He said he would go ahead and do it. He used the drill to remove my polish and scraped my cuticle. When he scraped my cuticle again I told him that he was hurting me and felt it was on purpose. He then grabbed my hang nail with his nails and was going to pull it until I stopped him and demanded that he get cuticle clippers to cut it and to stop rushing and do my polish correctly. We were almost done by 7:50 and one woman was still there finishing her toes. She left a couple Minutes before me as I was finishing drying. We were completely done by the posted closing time! I let him know how I did not appreciate that he was being rude and unprofessional when it was time to pay. He apologized to me and said his child had a fever and he needed to get home. I told him that I hope his child is ok and went on to explain I'd just flew back in town from my mother's funeral and wanted to get fresh polish as my nails were a mess after being gone for weeks. I could have left and went somewhere else but after the service was started, I should expect that it is finished and in a professional manner. The laziest LUXURY pedicure I have ever experienced! The description included an extended massage from knee to foot with your choice of scented lotion; that didn't happen. The only thing the tech said to me was "big shoes. What size shoe do you wear?" Overall, the staff didn't seem to respect "us" within this community. We sat in the pedicure chairs for 30 minutes before anyone acknowledged us or even put water in the bowls for our feet to soak.
