Came to this nail shop to get my nails done. In the beginning the service was amazing. Once it was time to pay they added extra fees that wasn't discussed before they started my nails. Once I told them I was not in agreement with the amount they were charging me which was for the length and the shape the nail tech offered to cut my nails shorter which she cut them so short you couldn't tell I had a nail on them. I then told her don't worry about it and to take my nails off because she made them as short as my original nail. She told me she wouldn't soak them off unless I paid for a soak off. She then had another worker come and cut them all up in different shapes which I now have to figure out how to remove the acrylic off of my nails. Please don't come to this shop. DO NOT SUPPORT Emily's Nails They will steal money by charging you one price ... you pay the bill and then they will claim to have forgotten to charge you for a service and go back and charge more money without you knowledge. (The first pic is the bill that was paid in full on 6/1/19 itself and today 6/6/19 the owner called herself writing on the original customer receipt the breakdown of the cost of the services trying to justify the charge.) As told the mgr... it's not our fault that the employee forgot to "charge for all services." The total bill came up to $88.00 which was paid in full. Customer leaves and has gone home. Sometime during the day Emily's Nails employee realizes he made an error, so he goes back and re-charges the customers account without the customers knowledge after they got home. (That is the second pic)They didn't even give the courtesy of making a Call to the customer to explain the issue. They took it upon themselves without the customers knowledge to just charge the customers card account. Where do they do that? That's the loss that the company just should have taken because it was their fault not the customers fault that they forgot to charge service. So instead of making this right by reimburse of the customer the over-charge of $33 which a $10 tip was left so all they had to reimburse really was $23, they don't wanna give any money back on their error. Not sure where San Franciso, CA came from I live in Atlanta, GA and tried giving this hella spot a chance cuz it's convenient to the house. If 0 stars possible that's what they'd get; spent $45 on a fill and nail repair and my nails look like a 5 yr old could have done a better job. What baffles me is how non-cholent they act when you bring a problem to their attention. I mean the guy doing my nails and the one doing my feet could clearly see that I was pointing out quite a few mis-haps on my nails, like polish getting on my cuticles, the bottom of my nail bed, the polish is dipping up and down, acrylic not smoothed out, and rushing me to pick a color. I said I wanted white (just speaking out loud) and the guy doing my feet took it upon himself to go get a white that I didn't want then got attitude when I told him the no., off the swatch. Beware of going here anytime after 5pm because they start rushing and being careless trying to hurry up and be done b4 7pm I'm guessing. My thing is, if you can't accommodate me and complete a good service in the time you have left open, just tell me that and I can come back another day or visit another salon, (Trying to get that money). I think this shops allows technicians who usually only do pedicures to try to do acrylic when they have literally no experience to be doing a nail job that somebody has to pay for. It's also sad that women my same ethnicity go to lookin crazy and making sly remarks when you speak up for yourself to these Asians who are doing your nails. Don't even think about going. The worst experience I have had at any salon. My nails look like a child had done them. When questioned the look of my nails the OWNER said you keep touching your nails. Mind you the young man who polished my nails kept touching them to see if they were dry and because he smudged the polish he would polish over the already polished nail. At the very top of each nail there was No polish and on the sides of my nails the polish had dripped. On top of that when confronted the young man and the owner (who does not want to address any problems) told the young man to take the polish off and put MORE on (REALLY). Terrible Terrible. I wish I could rate it no stars. You are better off doing your nails at home. I came for basic paint on toes and was roughed around. On another occasion, I came in to have some nails soaked off. The lady was extremely rough once again and I asked her kindly to be soaked off instead. She ignored me twice. Her coworker sitting 2 feet away from us also ignored as she made eye contact with me. The woman then stormed off and went to do eyebrows. Then she came back and attempted to remove the nails in the same way I told her was very painful I did not leave this place for another hour and a half. For this place to be in a Black community like most, it is important that they are kind and helpful. They are the opposite. Take your money where you're appreciated. First experience was I went to get my eyebrows waxed and a little lady waxed half of my eyebrow off and got hot wax in my hair and face. Image trying to take wax out your real hair and I still had to pay. Fast foward to today they wouldnt file my cuticle for a color change. They literally took my old polish off and tried to tack on some more without shaping, cutting, and filing. They tried to up sale me to get a $22 pedicure. I went to a new salon in the marketplace called Lush. Walked right in on a Friday and was sat down with service started and they had impeccable service! They file, cut, and shape your nail with color change. My gel nails look awesome. I live right next to Emily's, but I will drive the extra 5 miles to get better service in a new, bigger, and upgraded salon. read more

I couldn't recommend this salon any less than I do. Do no come to this nail salon! A few of the techs here are skilled, however there's been times when my nails lifted the day after they were done. I'm here currently and I've been getting a pedicure forever. The lady who was doing my feet left to do someone else's nails. Had I not threatened to leave, I'd still be sitting here with my feet in murky, cold water. Upon arrival I told the lady I needed a fill and pedicure. The lady JUST comes over to tell me no one can do my nails and I'll have to come back tomorrow. The first time I went to Emily Nails in early 2015, I was satisfied with my gel manicure. I returned for a pedicure and was marginally satisfied with the outcome. This was my 3rd or 4th visit here and I am done. Andy has done 2 or 3 of my pedicures and he is impersonal, and performs his job with what looks like a scowl on his face. I was trying to get his attention while he was doing my pedicure to ask a question; he pretended not to hear me and kept working. I pulled my foot away and he hesitated to look up to acknowledge what I was saying. His foot massage is weak. The foot scrub he gives is equally weak and I had to ask for him to clip my toenails! Seriously?!?! It's a pedicure! He also was not thorough with 'cleaning out the toenail bed'. At least his polish job was acceptable. I didn't rate this establishment with 1 star is because the ladies who perform the manicures are good. The first few times that I went there, it was on weekdays earlier in the week, but this last visit was on a busy Friday evening. Not sure if that's relevant to the outcome though. Pressure to get through the numbers (clients) + decreased quality of work = poor customer satisfaction. I will be going elsewhere. read more

I would give this salon zero stars if I could. The staff is very unprofessional & have no clue how to give good customer service. The man doing my nails didn't ask me what I wanted, he just started cutting them and then yelled the price at me when I told him I wanted longer nails. He repeatedly cut the skin around my nails with the drill and then had an attitude with me when I'd ask him nicely to stop. Also, he put an extreme amount of acrylic monomer (liquid) on the skin around my nails. Because of this, I have been overexposed to the chemicals & now have a permanent allergy to acrylic nails. In the midst of me picking my color he was doing my nails so I didn't really get a chance to pick a color I want.
