I was so excited by the variety of flavors, I got the key lime, cannoli with caramel, and guava mango, but I also was tempted to try banana pudding, lemon blueberry and pb&j. However the key lime had an overly sweet icing and an artificially tasting lime filling. The mango guava glazed had a tropical tasting filling that kinda gave mango but didn't taste like guava at all which was disappointing because I love guava pastries. But maybe that's my bad and I should've got the guava glazed and not the guava mango. The cannoli was the best and was quite tasty. Slightly expensive at around $11.50 for three donuts but the cannoli one is huge. I would get the cannoli again but not the other two.

Get here early! I was on the hunt for cronuts and I found Emily's. Came in around 10 on a weekday. Parking was easy and we were immediately greeted when we walked in. It definitely has that mom and pop shop vibe. The selection was limited but we grabbed half a dozen and thankfully there were still a few cinnamon sugar cronuts left. Also, there is a military discount. As for the donuts...all were very good but the cronut was my favorite. A bit sweet but to be expected for cinnamon sugar. Next time I'll get there early for my classic glazed cronut fix!

Cute little donut & coffee shot, definitely a local spot. Employees were super friendly and patient, service was fast despite the busy Saturday morning. Coffee was hot & fresh, though the paper cups were a bit flimsy. Salted Carmel donut was my favorite, cake donuts were just okay.

The pastries here remain among the best I've ever had. The blueberry fritter is unreasonably good. It is super crunchy and sugary on the outside and soft on the inside. We bought half a dozen to freeze at home for later. The latte specials are also very good, and very customizable.

L-R & then Top to Bottom -- Cinnamon apple, empty space of split cream lol, salted caramel, raspberry, cinnamon sugar cronut, maple bacon.

We love finding new donut places, and this was really close to an escape room we had booked later that afternoon. The parking lot was plentiful and we had no problem parking. We enter and it's a bit chaotic. There were a few girls working, and it's tight ordering with two cases filled with donuts and other goodies. You may be ordering over other people and dancing with them to swap cases. We got an assorted half dozen but you pay per type of donut/bakery item so there's no set price. We got a: split cream, salted caramel, maple bacon, raspberry filled, apple cinnamon and a cinnamon sugar cronut. Everything we got was so intensely sweet. You ever get that sensation when you bite something so sweet your teeth physically hurt? It was a doozy. I was really excited to try the split cream, but I found I didn't enjoy the filling. Idk what it was, but I knew I immediately did not like it. The salted caramel was good. My preferred of the few I had was definitely the maple bacon. I wish they had more bacon on top as I think the salty aspect would have complimented the sweetness overload but it was still fine. I also feel it would have done better as a ring versus a full circle because it's not even filled lol. I didn't try the rest as my teeth couldn't hang, but my husband did say the rest were just as sweet and nothing to write home about. Overall I wasn't super thrilled with our purchase, especially for how much we ended up paying, but we had a new experience nonetheless.

Still LOVING Emily's this is still our favorite donut cafe! The service is top tier and they are always smiling and friendly they are like family when you enter and the selection is only getting better! It's like stopping by a good friend's and grabbing your favorite treat! My new favorite is the fruity cereal topped donut! Also the cronut Never disappoints! This place is always bright, welcoming & cheerful!!!

I arrived minutes before the 1:00 closing, and rushed through the purchase of a half dozen donuts, forgetting to take photos of the moment. Regardless, Emily's knows donuts and I was fortunate to be able to run in and free a few hostages. The shop is small, with a counter display and a few tables for those who prefer to linger. Self serve java is available and hot. Their inventory was somewhat limited due to the hour, but they still had a pastel collection of cake and yeast rounders with colorful frosting and tasty fillings. I went with 2 Glazed, 2 Blueberry Glazed, 1 Strawberry Frosted and a Peanut Butter & Jelly filled pillow. My sister and I shared them and we agreed these were outstanding exemplars of the genus Donuticus Americani. The colors were rich and suggested the flavor rush to come. The yeasties were soft and their icing gave way nicely with each bite. The berry choices were uber sweet and could be smelled as well as tasted. The jelly gushed out when bitten, and required a little dexterity to avoid dropping its load on the ground. A real treat! The coffee could have been fresher, but the shop was in the process of closing and we were advised of that before deciding to pour a cup. Kudos to Emily and family for building a great little business, and keeping it going through thick and thin.

Well, "teh machine was broke" at Krispy Kreme and they didn't have any glazed. Which led me to Sugar Shack Dounts. It's sort of in the Fan (I guess?) thank goodness for GPS or I'd never find it. Very small parking lot. No inside seating, all grab and go. Anyway. Walked in, scanned the donut case. Lots of Gucci looking donuts (I'm a big fan of glazed and chocolate iced...basic donuts). didn't see any glazed but they did have chocolate ice. Seemed somewhat busy for a Saturday morning (surprise? not to me, but apparenlty a surprise to whoever schedules people to work there). Service wasn't necessarily slow, but adding up the gucci coffees and all the door-dash (I'm assuming....there was a tape machine by the cash register steadily spitting out tickets) it was busy for one (then two) people to handle. Service was friendly enough. Second person showed up...placed my order, 3 chocolate glazed. $8! are you kidding? $8 for 3 donuts. Crazy. But I bought them. Went to my car to eat. So (after eating my 3 chocolate iced donuts): oh my. They were spectacular. A little "thicker" or "firmer" than a Krispy Kreme....and the chocolate ice stayed on the donut, solid, the whole time. Great flavor (donut and chocolate). So, yeah, you get what you pay for. I certainly wouldn't eat there everyday, or take a bunch of kids there.....but every once in a while? A nice treat.

While there…read moreis no shortage of great filipino food in NYC, this place does something quite special which is hard to find - merging authentic filipino flavors in a well-crafted, delicious and new way. Everything I've had here is delicious, but here are some of my favorites: UBE BLONDIES *** Probably one of their most signature items that stays on the menu season to season, this crumbly, satisfyingly dense, soft baked good with that nice punch of ube flavor will really have you coming back for more. The frosting glaze is just perfect, adding that sweetness that carries the ube flavor really nicely. The texture is just soooo satisfying, you can just tell when you cut your fork through it that it has this airy, yet dense and crumbly texture. TURON FRITTER Kind of like an apple fritter, but oh so crumbly, delicious, bright, and soft on the inside. Also had their brown sugar boba pudding cup when it came out, and it was really good; the tapioca actually blended quite nicely and was chewy and fresh, which means you're not stuck chewing it forever. Definitely on the sweeter side, but brown sugar items tend to be that way.
