Something about this donut shops gives me major home town vibes, even though I didn't grow up in Richmond. The feeling of instant nostalgia when you walk in is like no other. There is a huge assortment of donuts on the wall and other pastries in the case. I chose an assortment of six donuts but had a hard time picking which ones I wanted. The glazed Bavarian cream was the winner of the bunch. The donuts were soft, not greasy and had a good amount of filling! There is not a day that goes by I don't want a Country's donut.. My old coworker used to mention this place a lot since he knew I was a donut fan and I had to make my way here. What I think is most special about Country Style Donuts is the nostalgia. Upon visiting last week we spoke with who I believe was the manager who gave us a brief history of the building. This location has been in operation since 1968 and still has the old counter in place.
