My 21 year old granddaughter had her ears pierced today by Vera. Vera was so client focused on my granddaughter and being sure that her choice of the stud was perfect for her. Vera's husband Wolf came in and was very engaged in conversation with us. The atmosphere of the store was so relaxing and friendly, let alone the beautiful selection of jewelry---at prices so incredibly reasonable. When my granddaughter got home she said that she didn't want to say anything in the store, however she felt that her right piercing was a spec lower than her left. We called Vera back, and without the slightest hesitation, she told us to come back and that she would re-do my granddaughter's right ear. We went back and Vera again took her time, focused on my granddaughter and got the piercing in the exact location that my granddaughter wanted. This most personalized customer service and focus made an incredible impression on myself and my granddaughter. Last week I was invited to attend a zoom party hosted by Vera Wolf and her husband. Due to Covid-19, I wasnt able to get my "fix" of some jewelry. This amazing store has items from upscale costume jewelry to gems. Today, I received my purchase of a Firefly necklace and earrings. They are totally breathtaking! I can not wait to wear them. I love this place!! The jewelry is all so nice and is very affordable compared to its fabulous quality. I went here before Christmas to pick up a gift for my grandmother, and was pleased with the patience of the staff as a did go through a couple necklaces before choosing the right one. Once at the register they had a good selection of chains to choose from. The lady at the register gave me a nice selection of wrapping paper and bows toand wrapped the gift for me. In summary this is a great place with amazing staff and a great selection of high end jewelry, I would highly recommend going here. read more

This review is based on my from my "blast from the past" shopping experiences. I grew up in Guilford and this was my place to splurge on jewelry! In fact, my brother's ex-girlfriend introduced me to this place back in 1999. I always on counted them for their well-priced, well-made sterling silver jewelry. In recent years, they had other cool costume jewelry. Each time I visit, I have always been happily greeted by either a young employee or Vera herself. Small family run jewelry shop in the town center of Guilford. When my wife and I were there, the owner and his daughter were running the shop. They were both extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The owner designs all of the jewelry, which is made in Bali. Very intricate pieces: sterling silver, pewter, and fused glass primarily. Also very reasonably priced. This shop is highly recommended if you like whimsical jewelry, and is a very pleasant shopping and browsing experience. read more

My sister and I went here to get our ears pierced and it could not have been better. They had a wonderful selection of studs with a price for every budget. Everything was very professional and the service was fantastic. After the piercing there was a wonderful variety of jewelry for us to look at. My 16-year-old daughter got her ears pierced by Vera at Vera Wolf. The experience was fantastic. Vera recommended a very affordable titanium pair ($21). The piercing was included in the price. Vera took her time marking the piercing location on my daughter's ears and get her -- and my -- feedback on the placement. After we both said "sure, looks fine" Vera stood back and said, "I think I should adjust one." She then erased the dot and redrew it, and stood back again. We all agreed the new placement was better. Basically, Vera had higher standards than we did! The piercing itself was quick and painless, and she gave my daughter excellent care instructions. The store is filled with beautiful, affordable jewelry with an earthy flair. We look forward to returning when my daughter's ears are ready for new earrings and stocking up. We highly recommend Vera Wolf for piercing -- far more professional, calm and caring than a Piercing Pagoda or Claire's -- and jewelry. read more
