Emirates has the best airplane ever . Welcome to the A380 experience! Hubby and I flew internationally to Dubai & South Africa! Great entertainment ! Movie and TV choices were plentiful! The selection was world class and varied from Hollywood to Bollywood to Nollywood! Lots of room for walking and also restrooms were decent! On our 16 hour flight to Dubai they offered two full meals plus a pizza or sandwich snack. The had unlimited beverages and offered them on demand throughout the flight. On our 8 hour flight to South Africa the entertainment was better and had a greater selection from the continent. Great engines, superior room and excellent flight! Felt like luxury from the moment we boarded till we arrived in Dubai! We spent 2 nights in Dubai! Amazing time and deserves a whole chapter itself! Super impressed with this world class airline! One star less for the fact that we had to pay for the seats after purchasing our tickets !! Otherwise I highly recommend!

Have been traveling between USA and India+Dubai for the past 16 years. We had many bad experiences with them in the past with staff behaving rude to us. Borderline racism in every process from check in through on board staff . Over the years we switched away to Singapore Airlines due to the way better experiences we have had with them I however had to do a quick trip to Dubai on October 9th and had no other option but to take emirates. Staff has improved in their behavior however I found a large screw in the food. I have attached a photo of it with this review. Staff didn't seem bothered with the find and didnt consider it as a big quality problem. I was offered a replacement meal however Overall I would recommend staying away from this airline. Never had a food issue with any airline I have travelled with including lower cost domestic ones like Frontier and Spirit

Welcome aboard the Airbus A380-800, the largest passenger airliner ever put into service, with 623 passengers and 3 connecting bridge gates! We made reservations from San Francisco to Nairobi, with a stopover in Dubai. Want to reserve a specific seat? Starting in late 2016 it will cost $40 per person for the first part of the flight, and $25 for the second portion of the flight, or $260 for both person for the entire 4 legs of the roundtrip! Or you can wait until 48 hours before the flight to pick your seat for free, for that portion of the flight only. Lots of seats available even in window and aisle 4 days before the flight. 48 hours before the flight, we log in, and a message appears to try again later. Hundreds of people logging in at exactly 48 hours before the flight, crashed the system. I call direct, and all aisle and window seats are gone. Wife is mad because her cherished window seat is gone -15 hour flight to Dubai, and there goes her beauty rest, as she leans against the window using it as a pillow. Emirates offers an upgrade for each person in the party for $1000 per person in the party. We consider it, but the offer is snapped up by others in an instant. We check in our oversized luggage to Nairobi. Total length + width + height cannot exceed 62", nor weight exceed 50 lbs. $100 surcharge for each bag exceeding the guidelines. Takes 20 minutes to check in our luggage to Nairobi, but the booking agent forgot to give us a second pair of boarding passes for the Dubai to Nairobi portion. We haul our carry on luggage, and enter through one of three entrances to the A380.Plane has two decks, each deck stretching the entire length of the aircraft.. Beautiful aircraft, with the seats having an inch+ more legroom and more width than the latest version of the Boeing 747, its main competitor. One place where that inch + makes a huge difference! I should know as I sat in a center section seat, hemmed in on both sides for 15 hours! Plane had a read out on the partition wall, with the vacancy/occupied status of each of the pair of restrooms in our area. After breakfast was served, we had two straight hours where there were no vacancies, with primarily women waiting. Flight was 90% Asian Indian. 3 free hot meals served on this aircraft, and they are well prepared, tasty, served with metal utensils. Only got 3.5 hours of intermittent sleep due to 3 crying babies in our section of 76 seats. Wife had it worse, as she was seated next to an arm rest hog in the aisle, who also had acute body odor! And there as a crying baby two seat away! Least you think that was a fluke, on the trip back to SFO had 4 crying babies in my section of 100. Lots of young Indian engineers and their families going to and from India through Emirates Dubai. Made it through the 15 hour flight thanks to some top flight movies such as the 2016 version of the Magnificent 7, and the latest Jack Reacher thriller! In Dubai, we had a 15 hour layover and used a complimentary hotel stay overnight, complete with dinner and breakfast buffet, and free shuttle to and from the hotel to the airport! We were anxious to get the hell ouf of Dodge,as it was 117 degrees in Dubai!

Worst service ever. Confusing line out of order. They did not tell us that you need to have a up to 6 months valid passport to fly when you already got 4 months valid left on your passport why the hell would emirates not tell us that there is an issue when buying the tickets and checking in, they don't say shit until we arrive to checkin . Stay way from this horrendous airline and save yourself the torture .

Some of the tasty items in the first/business class lounge at SFO.

Their business class beats other airlines' first class. Fact. They just opened a fantastic new lounge at SFO too. A nice place to relax.

I would give Emirates 5 stars if they didn't forget my luggage in Dubai. Look I'm that forgiving... all because I've had such great in-flight experience with them. Business class is SUPERB. I am not use to be pampered like that since I used to fly with United. Seats are spacious and CLEAN. Yes, no breadcrumbs or nasty stuff laying on the crack of the seats. Meals are tasty, 4 stars restaurant quality, with warm apple tart and NY style cheese cake (Unlike the gooey stale dessert cake that's served in United). Their interactive system (ICE) is a touch screen with plenty of movies and entertainments, also comes with a noise canceling headset. After meal, the crew will provide you with a fresh mattress over your seat. So cushy that I slept like a baby for 8 hours in the 16 hours flight (SFO to Dubai). They also serve real towels in the toilets. Not the disposable gray paper towel like the one provided by United that break apart easily. I also like the adjustable privacy panel that can raise up on the side so you can sleep better. The ceiling turns into a starry sky when the lights are off..... a very nice touch on the details :) Did I also mentioned the beautiful and friendly international fleet of crew members? The girls also tried to help me to put my carry on to the overhead bin, without me asking. I was shocked because I was so used to the UA crew giving me a blank stare with their arms crossed, telling me that's not part of their job to hurt their back. Their business lounge in Dubai also has excellent buffet, shower area, spa, WiFi, business center with free computers, Xbox, and some useless Microsoft Surface tables. Their complimentary Chauffeur-drive service is also impressive (to and from the airport). I was going to transfer the miles to UA, but I think I'll open up a Skyward account with them now. Emirates here I come!

It looks like the reviews on Yelp is either 1 or 5 stars. This could tell you that they're not the best airline in the business today. I flew with them last week and that would be my LAST trip with them. I give them 2 stars and here are the reasons for that: 1. My outbound seat from SFO to Dubai was changed when I dropped off my bag. I made the reservation with the confirmed seat and even checked in online the day before. But they changed my seat from row 31 to 36 right in front of the restroom. Boy, this is the worst seat on the airplane and I couldn't change because it's a full fight (-1 stars). 2. I had the worst experience on the route between Dubai and India (both directions). They must use the OLDEST airplane as the back of my seat doesn't work. When the seat is leaned back, the bottom portion stuck out and push my waist forward. I called the flight attendants and they cannot fix it. I've to endure the back pain for the 3.5 hrs duration (-2 stars). 3. There is a curse on this trip or something. Emirates actually bumped me off on my flight from Dubai to SFO as they overbooked the tickets. They gave my seat to another Gold star members and told me to take a connection flight thru Seattle or take the next day flight. I refused to take their offer of a Free round trip with Emirates as I had decided NOT to fly with them ever again. To accommodate their mistake, they upgraded me to Business class on the longest leg to Seattle. For this, I give them one star to make it even. In short, I'd suggest you to be careful when you book and check-in with Emirates as they can screw you at their own will. Good luck!!!

The SFO-DBX flight has USB and charging points for each seat. That's pretty neat!

    Ask the Community - Emirates

I have a very long flight (16 hours) booked from San Francisco to Dubai on the Airbus A380-800. I plan to bring a reusable water bottle onboard. Is there a water dispenser or will I need to bother the flight attendants?

I have only been in the economy seats. Bring extra water. Also feel free to get up and go get your own from the attendants. They did not come around enough. But the reusable comes in handy when you get there. Go to your hotels gym and refill bottle… Read more

Compared with several competing carriers, United Airlines offered the most practical itinerary and convenient departure times for my trip. The booking process was smooth and easy to navigate. Fare options, baggage allowances, seat selections, and upgrade opportunities were clearly displayed, making it simple to customize my trip according to my travel preferences. **Priority Airport Experience & Efficient Flow** My airport experience started positively. Check-in counters were well organized, and airline staff members were courteous and efficient. Security screening moved smoothly, and boarding commenced close to the scheduled departure time. Although the gate area became crowded shortly before departure, the overall boarding process remained relatively organized and stress-free. Call +1-(888) 925-4077 or +1-(888) 925-4077 today for fast assistance with your United Airlines travel needs. United Airlines customer support can help with flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, seat upgrades, check-in assistance, and other travel-related services. **Comfortable Cabin & Calm Environment** Once onboard, the aircraft appeared clean and well-maintained. Most flight attendants were friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the journey. Their positive attitude contributed significantly to the overall experience. However, seat comfort did not entirely meet my expectations. I paid approximately $140 extra for seats that appeared to offer a more comfortable arrangement during booking, only to discover that the actual seating configuration onboard differed slightly from what had been displayed online. My assigned seat, K6, offered limited cushioning, forcing me to use additional pillows and blankets for lower back support during the flight. While manageable on shorter routes, improved seat padding would certainly enhance comfort on longer journeys. **Reliable Journey & Smooth Arrival** The flight departed with only a minor delay and arrived close to schedule. Inflight snack and beverage services were delivered efficiently, and baggage delivery after arrival moved relatively quickly. Unfortunately, customer service before departure proved frustrating. I initially contacted a representative in Seattle regarding flight details and aircraft information. I was then transferred to another department, believed to be located in Portland, where I was informed they could not assist and provided another contact number. After several transfers and repeated explanations, I was eventually redirected back to the original department before finally receiving the information I needed. The aircraft itself looked attractive, and the majority of cabin crew members worked hard throughout the journey. However, cabin cleanliness declined slightly as the flight progressed. A few passengers were loud and inconsiderate, while some lavatories required additional attention after several hours in the air. Although United Airlines provided excellent customer-focused service, convenient route options, and professional cabin crews, the inconsistent customer support, disappointing seat comfort, and minor cleanliness concerns overshadowed some of the positives. Would I fly United Airlines again? Yes, particularly for travel along the West Coast and across North America. However, before future trips, I would also compare fares and schedules with United Airlines , United Airlines , United Airlines , Latam Air Lines, United Airlines , Priceline, United Airlines , United Airlines and United Airlines to determine which carrier offers the best overall value and onboard experience.

However, before future trips, I would also compare fares and schedules with Delta Airlines , Delta Airlines , Delta Airlines , Latam Air Lines, Delta Airlines , Priceline, Delta Airlines , Delta Airlines and Delta Airlines to determine which carrier offers the best overall value and onboard experience.

This line also provides quick guidance for updating travel plans, checking flight details, and dealing with unexpected changes, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. **Effortless Booking & Clear Travel Setup** I chose Asiana Airlines primarily because of its strong reputation for customer service, convenient West Coast route network, and competitive fares. Compared with several competing carriers, Asiana Airlines offered the most practical itinerary and convenient departure times for my trip. Call +1 833 (246)-4460™ or +1 (833) 246-44.60™, today for fast assistance with your Asiana Airlines travel needs. All Asiana Airlines customer support can help with flight reservations, ticket changes, cancellations, baggage inquiries, seat upgrades, check-in assistance, and other travel-related services. Although Asiana Airlines provided excellent customer-focused service, convenient route options, and professional cabin crews, the inconsistent customer support, disappointing seat comfort, and minor cleanliness concerns overshadowed some of the positives. Would I fly Asiana Airlines again? Yes, particularly for travel along the West Coast and across North America. However, before future trips, I would also compare fares and schedules with Asiana Airlines, Asiana Airlines, Asiana Airlines, Ethiopian Airlines and Asiana Airlines to determine which carrier offers the best overall value and onboard experience.

I attempted to buy a ticket from the U.S. site, but the payment page only offered China-based payment options like Alipay/WeChat Pay instead of standard U.S. cards. I completed the payment through Alipay, and the money was immediately deducted from my account. However, the Asiana website then showed "payment failed," no ticket was issued, and there was no confirmation email. This situation is extremely concerning. The airline took my money but did not deliver the ticket, leaving me to chase customer service for resolution. International travelers should not have to deal with missing payment methods, failed transactions after funds are already collected, and unclear refund processes. If you're booking from the U.S., be very cautious. Make sure you have confirmation before assuming your purchase went through. My experience has been stressful, time-consuming, and financially uncomfortable while waiting for the refund to be processed.

Their 20-passenger party bus was the perfect size for our group. Sharon made the booking process incredibly easy and was so helpful in answering all of our questions. Their pricing was also much more affordable than other companies we looked at, so booking with them was an easy decision. We were able to schedule pickup from our friend's house, transportation to our event, and a return pickup and drop-off afterward without any issues. Our driver, Leland, provided 10/10 service. He made sure we had the best experience from the moment we got on the bus by setting up the Bluetooth before we left and making sure the cooler was stocked with ice. He even picked us up a little earlier than scheduled since our event ended ahead of time. Most importantly, he got us to and from our destination safely while making the ride fun and enjoyable. Thank you, Leland, for being such an amazing driver! We'll definitely be booking with CLS Global Transportation again for future events, and I recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, affordable, and excellent party bus service.

Her response time, attention to detail, kindness, and personable approach have been incredible. She has made planning so much easier and more enjoyable, and we are so excited for the actual experience!

According to…read moreBooking.com's policy, I was eligible to cancel my ticket within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. I canceled the ticket within that 24-hour period because I found a cheaper option elsewhere. However, I have not been refunded for the seat selection fee. Booking.com stated that it is not their responsibility and advised me to contact Turkish Airlines. When I contacted Turkish Airlines, I was informed that seat selection fees are non-refundable. I find this unacceptable because I canceled the ticket within the eligible refund period and never used the flight or the selected seats. According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, if an airline requires payment at the time of reservation, it must allow consumers to cancel the reservation within 24 hours and receive a full refund. This policy is mandatory in the United States. Furthermore, the Department of Transportation states that consumers are entitled to refunds for fees related to ancillary services when the associated flight is canceled or refunded. Ancillary services include optional services such as advance seat selection, baggage fees, Wi-Fi access, meals, and seat upgrades. The seat selection was purchased as part of a reservation that was canceled within the required 24-hour period.

We'd love to fly them again, as the in cabin service and lay down bed comfort is outstanding. The food selections can be a little strange (for our uninspiring tastes), but its interesting, well presented, and quite good. Turkish Airlines back office continues to confound. It's the only airline I know that requires you to enter the 6-digit reservation code AND the e-ticket number (which is harder to find). And when we jumped those hoops this time around, we still couldn't check in. Our travel agent was able to back door us in on the SFO departure leg, and we just showed up in Cairo to check in. Then there's the matter of which Business Class lounge Turkish contracts with at SFO. Even the local Turkish agents didn't know, while the folks at the United Polaris Lounge insisted that it wasn't them. We end up using our Priority Pass card at "The Club" a good walk away as our Plan B. By the way, the Business Class Lounge at the Istanbul Airport is fabulous, while the Egypt Air one we used in Cairo was just OK. I know, 1st world issues....

Check-in agents seemed to be contract staff, based upon their generic black uniform. Check-in was courteous and easy. Security was easy. TSA Pre check and priority security seemed to be bundled together where no liquids or laptop needing to be removed. ANA's contract lounge United Polaris and United Club were both horrific and embarrassing. Boarding was on-time and merely a photo was needed to board. As our plane was merely 1/3 full, boarding was quick and we left ahead of schedule. Service started with a pre-departure beverage and we were given a couple amuse bouches for the late night departures. Heavy snacks are available at any time. Flew out on the original Boeing 777-300ER and it was fine. All the seats face forward and wifi is complimentary for Business class passengers. Apparently ANA sends out a voucher via email...I didn't find mine maybe because I booked via United? The seat itself is lieflat and forward facing. The screen is touchscreen and can be also controlled by the remote. There is a reading lamp too. The seat includes a mattress topper along with a super comfortable blanket and pillow. Service throughout the flight was world class. A meal was served 2.5 hours prior to landing. Opted for the Japanese option which included a wide variety of appetizers along with a main course of steamed fish served with a side of steam rice and miso soup.
