Hoping for some improvement. The good and mediocre. Ordered for pickup two of the two crab cake platter meals, total cost was $129 + $20 tip. Order was for one with curly fries the other with onion rings and each with coleslaw. Crabcakes were of good size at 8 oz each and the coleslaw was just like mom's. The onion rings never made it to one of the platters, just ended up with shoestring fries on that one and not very many. I could see the foil lining the container through the pile of fries. Curly fries were OK, seemed like more were there than the shoestring. Also never received the ordered tartar sauce for either meal. The crabcakes had good flavor and very minimal shells present (9 out of 10 on that) but didn't seem to have been cooked long enough. I realized this when the next day I decided to eat the second crab cake and cooked in my convection oven for an additional 30 minutes and THEN it was very delectable. Would like in the future for the crab cakes to maybe have the option to fry or broil and cooked a bit longer, receive my order correctly and maybe, when someone is spending $67 on average per meal (minus tip) to not be skimpy with the sides. I mean really, how much do fries cost? A one pound frozen bag in the store is $8 at most, I got maybe 4 ounces. I know in the same general area there is a burger store whose name that starts with a number guys, hint hint, that gives double your order of fries when you pay $5.99. Next time I will be more cautious and maybe not go all out thinking it was going to be a smash hit. The restaurant is really close to me so I hope it will be a better experience next time. For those with disabilities, there is accessible parking in the lot but the restaurant itself is up about 6 steps and through a 90 degree alcove with two doors and very liitle room to navigate. There is no apparant accessibility for those who use walkers or wheelchairs. The ramp you see here is for access to the kitchen and through the window, it doesn't seem like a safe passage. I am very sure however that if asked, the staff would bring your food out if necessary. They seem very nice and willing to accomodate.

We wanted to love this place but there were just too many problems. Things started off great. It was busy but we were seated right away. We ordered soup and an appetizer but took a few minutes to decide on entrees. The fried pickles were excellent and the cream of crab soup had lots of crab meat but needed seasoning. We eventually managed to flag down a server to get some crab seasoning and that helped a lot. Things went downhill from there. Half an hour went by and we noticed that people at the tables around us who had come in long after us had ordered, gotten their food, eaten it, and were now paying their checks. We asked our server what was going on and after a few minutes the owner came out and apologized. She said our ticket had gone in right after some large parties and that crabs come out faster because they come from the steamer but she didn't really have a response for why the table behind us who sat down about 20 minutes after us had finished their burgers and crab cakes already. Eventually our entrees came out, 40 minutes after the apps. We could smell the ammonia from the fried catfish. Pretty sure the oil the hush puppies were fried in wasn't hot enough because they were really greasy. My stuffed shrimp was supposed to be a crab cake over broiled shrimp with cream imperial on top. The shrimp was fine and the crab cake was good enough but nothing special. The problem was the "imperial" sauce. It was half an inch of hot mayonnaise sprinkled with J. O., no cream, no lemon or worchester, just mayo piled over everything. Both entrees were basically inedible. The owner came back and apologized again but also tried to tell us that they sell a lot of catfish so it couldn't be bad and that everyone loved their crab imperial. She was very nice about it and did comp our whole meal but it really felt like she didn't believe us that our food was bad. It's entirely possible we just got really unlucky with a bunch of kitchen mistakes but there were just too many for us to want to try again.

Father's Day last minute crab buyers. Emmert's workers were moving the line fairly quickly.

They have closed their trailer in Laurel and are now open in Dayton where Floyd's Crossroads Pub was. Some of the same employees and all of the good food as before. We recently stopped in on a lazy Saturday about 3pm for some soup, onion rings, steamed crabs & cold beer. Thats how Marylanders roll! All very good. Fantastic wait staff, very friendly & knowledgeable. We will return often. Thank you!

Would give zero if I could. Horrible experience. Arrived at 6pm with reservations made a week ago for my mother's birthday dinner this evening. Waitress seemed pleasant. Ordered appetizers and soups. About 10 minutes later ordered entrees. Appetizers (crab dip and hush puppies) and soups took almost an hour to arrive at the table. Crab dip tasted like it was made with rotten crabs and so bland. Had such a strange taste. Soup was watery and thin. Finally entrees came another 45 minutes later and 3 out of the 5 of us ordered stuffed shrimp. They were ice cold, not cooked all the way and the imperial sauce was like rancid mayonnaise. Inedible. Came here on a recommendation of a family friend. Drove an hour one way to be so disappointed. And the waitress never stopped once during the 45-60 minute waits between to update us as to why soup took 60 minutes to dip out of a pot. Very disappointed.

Loved the atmosphere. Expect to put down at least $30 which was worth it. Fried Chesapeake Oysters with the dent corn hominy was excellent. I wish I did not have to share this appetizer. The Block Island Scallops over the Narragansett succotash was perfect. The scallops nicely seared, and the succotash was excellent and did well with the scallops. The Eastern Shore Crab Cake was large and perfect. Nicely prepared. The zucchini that came with it was also done well and not overly seasoned. The potato salad was a surprise. Not expecting much, it was one of my favorites, and I wish I could have a plate full of it to chow down. Make it a day and visit this establishment and enjoy the day. I've been giving out a lot of 5 stars recently, but this is a place that really deserves it. It's a must visit. It'd been many moons since I had escargot, so I got it. Despite one cooked snail being basically impossible to scrape out and my fine motor dexterity isn't great, it was delightful. My wife loved her seafood stew. Our shared side of the grilled Zucchini (definitely enough to share) was also a highlight. We've been raving about our fried clam sandwich and lobster roll since. Both were amazing; my wife said it was the best lobster roll she's had (we've never been to maine or anywhere known for lobster). The dessert passion fruit pie was a great way to end, also shared, but the crust was a little too thick and the dollop on top did kind of over power the curd. The birthday sprinkles (it wasnt either of our birthdays) were cute. We will be back. Especially to try the raw bar (We're pregnant and didnt want to risk it).

We walked into the restaurant and stood at the hostess stand and no one came to seat us so we went to the bar to seat ourselves. The restaurant was beautiful and had a great nautical theme. The bartender was very sarcastic and didn't seem like he cared much about still being at work. We sat down at 8:30pm and by 8:45pm, we got the feeling they were cleaning up for closing.. at 10:00pm. I even asked if Google was correct about the close time because it was so off putting. We tried two beers from the tap and they were flat and awful tasting. We even switched one out because it tasted like a wet rag. We ordered our dinners and were surprised at how good it was. I got the "Spaghetti and Meatballs" which is shrimp and lump crab meat made into small balls over linguini with a garlic Alfredo sauce, served with garlic toast. My boyfriend got the Lump Crab Cake sandwich and fries. We agreed that the food was good and came out hot and well seasoned. There were only two other people in the whole restaurant besides us and when they left, it was as if we didn't really exist. Lights were being turned off, dishes and bar was being cleaned, they closed the entrance doors and I had to use my flashlight on my phone to get to the bathroom. The whole time, the owner was sitting at the end of the bar having loud private conversations with her staff who were ordering food from the kitchen at the same time as us. All very strange and not inviting. Probably not going back, and maybe this was a weird one off, but it was so off putting for us. Maybe they are more professional at a peak time of service but I was shocked they were treating it like they were closed at an hour and a half before closing.

Menus and drink orders were brought promptly. I chose the fish tacos, and our server - Casey - asked if I wanted the fish pan seared or blackened. We had a discussion over how many chips and salsa were served with it, because my friend wanted some with his veggie burger. We learned that the amount with an entrée is just right - about two handfuls - so we each had some, with my friend's being a substitution for fries. I almost can't find the words to describe those tacos! The fish was moist, perfectly seasoned and generously heaped in each taco. Often, tacos lean heavily on the veg elements but these had just the right amount of slaw. The flavor of the fish was so delicate and savory. Honestly, one taco was all I could manage. Although they were street taco sized, it was so filling. I only ate a handful of chips; they were good but nothing special, as was the tiny cup of salsa. My friend said his veggie burger was excellent, and he enjoyed the bit of chips and salsa as well. He just had water, while I tried a Corona NA. The bill was around $56, which is very reasonable. There's plenty of free parking in the shopping center. Great service, good prices, excellent food - I'll go back!

Lots of windows and light and bright. At the least it is an awesome place for a happy hour with some good deals that are well advertised. The food to me is just ok. It's often a red flag to me when the bread basket is your favorite thing about the restaurant and this is that. The muffins they give out to every table are diabolical. I could swim in those things. When it comes to what I ordered, the cucumber cups were ok, and the fish I got was well cooked and what I ordered, but there was nothing fun about it. Long story short, I don't jump to go back, but if someone suggests it, I'm not upset. I'll just make sure to order something different and take the whole muffin basket for myself.

I opened up my Yelp app to see if I had bookmarked anything nearby and T&J's Waffles was the first spot that popped up. I didn't know it was walk up location. I was all prepared to sit at a table and have breakfast, but I was already there and I wasn't leaving without food. My dad and I both ordered the classic breakfast platter. It came with two waffles, probably three eggs (we added cheese so that was extra), 4 slices of bacon, and 2 sausage links, and hash brown. The waffles were such a cute shape and they were delicious. I can't confirm this, but I imagine it's their own special batter. They were very generous with the scrambled eggs and I didn't even have to add salt & pepper. I like that there were two meat options. I just wish my bacon wasn't all stuck together to form one piece. Also, the bacon could've been cooked a little more. It was a little fatty and I like a little more crisp. The star of the show was the hash brown. It definitely seemed like it was homemade. This may have been my first time having a homemade hash brown. I'm not sure what they did to it, but here's my guess. It looks shredded potatoes, mixed with green onion, and maybe some cheese, that was packed like a patty & shallow fried. My goodness, I should've ordered some hashbrowns to go so I could eat them for the rest of the week. The platter was so good, I didn't even mind having to eat it in my car. Lol. It was filling & $16 well spent.
